Benedictio Noctis is a 28,000-word medieval dark-fantasy novella from the author of Remember Tomorrow and the Extensis Vitae and Nexus of the Planes trilogies.
This had all the makings of a “classic” vampire story for me and I loved being able to root for the vampire! Since it’s short, the plot moved quickly and hooked me in immediately. I also loved how to language and writing felt appropriate for the time period but not so complicated and flowery that it wouldn’t be enjoyable to modern readers. I’ll definitely be checking out more by this author!
Lighting fast and over too quickly, this novella twists 2 story lines together with skill and imagination. Clever and with just the right amount of background material to make the connections happen. If you enjoy his other books, this one will not disappoint.
It's a wonderful read with a good storyline. I like the way it made me think about good and evil. I definitely recommend and want to read more from this author.
