Javelin Man: The Story of Pontius Pilate

Very little is known about Marcus Pontius Pilate, the infamous judge at the trial of Jesus of Nazareth. He was of the upper Roman equestrian class and a soldier who eventually was appointed as Governor of Judea. When Jesus came before him to be tried for sedition, he tried to free him on several occasions. Why? What was his reasoning to release him rather than execute him? What was he afraid of? What happened to him after the trial? This book will present historical facts as recorded from the Apocrypha, Roman archives of the Vatican, historian Josephus, the gospels of the bible, and other sources mixed with some conjecture to show how Pilate became governor of Judea and why he tried to free Jesus. As a historical novel you will learn about the creation of the Roman Empire, how that affected the appointment of Pilate to Judea, the inner workings of the Jewish councils and Roman government, and the reason Pilate tried to free Jesus.

Tragic

A sad story of a man marked by destiny, that somewhere along his public life took wrong turns because of his weakness. A great account of man's life that has always shrouded in condemnation, mystery and history. Conrad Samayoa.
