Second book in the Gods of Pain series and I thoroughly enjoyed this book... Even more so than Hades' story! So many shock factors that I didn't expect with Andromeda and Poseidon's relationship evolving along the way. If you love stories of the gods and Greek mythology... and with a hefty amount of spice, you will love this one!

CHECK TRIGGERS BEFORE READING! 🔥🥵🔥

House of Poseidon is the second book in the Gods of Pain series and if I thought Hades was 🔥🥵🔥 then that is nothing compared to Poseidon!!! Anyone that knows me, knows how obsessed I am with Greek Mythology; my entire life from childhood to now. However, I was rarely ever drawn to Poseidon and tried to not read too many retelling about him but I ARC for Author K.M Mixon and knew she was going to give me something different. She did not disappoint. Not only did I enjoy the story between Posiden and Andromeda but now I want to read more stories about the characters and that’s saying a lot. Not surprising though the author has that pull about her…one story i’m crying, another i’m sympathizing hard with a character and in another i need to turn a d@mn fan on because oh my 🥵.

Just like Hades- Poseidon is broken, dark, k!nky, commanding, dominant, sinfully delicious and deep down just wants to be loved.

Andromeda is set to marry her uncle, she has no control over her life. But when her mother makes a mistake by offending a God, her father makes a deal to have Andromeda marry his son Perseus. This is an upgrade right? Not having to marry her own uncle but an attractive demi-god who talks the court from his good looks to his victories. She’s even excited for the marriage. Yet she learns her soon-to-be new husband is not to her liking. In fact she can’t stand him. Regardless she still has to go through the wedding. She could focus on the good moments and traits of her new husband ..yeah.she can do that.
When she finds out the truth behind her marriage-Andromeda goes to Zeus to ask to null the marriage but instead gets chained to a rock in the middle of the ocean for a sea monster to eat her.

Can she survive? Why must she be pushed for her mother and husband's misdoings?

When the sea monster Certus allows her to live and keeps her. Andromeda soon finds out that the Certus is not who they say he is.

Drawn to her, Poseiden keeps Andromeda and takes her to his underwater kingdom. Trying to stay away from her seems to become harder and harder when he craves her so badly. But she’s too pure and innocent for him, he destroys everything he touches so he must go away. Poseidon soon notices that Andromeda is a spitfire and she’s done with his games. She wants what she wants and that ..him.

Poseidon ..awww poor Poseidon..this character makes you want to air hug him because I doubt he’ll be open to a real hug lol. He just wanted love but went about it the wrong way like his brother. I love the cameo appearances from the other characters. Andromeda was a strong heroine and I was for it. My favorite line to show was “ She’s a seductress, and I’m her victim,” “You come to life with a blade in your hand, pearl,” He growls. “You’re f**king enchanting.”

I absolutely can not wait for ANY book this author releases. Just wish I got to see more about what happened with Andromeda’s mother…her punishment.

I received a free copy of this book directly from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

This the second book in the Gods of pain series. I was recieved a copy from the author and she didn’t disappoint with this book.
Poseidon and Andromeda pulled you into the story and I will be happy to see them again throughout the series. This story is a rollercoaster of a ride with tears, laughter, and a towel is required for many scenes 🔥🔥.

Poseidon is dark, flawed,a kinky dom who wants to be loved. Andromeda was meant to have an arranged marriage to her uncle, which she refused to go through with. Her mother upset Zeus and her father made a deal with Zeus for her to marry Perseus.
That marriage was not what she imagined and she discovered her husband’s betrayal, she asked Zeus to annul the marriage and he chains her to a rock to be eaten by a sea monster.

The sea monster Certus is actually Poseidon and he is attracted to her and takes her to Atlantis, he thinks she won't be able to play the way he likes to play, but Andromeda is feisty and she wants him.

Poseidon wants to be loved but like Hades he does everything back to front, Andromeda is strong and is able to give as good as she gets.

Seeing Hades and Persphone in the book and watching the 2 women becoming friends was fun and hope to see more of his as the series progresses.

“She’s a seductress and I’m her victim” Poseidon
You come to life with a blade in your hand, pearl,” He growls You’re fucking enchanting”

This author is an auto buy for me and she just makes Greek mythology fun again and I can’t wait for book 3.

This book was everything I wanted in a sequel and then some. I would recommend starting with book 1 of the series, House of Hades if you haven't read it already. There are some things in Poseidon's book that will make more sense if you have already read Hades'. This is a dark romance, and the author provides a clear trigger warning page before the book so that readers can check that before starting.

I LOVED this book. I tore through it in 24 hours, just like I did when I read House of Hades. It's so immersive and addicting that I couldn't put it down. The characterization is fantastic, all the characters feel so much like real people, and their actions make sense for their individual personalities. Andromeda was a wonderful heroine, I loved seeing her relationships with the other characters in the story grow and change as the story went along. I loved being able to see Hades and Persephone again, as well as getting some subtle foreshadowing on who the heroine in the next book might be.

The spice is PERFECT. It's soooo good. I don't get tired or bored reading the spicy scenes; they truly do add to the plot and help drive the stories and the evolution of the characters. I didn't think there were too many, and I don't think the spice took away from the plot. I felt the emotions of this book, there were points where it made me cry. I think any book that can evoke that level of emotion in the reader is worthwhile.

This was a great next installment in the series, and I am already DYING for the next one. I may be slightly biased in that I absolutely LOVE Greek mythology and retellings of it, but this one definitely does not disappoint!

*In full disclosure, I did receive an advance copy of this book in return for an honest review.*

One of the things that I love about Mixon’s heroines is that they are no wallflowers. And Andromeda was no exception. She’s confident and takes no shit from anyone, Gods included. She’s fierce and passionate (in more ways than one👀) The epilogue had me in tears, which quickly turned into me hollering!

House of Poseidon is book 2 in the Gods of Pain series. It’s full of spice, dark romance and memorable characters. The spice includes kinks so I recommend you check out the trigger warnings😏 Poseidon absolutely is the epitome of ‘touch her and die’ vibes. The twists and turns will have you on the edge of your seat! I received complimentary review copy from the author but it in no way influences my review.

✨ Life is full of sadness, but life is also full of happiness (not in the toxic positivity way)
✨ But she gleams with a luster so bright, that it chases back the blackness in my soul. The blackness answers only to one, Andromeda
✨ Because of his love, I feel as though I can do anything

📖 Book Review 📖
House of Poseidon - Seas of Betrayal
By @kmmixon

Book 2 in the Gods of Pain series is about the alluring and broken Poseidon. The way his character is built just made me fall and feel for him from the beginning. When he meets his match in Andromeda, a girl with a terrible past life and a bleeding heart, she’s almost the end of him.

This book has an expansive plot, but that won’t leave you missing the spice, because boy is it there. If you love breath play & have a kink for pain, you’ll love it! There’s also a few new surprises thrown in, that I’ve never seen portrayed, which was refreshing.

Since this is an interconnected standalone series (that should be read in order), I loved getting to see Hades & Persephone return, and play a large role toward the end.

This book is full of emotion, spice, and the ending will have you grabbing for book three to see what the heck is going to happen!

I absolutely love this newest book in this series about Gods. KM Mixon does a wonderful job of this dark romance retelling on Poseidon. The best part is besides the men are the women that they love. They are just as powerful and stand as equals.

Poseidon may be a God but that does not mean he is without his own personal demons. Ones that keep him from fully expressing himself. That is until Andromeda. She does not give up on Poseidon. Little by little she teases it out of him until he gives in to his desires. This is when the temperatures rise. They were so hot that the water would have been boiling.

KM Mixon promised that each book would get spicer and she delivers on that promise. I can't wait to read book three.

Ok so let’s start by saying please check your triggers because this is a little on the darker side and may not be for everybody.

Now that we’ve spoken about the good stuff, let’s get to the juicier part where I show you everything I loved about Poseidon wrapped up in a deliciously demented package? Yeah let’s go with that.

“If his hands are on her, I'll fucking murder him in front of her. She’ll watch his last spurts of life spray from his throat. Then I'll fuck her with his blood as lubricant!”

He was a little bit on the crazier side and I can’t say I disliked it at all. I absolutely loved how much he was at war with himself when it came to Andromeda and I loved that she gave as much as she got…literally and figuratively (especially with all things light in the flesh 😏)

K.M’s writing was impeccable and she has a way of making you realize you might actually be sorta, kinda into some things you never thought of before and I love it. I also really loved how well the characters from the previous book were tied in, bringing the world she’s building to life. This was worth every second I spent reading it and cannot wait for Daddy, I mean, book 3 💀

P. S. Harold will forever and always be King😂

I don’t think I can choose between the 2 books so far in the Gods of Pain series. Hades set the tone, Poseidon brings it home. This book is just super hot, super sexual, super kinky and of course, super passionate. Andromeda loves and she loves hard. But Poseidon, he didn’t think he was capable of it. He’s a ruined man. He’s dark and his pleasure brings pain. But the woman doomed to spend her days in his kingdom she’s the perfect woman for him. KM Mixon sure knows how to flesh out her characters in the not so obvious way. For some reason, her words just flow off the page right straight into your brain. Im doomed, because I’m in love with Poseidon.

This about the mythological God of the Sea, Poseiden. This is the second book in th God"s of Pain series. This story is driven by the interactions of Andromeda and Poseiden. She starts as an unwitting gift from Zeus. She quickly becomes so much more. The steamy scenes are perfectly timed and HOT. The banter between the MCs is sassy at times. The FMC is strong betrayal but those she care about makes her this way. The Hades and Persephone, from book 1, make an appearance. Their characters add to the charm of this story. The ending while not a cliffhanger is full of suspense. *Please note trigger warnings. Some scenes are explicit and are for 18+.* I recommend this book.

KM Mixon is a dangerously amazing writer! I cannot express enough how much I connected with this book and felt like I was literally sucked into her world.

The spice throughout the book is on point. I loved watching the relationship between Poseidon and Adromedia grow from something potentially f@tal to something K!kny and dark.

I recommend ANYTHING KM Mixon writes if you are into freedom of seggual expression, dark romance, love defying moments, and a passion for the written word that out blows most books out of the water.

If you love a dark romance with a greek retelling, this book is for you!

Andromeda (Andie) has pulled the short end of the stick when she has to pay for her mother's crimes. Little did she know that Fate was putting her into the path of Poseidon. Andie is drawn to Poseidon, and he is also instantly drawn to her. However, Poseidon has a darkness that lives within him; if Andie gets too close, she may just burn. An incredible dark romance with a greek retelling!

Side note: I LOVED THIS ONE EVEN MORE THAN THE FIRST IN THE SERIES!!

I loved this so much!! Another fantastic book by K.M.Mixon! This is the second book of the Gods of Pain series. Andromeda is a spirited, sassy, astute woman. The way she handles her self in all the situations she gets her self into is amazing. Poseidon is a very dark, and twisted man who makes you fall in love with all his scars, physical and mental ones. The two together is an amazing story line that I couldn’t get enough of and read it twice! Hades and Persephone make a couple appearances in this book and I love it! Seeing them in this story line really immerses you into the books and the world they live in. The last book was steamy and this one is just as steamy if not more. The descriptive spicy scenes are what make this author stand out to me. She describes the spice and the acts with grace and facts. This is what makes the books enjoyable for an adult smut reader. The author gives trigger warnings at the beginning of her books for what to expect with the spicy content. Please heed those warnings and do your research if your not familiar with some of the things she mentions. If your ready for your mind to be blown then this is the book for you to read. (If your like me you will be salivating for more by the end.) I’m so glad I was able to arc read this book! There is so many good things I could say about this book I’d keep you here all day! Be on the look out for more from this author!!

It is no secret that Poseidon is my favorite from Greek Mythology! The character who stole the show in this book was definitely Andromeda! I adored her character development and her strength! I love how Mixon writes strong female characters and how they shine through the pages. Poseidon was sexy, demanding, and just knew how to take care of his woman! This book will take your breath away with every turn of the page! You don’t want to miss out on this one!

This book was flipping amazing! If you have not read House of Hades stop and go read that. This book is the second book in the House of Pain series and need to be read in order to get the full experience. Poseidon story was amazing! I couldn't put this book down. They way the author keeps close to true Greek mythology but twist it enough to work for her story but keep it close to the origin. I can't wait for the next story.

This one!
I thought I loved book 1 in this series but I stand corrected.
The way K.M. Mixon dove into Andie and Poseidon was truly so much more than the relationship between Persephone and Hades.
Poseidon has so many deep and tormented levels and family back story. Andie had her own traumas that I can't personally say I would have dealt with as gracefully as she does in this book.
And the biggest twist in the story. My jaw was on the floor cause I wasn't expecting that.

Absolutely loved Poseidon and this story of him couldn't of been better!

There was spice and torment but there was also chemistry between our main roles!

Although the Author strayed more away from the original story of Poseidon, there was massive elements and references put in that made me excited and had my.brain working.

I absolutely love mythology its my thing! So I love the little side characters that reference actual beings from the mythology world! It was just perfect.

This book is spicier then the last and if you are new to this sort of read please to read the triggers before!!
