Can this older man help this curvy baker with a midnight break-in?
Josie If one more raccoon gets into my shop, I’m moving! At least that’s what I’ve convinced myself of. Until a tall, brooding, inked friend shows up to save the day. Now, I can’t take my eyes off him. And if raccoons mean he’s here longer, they are welcome to stay.
Wyatt I haven’t been able to get Josie off my mind. She’s sweet, curvy, and knows exactly what she wants. When a stranger from the past threatens a local family, we work together to keep them safe. But I never expected to fall this hard. Josie is going to be mine. I won’t take no for an answer.
Dear readers, This is a steamy, age gap romance. As always, this title comes with Khloe's 'Easy Escape Seal' a no cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA guarantee.
The wind, the birds, the sun… nothing else exists. It’s just us, and the longer we kiss, the more I lose myself in a story I know I’ll tell a million times over. The first time I kissed the most beautiful woman in the world. The first time I kissed the woman I knew I was going to fall in love with.
Six months ago, Josie thought she was getting closer to Wyatt, but he had different ideas. He thought their age difference was too much and that she deserved better so he backed off and didn't pursue her.
Now, their feelings are stronger than ever. But can they get past the age difference?
This novella was good, but not great imo. I felt it lacked some substance.
important bits: virgin heroine age gap (25h, 40sH) celibate hero (15 years) not a manwhore hero no om/ow no cheating safe HEA & epilogue ♡.

Josie is getting tired of the raccoon visits where they get inside and mess up everything in her bakery. She is even contemplating making candles instead so she can have the lovely scents without the enticement to the wildlife to come share! Her landlord promises to send Maddox or Wyatt to help her with the raccoon problem. She is hoping it is not Wyatt. Six months ago, she wanted so badly to have him ask her out. But instead he avoided her. She will just have to learn to avoid him. Then Cami, her landlord’s wife and a friend of hers, walked in to help her clean up the bakery mess and invited her to a psychic reading she was going to that evening.
When Wyatt arrived instead of Maddox, Cami left and Wyatt went up into the attic. He lured the raccoons back through the hole they made by offering a granola bar, then blocked the hole until he could purchase lumber to fix it. Josie said she was going to lunch and he implied he would join her. She told him he lost his chance. But since she was not with someone else yet, he told her why he had not made a move toward her. He thought he was too old for her and not worthy. He was an untraveled homebody while she had traveled the world. But she would not date him. He was here on a service call, not because he chose to ask her on a date. But later, she regretted her decision.
To her surprise, Josie and Cami found out that Wyatt is the psychic’s grandson. He arrives to fix something for her and he asks Josie to have dinner with him. When he arrives, she decides to be up front with him and tell him she wants marriage and children. No more waiting. If he is not ready to commit, they need to walk away from each other. Will Wyatt, who overthinks things, make his feelings known now? She hasn’t told him she has never been with anyone else because she doesn’t want to slow things down. But will he accept her conditions? Is he ready to commit and fall in love?
WOW!! I absolutely love it!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read. It has a very nice HEA that takes place eight years ahead, love that!!!
Wyatt meets Josie six months ago when he come to help fix her locks on her door at her bakery. He hasn't been back even though he talks to her sister Molly Protector about her. Wyatt tells her he convinced himself that their age difference was to much that she deserved more. She asks him why is he worried aobut their age gap, he tells her that the moment he saw her he knew, she was special and he's not, he's just an ordinary guy who loves his home town where she's a wild and free, who wants to see the world. She tells him that's what she liked about him the most, he tells her he's not thinking clearly lately and he won't until she agrees to a date. Josie asks him what if she didn't call and he hadn't come over, he tells her he was trying to get up enough nerve to come and see her. She tells him to save it she'll pay him for his time but he tells her he doesn't want her money. Cleaning takes Josie the rest of the afternoon, so she can't open her bakery. When she gets all cleaned up she starts working on Raven's cake for her thirteenth birthday party. Then she heads out to go with Cami to the physic reading, Cami tells the woman she has a beautiful home, and asks her if she's lived her all her life. Ms. Beaux tells Cami she's lived there since Henry's parents owned the place and hasn't moved an inch. Josie asks her if she ever traveled out of Rugged Mountain and she tell them she never seen a need for it, everything is right here. Cami and Josie asks for a general reading, Ms. Beaux tells Cami she's in a lot of turmoil then describes Raven and tells Cami there's a man with her with a tattoo of a boat with a broken mass on his arm, he's there to help her, he's Obsessed Obsessed with her. Cami asks her if it's Tag, but Ms. Beaux tells her no, this man is in love with Raven. Ms. Beaux tells Cami she lost the connection and when she closes her eyes again, she tells her she can only see babies, multiple for Josie and arrows. Josie tells her she's not where near ready to have kids, the back door opens and Wyatt walks in. Ms. Beaux tells him he's not suppose to come in the back door when she has clients, he tells his grandmother he's sorry he didn't know she had clients. He tells his grandmother he needs to fix her water heater or she'll be out of water by morning. Ms. Beaux apologies for the intrusion, she asks them where were they, but Cami tells her that got more than enough today and they both thank her for her time. Josie and Cami make plans to met before Raven's birthday party to talk, then Cami leaves to get home to Henry and the kids. Wyatt comes and asks Josie what does she think of her reading, then she apologies for being rude earlier. He asks her if this means she'll have dinner with him, he tells her he'll bring the food. She tells him yes, but she'll make them something. When Wyatt pulls up to Josie's van she's sitting out it, drinking a glass of wine with two lawn chairs and a table. Josie walks up to Wyatt before he gets out, she tells him she's just going to come out and say it, she tells him she's thought about him for months and not in a lady like way, she thought of him against her against her body, she doesn't want him to drags his feet, she wants marriage, babies, and she wants someone who knows that's what they want too. She tells him if that's not something he wants he can go back to his cabin and she'll just go back into her van and pretend this never happened. He tells her if he's going to be honest with her he's had fantasy about her too, but he doesn't want to tell her them. Josie tells him she wants to know, he tells her they're about undressing her and kissing her all over, then bend her over and claim her making her his and giving her babies. He tells her she's perfect, in every way, he wants to hold her forever. That and how dumb he's been for not asking her out sooner. She tells him she thinks of that too but him being older makes her feel safe. Wyatt get out of his truck and tells her they don't have to go slow they can go as fast as she wants. Josie steps up to him and kisses him, the world around them stops it's just them. Wyatt asks her if they should slow down but she tells him no, she doesn't want him to stop. He tells her to lay back so she does, she tells him to take off his clothes. Josie has never come so hard in her life, then straddles him. Before she's gotten him inside her there's a knock on the door, he says he can hear them from the street. Josie doesn't recognize the voice but Wyatt does. Wyatt opens the door to find Tag, Raven's father standing there, he tells him he's looking for Henry and wants to know his address. Wyatt tells him he's not giving that information to him. Wyatt tells Tag he can either leave this mountain on his own and never come back or he'll escort him and he guarantees he never comes back. Tag tells them he just wants to find his daughter and do the right thing. Josie tells Tag it's been thirteen years he's had plenty of time to find her and be part of her life. Tag leaves and Wyatt call Henry to tell him what just happened. Josie is worried Tag's going to wait until morning and then follow them to the party. Wyatt tells her that he would feel better if she came home with him, she tells him why doesn't he stay with her for the night. They head to the party the next morning taking the long way around the mountain to see if they are followed. When they are almost there, Wyatt pulls over, he tells Josie someone has been following him and there in the woods on an ATV. He tells Josie to wait in the vehicle and he'll tells her when to come in, she waits for several minutes then get scared something happened to him. So she calls him he tells her to come in and bring the cake, concussed she leaves the cake in the truck. Wyatt caught Tag he tried to seek into the cabin but Wyatt caught him and soon Henry showed up, and recorded what Tag said about taking Raven. Henry tells Tag he's got it all, and with him knowing he knew about Raven before she was born he doesn't see a judge giving him custody. They tell him to drop the case or they'll call the sheriff and have him arrest for trespassing and the sheriff doesn't take to kindly to strangers in his town. Tag leaves and tells them to to just keep Raven she's not worth it. Henry asks Wyatt how did things go, he tells good too good. Henry tells him, he should stop himself from feeling this good. Josie comes with the cake and Raven loves the horses she put on it. After they leave the party Wyatt asks Josie if she minds if he shows her a special place, she says no she doesn't mind. He tells her he's always wanted to bring someone down her to sit by the river and watch the fireflies come out at night. He just never thought that person would be so perfect for him. She tells him this is something she always wanted since she was a little girl, she tells him there's something intimate about rivers. Wyatt tells her like they're holding a secret, she asks him what kind of secrets. She asks him if he has a secret, he asks her what kind things he hasn't told her yet, she asks him what. He tells her he loves her, he knew he loved her the second he seen her, and it scares him. It's a feeling he's never had before and he can't push it away. He wants her to be his wife, and have kids together, he wants her forever. She tells him she loves him and wants everything with him. He tells her he can't wait to make her his, she tells him to do it now, and give the river another secret. He asks her if she's sure and she tells him yes. Spicy is the tenth book in the Rugged Mountain Ink and I loved it. This older man/younger woman story is about Josie and Wyatt. She grew up on Rugged Mountain but has been a nomad, travelling the country in her camper van but always coming back home to Rugged Mountain. She has been working towards here dream by starting a bakery, but she just can't quite get enough money to get her own mortgage and buy the building. It seems that trash bandits have learned to be clever and have been eating all her stock. Wyatt is a man who does not think he deserves things in life. He has a wonderful heart, would take a bullet for anyone, but just can't quite make up his mind to do things at times. That includes going after Josie and instead just pine after her for the last six months. But when he finally has a chance he is going to have to be decisive, chase the woman he knows is meant to be his, and catch her in his net. I really loved this book, the story and the characters. I laughed a lot, had my heart melt, and got all hot with this couple. This is a definite RECOMMEND READ. There are some previous characters that are in and out of this book but you do not have to have read the previous books, but you will pick up some things if you did.
Josie had been everywhere in her travel van, but she always returned to Rugged Mountain where she had opened her bakery. Everyone there was like family helping each other out, but she sure thought Wyatt would have called her back. After, their last contact at the bakery, he seemed really interested in her, but it had been six months with nothing. Josie and her friend, Cami were heading to the mountain psychic for a reading to help calm Cami's nerves for an upcoming custody case. Josie agrees to go along for fun. When during the reading the psychic announces she sees babies and bottles in Josie's near future to which she said could not be right as she was not seeing anyone. Then Wyatt came in the back door calling for his grandma. Stranger things have happened, but when it was meant to happen it will happen. Join the fun for another great entertaining story from Rugged Mountain.

Wyatt and Josie had feelings for each other when they met 6 months earlier but Wyatt backed off leaving Josie hurt. Wyatt was worried he was so much older and felt she deserved better than him. When Raccoon’s infested her bakery again, Josie called Henry but it was Wyatt that came to help. He couldn’t stop thinking about Josie and needed to see if she felt the same way. Wyatt was kind, caring and protective, he loved Josie with his whole heart. Once he was open and honest with her and she was clear with him what she wanted their lives were amazing. They were true soulmates. Sweet, romantic, hot and steamy with amazing chemistry, a little danger, intrigue and mystery, this was an amazing 5 star read with a beautiful HEA.

Trigger warnings Psychic reading Stalker ex
She's been waiting 6 months for him to make his move and is ready to give up. Then, the psychic (his grandmother) says something that changes everything. Their time together gets interrupted by the bad guy from an earlier book. Can they protect an innocent 12 yr old from her bio-dad?
Each book in this series so far has had a bit of an abrupt end but also an epilogue dated 6 months after. Each one can be a standalone, but reading in order gives you a good idea of who will be next. Except for Reese and Wyatt ending up with different people, and this book waiting 8 years to give update.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we get Josie & Wyatt's story. Josie is just trying to make her bakery work. The problem is the racoons that have decided to invade the shop. She needs help and the person she wants most is also the one person she isn't sure she should want. Wyatt wan'ts Josie he just doesn't believe he is enough for her. When he finally gets his life together she says she has moved on. Will they find a HEA or will their timing always be off?
Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Josie is tired of the raccoon problem she has and hopes her landlord will finally fix the problem. Wyatt is sent to take care of the raccoons and he asks her out later. She tells him that its too late but he isn't going to give up. When she runs into him again later and he asks her out Josie lays out what she is wanting in her future. Will it scare him away? Or will he finally claim her as his own?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. It's a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Khloe Summers' Rugged Mountain Ink series continues with Spicy. I've been anxiously awaiting Wyatt and Josie's story for a while - teased in the previous books - and I was not disappointed. This steamy, age-gap checks all the boxes with a swoon-worthy, possessive hero and the sassy heroine who captures his heart. Wyatt and Josie have ridiculous chemistry together, and once they each get out of their own way, it explodes on the page. A fantastic read! (And now I'm anxiously awaiting Raven's story!).

Josie is trying to get her bakery going but she is having problems with "trash pandas" who keep getting into her bakery and making a mess. Wyatt ends up comin over to fix the problems of the racoons. Josie has been crushing on Wyatt but if he's not committed then she wants him to move on. But Wyatt is totally committed he just has to get the nerve up to go after what he wants. Wyatt and Josie finally connect and the steam is sizzling. Great short story.

Josie's bakery is having raccoon problems and the landlord sends over Wyatt to help her out. Wyatt and Josie have been crushing on each other but he thinks he's too old for her so he keeps his distance but now six months later he is determined to win her heart. This is an age gap, small town romance with well developed and likable characters, and a happily ever after. Spicy is book ten and a great addition to the Rugged Mountain Ink series. I look forward to reading more books by Khloe Summers in the future. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Josie's bakery has a problem with raccoons, she hopes the one that comes to help is not Wyatt. Her sister told her he has feelings for her, but that was six months ago, the man still has not made a move.
Wyatt has not been able to get Josie out of his thoughts and dreams. He has held back because he feels she make think he is too old for her. He has waited long enough, time to tell her how he feels.
I received an Advance Readers Copy of this book with no obligation to write a review.
Josie has a little problem with raccoons getting into her bakery at night, Wyatt helps set up security cameras to catch them. Sparks ignite between them but Wyatt keeps his distance, until he realises what he could lose but will Josie feel the same well written steamy short romance, age gap,and a great addition to the series that just keeps getting better.
The author has taken us back to Rugged Mountain to spend time with our friends and to pull us into the lives of Josie and Wyatt. They have crushed on each other since their first meeting; however, he is afraid that their age gap will send her running.

This was another well written steamy age gap romance and I have to say I've been waiting for this one ;) Josie and Wyatt have been circling around each other for months but they do finally find their way past the obstacles that mostly Wyatt was fretting about. However, their sizzling chemistry gets them on the right, and explosive ;P, path to love. Good fun!
Josie is the town baker and Wyatt the hot older recluse. Wyatt wants Josie but never made a move in six months which infuriates Josie. He finally pulled his head out of his butt, but Josie is hesitant to give him a chance. But sparks fly and their attraction is off the charts. Instalove, sweet, steamy, romantic , fun to read and with a sweet HEA at the end😍😍😍😍Can't wait for the next story 🥰🥰
Who knew that an animal would bring two individuals who've been circling each other for too long together?
I love how "helpful" Wyatt wanted to be but I also enjoyed Josie not giving in too easily. He had his chance and dropped the ball. Josie deserves a man who doesn't second guess himself. Glad Wyatt was able to get over it and be the man Josie needs.
This short read was really great and I absolutely love this series. These two characters took a little bit longer to get together, but when the time is right nothing will stop these two.. I can not wait until the next book in this series.
A quick read this story features two people who have been attracted to each other for awhile. What happens when they take a chance on that attraction? Lovely characters and a cute storyline.

At first jumped around a bit but mellowed out. Turned out to be very good book with a little some underhanded deadbeat dad and a loving "real" dad who will do anything to keep his little girl happy!
This was another fun book from the Rugged Mountain crew. Josie and Wyatt were another fantastic couple from these mountains. I enjoyed their story, it had everything you need. Great read.
Josie is a curvy, cute baker. Wyatt is attracted to the curvy baker. Until She's targeted and then the rugged mountain man all bets are off. A lovely love stort.

Just love this story it adds to the others so much. The next one should be wonderful what a fortune teller predicted 8 years ago will it be good or bad
I absolutely loved this entire series, honestly I finished all of these books in less then a week & I’m so excited to read the next series starting with Raven!!!!
This was an amazing read and end to this series with Wyatt and Josie. She has a bakery in town and it gets vandalized nightly. She enlists Wyatt to help her out before she loses the business.
