Obsessed Alphas #2

Stalked by the Tight End

Rate this book
I’ve only loved one thing in life, only had one goal: Football and playing pro.

I was ruthlessly focused. Living and breathing toward that one goal and only that goal. Until one look in her direction has me rethinking everything. Makes me forget why football was important.

I’m doing things I know in my gut are risking my future. Not only when it comes to football but with her. But the animal inside me has his heart set on her. She’s more intriguing and captivating than I’ve made up in my head. Whatever hope I had of the obsession winding down runs through my fingers like grains of sand.

Just the thought of Sara Martinez consumes me.

And now that I know the taste of her kiss and the softness of her skin, that deep animal hunger will never be sated. I’ve done things that would terrify her if she ever found out. But I can’t take them back. Only own up to them.

There’s no turning back. Whether she likes it or not, she’s mine. Forever.

Stalked by the Tight End is an OTT, college sports romance with an obsessed alpha who will stop at nothing to not only claim his girl but her heart. HEA Guaranteed.

Stalked by the Tight End is the second book in the Obsessed Alphas series by Mayra Statham. These men have no respect for personal boundaries and I love it.

Marshall ‘Marsh’ Green is a senior and is tight end for their division one football team. I’m guessing he is probably about twenty one years old. Football is Marsh’s life, it’s all he’s been focused on since he was probably seven years old. Now, with college graduation coming near, he’s hoping to be drafted into the NFL. It’s all he’s ever wanted. Marsh thought his best friend, James, was crazy when he went all stalkery when he fell for Mila. But then Marsh saw her. All it took was one glimpse in the park that day and he was a goner. He hasn’t spoken to her, yet. But he’s been watching her. He already knows she is his, he just hasn’t actually been introduced to her yet.

Sara Martinez is also a senior and is a business major. Her dream is to own her own bakery someday and is working part time in a local bakery to help pay for college. Her days are long, getting up early for work, then a full load of classes. She has noticed the beautiful football player that lives across the street. She has seen him from her window but they’ve never met. They definitely move in different circles. He’s a football player and can have anyone he wants. She’s well aware of the games athletes play, she’s experienced them herself. But that doesn’t stop her from dreaming of him.

Marsh was going to wait until football season was over before he introduced himself to Sara. But fate had other ideas and they were finally face to face. His self control couldn’t take any more and he couldn’t stay away any longer. But what if she knew the lengths he had gone to to watch her? She would run in the opposite direction as far from him as she could get.

It probably doesn’t say much for my own state of mind at how much I am enjoying these books! Marsh was so obsessed but it made me love him all the more. He was a man in love. He just wanted to be close to her. To keep her safe. Maybe not in the healthiest of ways! Now I can’t wait to read the next book, Stalked By The Wide Receiver, which is their other friend, Hemi’s book.

“Sara. Mine. Sara. Mine. Only mine.”

An OTT obsessed reformed manhoooar? Yup. I’m in

I was sooo excited to get to Marshall’s story as soon as I finished book 1… I didn’t think anyone could top James it terms of being OTT, but Marsh gives him a run for his money👀.

When it came to her, I had a feeling I’d burn the world down to keep her safe. Protected. Cherished. Loved.

Marshall has been watching Sara for a while now. He saw her running one day and fell in Insta Lust… then he moved to be near her… then he noticed she would leave her window open and he would casually sneak in to close it… and then he started spying/stalking her… and then he became obsessed 😅👀.

What if someone swooped in there before me and stole her from me? We’d end him, the animal in me threatened.

Sara’s not into boys right now. She was burned a couple of years by a soccer player who was a playa😑… and she doesn’t wanna date athletes since they’re “all” the same.

“I licked you, you’re mine.”

When Marsh befriends her, he makes it a point to change her mind and to take things slow… he doesn’t wanna scare her with how obsessed he is with her. Little does he know, she’s feeling the same as him 😉.

The steam 🔥. Oh Lordt. Marshall might be taking things slow, but he makes it a point to make sure she feels pleasure 🥵 in every way 😉. This man reminded me of the beauty that dry hump!ng can be... I mean... Jeeezus 🔥. He’s been a manhooooar in the past, and he wants her to know that she’s different to him.

Not only is he all about her 😉💦🔥, but he’s super protective as well. So he installs some cameras, it’s all for her own good 🤷🏻‍♀️. You do what you gotta do Marshall 💁🏻‍♀️.

I wish it was longer! Sigh. I wouldn’t have minded if he was MORE of a bulldozer too 👀. I also noticed some grammar/spelling things, but it didn’t take away from the story.

I really liked it ❤️

⚠️safety squad⚠️
-no cheating/sharing/owd/omd
-H was a previous manhoooar before seeing the h/h isn’t a virgin
-h mentions she was with an athlete who was seeing two other girls at the same time (so she was cheated on). It’s been a while for her
-praise kink/dirty talk
-no condoms

The first one was better. She was trying too hard to differentiate but didn’t write the story/characters to support her group of facts. The h supposedly has had “lots of lovers” but she acts like a blushing virgin who grew up in a nunnery. I found it annoying.

An OTT Obsessed Alpha Man.

Marshall has never really believed in love. Even after his best friend found it, he still had his doubts. That is until he saw Sara for the first time. He knew that love existed then.

Marshall was OTT and Sara loved it. Even managed to understand it, once she got over the shock of just how far Marshall had gone.

This was pretty good. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

GOSH, what's with these sweet as sugar Stalkers taking care of their girls, by doing cute cute creepy things. Lol too corny I know. But Mayra Statham has the power to turn a scary stalker into an adorable growly bear who loves to watch his girl at all times just to make sure she is doing okey. All the things Marsh did, I didn't like at first but eventually I came to grasp his feelings and his animalistic needs. And guess what I loved it, I craved how he continuously chanted Sara in his mind as MINE MINE MINE MINE like a mantra. It was crazy, and I love crazy. Just like Sara did. The things our obsessed heroes do for Their girls, no one can ever do that. They are straight up gone for them just by the first glance at their girls. UFFF! God!

💀 👀 🥵 Am I sick too for loving how gone, obsessed and crazy Marshall was for Sara. How he watched her, set cameras in her apartment so that he can see her 24*7 ????

God I think I'm, it's so fucking good to feel someone somewhere in there, who loves you, is obsessed with you in the level of insanity and would do anything to keep you safe, even if it makes him stalk you. I love it..

After all, I've always had a thing for my
Sweet Stalkers, and always will. 🤡 🎈

You would think this is a shifter romance by the number of times the MMC says “the animal inside” It is used 34 times! 😂...😭
Dnf 58% - not because I hated it, just because it's been a few days since I picked this up and my enjoyment of a book declines a lot when I take too much time to read it.

Book one was so good! This one was just okay.

This is called Stalked by the Tight End (Obsessed Alphas), and I see no lies.

“You’re mine. Only mine. Call me a spoiled prick, but when it comes to you, Sara, I’m a greedy motherfucker.”

I loved the Hispanic representation! I imagine Sara being so cute! I loved her big family and I wish we could’ve met them.

Marshall was the bees knees! He loved his woman and was super possessive.

This was a steamy little novella and I loved it!

Buenas noches.

“Stalked by the Tight End” is the story of Sara and Marshall.

Another stalkery hero and oblivious heroine, this time with camera, loads of sex and some drama.

It was ok, I skimmed this one.

Marshall and Sara are another great addition to the Obsessed Alphas series. This couple is short sweet and have finally have the chemistry. Sara is on a man break after dating a randy soccer player. Marsh is a football player that became smitten at first glance when he saw Sara running. He made it his mission to watch her, get to know her and then to finally change her mind about dating again!

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.

This is a Martinez sister book, Sara is a student who has caught the eye of the tight end of the school football team, Marshall aka Marsh. He has become an over the top stalker where she’s concerned, he secretly records her on his phone, sneaks into her apartment from an open window, and even goes as far as to install cameras in her apartment and hallway. He justifies it by thinking he’s doing it to protect her when he’s not around. They officially meet when Sara running late for class bumps into him and he saves her from falling. He walks her to class and even brings her breakfast after class cause she told him she was rushing to grab something to eat before class. When he walks her to her car he asks her out, having dated an athlete before she doesn’t want to again and turns him down. When he accepts her refusal she feels like she may lose her chance with him and invites him to go running with her. He accepts and they start their relationship. Of course he is still sneaking into her place and still spying on her with the cameras. His roommate Hemi tells him to get rid of the cameras if he is going to be dating her but of course our hero does not remove them. They enjoy sexy times with him pleasuring her and showing her its not just about sex but he wants to be her man like shes his woman. They eventually have sex and its hot. I love yous are said soon after too. Back at his apartment they are hanging out with some of the roommates when Mash’s phone slips and a video plays on the tv of Sara and him at her place. She demands to know what is going on. She wonders if she has been played or was she a bet. Rushing back to her place she tries to figure out how he got the recording. He tries to explain but Sara is pissed. Before he can explain she locks herself in her room and tells him to leave, he can’t leave her alone so he takes the camera and moves it to a new spot and leaves her. Back at his place he watches her cry and he cries too. After a couple of days Sara misses him and forgives him because she doesn't want to miss out on a life with him. She talks out loud calling his name and telling him she misses him. She just knows he can see and hear her, He comes over and they talk and he explains how he can’t be away from her and he needs eyes on her at all times. I love yous and epilogue a few months later with graduation and him proposing.
In real life this would definitely be a no go, the police would surely be involved but its hot in book world.
The mystery of who mom is dating is still not solved. Can’t wait till her book.

Marshall and Sara have a great story. This is book 2 in the series and I cannot wait for the next one. We get a little more background with this book and I believe this story was a little longer than book 1. I loved that we got a little more. I am also curious about Sara's sisters and mom, did I miss those or are we getting those stories later. Can't wait.

this is a novella so it was expected to be fast paced. but i didn't expect it to be that fast. idk how to feel about the mcs.

sara, she said she didn't want to date an athlete but then after one session of running with marsh all of a sudden they were now boyfriend/girlfriend, like literally after a few hours after that run. it was so ridiculous!

marsh obsession was kinda annoying for my own taste. there were some morally questionable things being done by obsessed mmcs that i still found funny, but marsh antics annoy the crap out of me or just gave me the hives.

1. the lines were cringey. maybe it's a me thing, but their ever changing pet names made me roll my eyes so hard.
2. their connection was meh, idk it felt so forced.
3. that they were in love only after a few weeks???
4. how readers have to be reminded how he was a hardcore player outside of football. gag!
5. the heroine was a pathetic horny mess, what's with her always begging? she looks so desperate. ugh!
6. what happened to condom? no talk about protection and potential std? am i missing something because that was dumb right???
7. i can barely tolerate the stalking (cuz it's fiction) but marsh insisting on knocking up sara? uhm, not so much.
8. they were both crazy so i guess they perfectly fit each other

i'm not proud of it but i skimmed from 65% of the book, i just don't care anymore about the other details. i just want to finish this atrocity, idk which is worse the first book or this one. can't believe i'd finished this. but because i'm optimistic or probably masochist (idk anymore) i'll still read the remaining 2 books in this series, maybe they'll be better than the first two.

Even though the animal inside Marshall was annoying and ridiculous, it started out as a sweet starker of romance. But it took a turn into wtf am I reading.
Both Marsh/Marshall and Sara's dirty talk in chapter 6 were super tacky and cringey. Marshall's "dominance" and constant "good girl" felt forced.
In chapter 2, I got the feeling Sara was a virgin. Because she said she had one serious boyfriend in high school, but he was gay. Then, in college, there was Colt, but it didn't go far before she realized it was a game. But in chapter 6, she said she's had lovers.

Protegida. Amada.’

Stalked by the Tight End de Mayra Statham Serie Obsessed Alphas libro 2

Argumento:

Solo he amado una cosa en la vida, solo he tenido un objetivo: el fútbol y jugar como profesional.
Estaba despiadadamente concentrado.

So beginnt etwas, was beide wollen

I skimmed most of this—I just couldn’t get into it. I don’t know, it just felt really inconsistent. Some parts were super dragged out, while others were rushed. The smut and the dating part of the novella, for example, went on forever—pages and pages, chapter after chapter. But then, when she finally figured everything out, she forgave him immediately—like, within 1–2 chapters that were some of the shortest in the entire thing.

And yeah, I get it—this is a stalker novella with heavy insta-lust and insta-love. But I know myself well enough to say I would’ve enjoyed it more if the smut wasn’t so drawn out and if there had been more groveling or something to balance it out. Because—and this might just be me—but when I read novellas like this, I already know there’s going to be some sort of third-act conflict. Of course she’s going to find out she’s been stalked all along, right? So I just don’t have the patience to read chapter after chapter of them having sex and going on dates. Like… it’s fine the first time, but after that? I don’t care anymore. I just want to get to the drama, honestly.

This one is between a 3 and 4 star for me. I didn't like it as much as Stalked by the Quarterback, but I did still like it more than I was expecting. I think the author's style just works for me.

Similarly to the first book, the MMC sees the FMC and immediately becomes obsessed. Marshall didn't feel as OTT to me compared to James in the first book. His stalking felt a bit more like anxiety (being worried about Sara). In some spots, it worked better for me, and in some, it worked less. In both books, the breeding stuff put me off a bit. I think because the characters are so young and still in college.

This was a nice read if you want something sweet and spicy and doesn't take long to get through. I do think another round of editing would be good because there were a few missed words in some sentences, but otherwise, I really liked it.
