Starting as a sophomore, when everyone's already found friends and formed cliques, double sucks.
But that's what happens when your dad is gone and your mom drags you halfway across the country to live with your aunt and her family. On the plus side, your cousin is your bestie. On the minus side, she's already graduated, which leaves you to navigate the perils of high school on your own. No biggie, right?
You take her advice, put on a brave face, and march in on your first day like you know what you're doing.
But then you see him.
Your mistake from over the summer. Your one-time-only, surely-you-didn't-do-that-in-real-life, beach-party-hookup daydream in the flesh.
He's not supposed to be here. Your cousin told you that party was for college students. Not for high school boys with whispered secrets under the stars and kisses like devastation.
You never thought you'd have to see him again. That's why you told him all your secrets that night. And now he's walking around school like a ticking time bomb. Because he knows your secrets. Secrets that could destroy you.
So you better make some friends so you have someone on your side when he decides to spill them.
You might not guess it when you pick up your first Selena novel, but Selena is a true romantic. She writes gritty, realistic New Adult contemporary novels with characters you'll love to hate and hate to love.
If reading about teens behaving badly upsets you, steer clear because these are full of drama, angst, fighting, drugs, sex, and rock & roll. There will be times you want to throw your Kindle. There will be lying, cheating, bullying, backstabbing, violence, and hard-earned, sweet redemption for those who won't give up on love. Because life's not always picture perfect, but every heart, no matter how broken and damaged, deserves love.
This is the first novella of an all new story set at Faulkner High School. Sky Eden is the new girl (fish out of water) from Connecticut in the small southern town of Faulkner. She's nervous starting at a new high school and whose eye should she catch? Mr. King of the School, Chase London, star quarterback. Chase London and Lindsey Darling are Faulkner royalty. And we all know about the Darlings in this town. Sky can't seem to navigate the popular crowd with Chase's on and off flirting, mean girl cheerleaders and required football games. It's a lovely start to a story about coming of age, first time crush and figuring out how to deal with frenemies that you can't really trust. Definitely kept me entertained and ready for more!
“Chase London, football god, hometown hero, screamer into the abyss. The boy with a wet dream face, a rock star body, and a kiss like devastation.”
Sky Eden is the new girl in school. The Summer prior, she hooked up with a boy, never knowing exactly who he was.. or they he has a girlfriend.. and now she’s attending his school…
What makes it worse is Sky unknowingly befriends his girlfriend. And now we have secrets. Secrets that could ruin friendships before they even started.
This is a really light and fluffy book for author Selena. To be completely honest, and now I’m laughing at myself, I actually had to look and make sure this was the same author that I read her backlist of which is much darker. It does leave off unfinished.
These are “episodes” like we are reading a script from a show. - I am very eager and excited to read episode two which is called Homecoming.
I really enjoyed this short novella from Selena. This is about Sky and Chase. Sky has had to move with her mum and sister to go and live with her aunt and uncle in Faulkner. Starting a new school is hard and she just wants to be invisible so she can keep her head down and work hard.
Chase is the king of the school. He's the guy that all the girls swoon over and all the guys want to be. He is paired with Sky to do a research project but he keeps blowing hot and cold toward her and she can't work out why.
I was actually surprised with Sky's character as she is the complete opposite to any other FMC in the other series in the Faulkner world. I'm looking forward to reading the next installment so I can see what happens as this ends on a cliffhanger! Bring on the next one!

This was a page turner story about Chase and Sky. Their lives begin to revolve around each other in high school when they're assigned to be partners. Sky can't understand why Chase blows hot and cold and insists she joins his group of friends. Ends on a cliffhanger, can't wait for the rest!!!

Sky Eden, new girl from Connecticut. Chase London, football player, King of Faulkner High.
Sky is the new girl at school... the summer prior, she met & hooked up with a boy. Little did she know that she was moving to his town and would be enrolling into his school. Chase is a star quarterback, the King of the school and has a girlfriend! Oops! In a typical Selena story... everyone has secrets... and some that could destroy relationships.
Chasing Chase London is a first episode, novella format in a series of several (I hope), featuring Sky Eden, new girl coming from Connecticut to the Southern town of Faulkner and Chase London, football player, King of Faulkner High.
This starts as a teen tale of dislocation, new location, an 'adventurous' Summer, secrets whispered in the dark, an incandescent tryst, no names exchanged, an unexpected reconnection and circumstances. It's about new beginnings, young infatuation, forbudden/taken fruit, doubts, insecurities and that lingering feeling of reciprocation.
I really enjoyed the interlude, it has character and make us go back to our adolescence, to our fears and excitement, will and effort to conquer. Anxiously awaiting for the next installment!.
This is the first in a new series by Selena - Chasing London. A novella which is short, fast paced, captivating and everything you've come to expect from Selena. Drama and angst in this high school romance where Chase London and Lindsey Darling are Faulkner High royalty and Sky Eden is the new girl in town trying to navigate her way. But there are already secrets...secrets that could destroy relationships. Short but will enthrall you to these characters and have you begging for more!

I enjoyed this read. It was interesting and an enticing start to the series. This is definitely just a small part of the story though but we get to start seeing the characters and watch their interactions. This story was okay, not great but still entertaining and it definitely has me interested in the next episode to see where things go and thinking that the next one will be more gripping. There was a lot of potential with this one for the story to take off and really hold my attention in the next episodes. I'm excited for the next one. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Such a fast read and very quick to pull interest! The characters are very likable and have some secrets that you find yourself needing to be revealed! What is going on with Chase? What is the full back story of Sky and her dad? How much does Lindsey really know or not know? Can't wait for the next episode to hopefully get more answers!
Really good storyline but it’s not typical Selena. It’s not the dark bullying teen angst we are used to. This first episode (not a book more like novella) is setting up the scene of Sky and Chase’s backgrounds and how they met and how they reconnected. We originally met Chase and Lindsay Darling in prior books. The episode ends on a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting to know more.
This is a short novella that will leave you wanting more! This is a tame story compared to Selena's other work but is no less addicting. This story takes place in Faulkner so it's pretty awesome to see how the other half lives. I will read anything and everything that Selena writes. I can not wait for more!
This was a quick page turner! While this isn't typically what Selena writes about (much lighter) you definitely still get her amazing writing style! I loved this short and I recommend you keep in mind it isn't dark or have the heavy bullying her other books have. It stands in its own right! I can't wait for more!
This is a fantastic read that is fast paced and pulls you in from the very beginning to the very ending. This is the first of this series and does end in a cliffhanger. Can’t wait to read the new book.
I’ve been dying to get to know more about Chase London since we met him in the bully me series. The novella was a nice little pick me up. It’s considered YA since the MC is under 18. It wasn’t as dark as Selenas others but all the angst is still there. 🖤💋
A fast paced novella for a new series by Selena! It gripped me throughout, with some great characters which really left me wanting more, cant wait for the next installment.

This a serial series book. This is start of Sky Sophomore year of high school at Faulkner High. Where she meets Chase who he meet at a party. I can't wait to see where this book goes.

This story is so much tamer than what I'm use to from Selena. What also makes it different is that it's vella episodes. Chase has me intrigued. He seems like a super sweet guy and good friend. I'm intrigued to see how things go between his gf and his friendship with Sky.
