Blood Magic is an addictive four-book series that melds urban fantasy with paranormal romance!

L.H. Cosway lives in Ireland. Her inspiration to write comes from music. Her favourite things in life include writing stories, food, musical comedy, and of course, books. She thinks that imperfect people are the most interesting kind. They tell the best stories.
I loved Nightfall so much! I first read this years ago and I loved it then, but I love it more now! Tegan is living life after a tragic loss. Her heart is broke, but she is getting by. She meets Ethan at her job and the two keep running in to each other and not always by chance. Ethan is a vampire and they soon learn there is something different about Tegan. These two try to figure out each other while trying to answer the mysteries of Tegan and facing an unexpected enemy. I loved the characters so much! I was so immersed in their story that the end came before I was ready! This story is a part of a series so you will have to wait before we get an HEA, but it is worth it. Great writing and amazing characters! Can't wait for the next one! Book two, Moonglow, starts months after Nightfall and Tegan is again going through the motions. An old acquaintance seeks her out to ask for help. She reluctantly agrees and prepares for her return. Things are much different in Tribane and not for the better. Her reunion with Ethan is so sweet and sad at the same time. I love Ethan so much! You can tell how much he cares for Tegan and my heart hurt for what she felt she had to do. They continue to learn new information while unraveling new mysteries, making new allies, and fighting for the right thing. As with book one The writing is amazing and the characters are awesome! Ready for book three! Witching Hour is an amazing follow up to Nightfall! Things are strained between Ethan and Tegan and things are changing in Tribane. There are so many things at play that no one knows what will happen next. Feelings are hurt and conflicted, people grow closer and farther apart. There are many monumental moments in this book that have the ability to change the way the war will play out. My heart broke for Rita and so many of the other characters. I loved how the heat is turned up in this book. The ending is so good! It was one of my favorite parts! You will not be disappointed! As always, awesome writing, amazing and complex characters, and an incredibly interesting plot that has many moving parts. Sunlight starts off right after that doozy of an ending in Witching Hour. Things have taken a drastic turn. What happens now? Every one is so unsure if previous alliances still stand, who is going to do what and how. There are new players in the game. Some are sketchy and some are encouraging. I got so engrossed in reading this! I loved watching Tegan and Ethan's relationship evolve. It was sweet and hot! I loved how many twists and turns there were. Never a dull moment! We also get inside Finn's head a bit, and it was an interesting place to be. As always the writing is awesome with vivid descriptions that put me right in the middle of it. The plot was interesting and original. I really didn't want to leave this world! Thank you LH Cosway for the escape you provided in this series! I was given the opportunity to read a copy of this book.
So, I'm not so much into paranormal romance as I once was, but when I saw this series from L.H. Cosway, I dipped my toe back in. L.H. Cosway normally has really interesting characters, and while I can't say these were *as* interesting as I associate with her, they were paranormal, which makes them interesting just because.
If you're looking for sexy times, I wouldn't say this is what you're looking for. It was a VERY slow burn, and once they did finally get together, I wouldn't call it the most explicit sexy times.
Still, it was a very interesting premise: girl who doesn't know she's special (but smells really good?) happens to meet vampires who try to compel her to forget them, and when she doesn't, she becomes that much more interesting to them. And then she discovers there are witches and dhampirs and a whole "paranormal hierarchy" in the city she's called home since she was born. She does a remarkable job of not freaking out over this information. She even befriends the guy who wants to kill the vampire she's so enamored with.
And when she finds out why she's special, she decides she needs to leave town. Probably a good idea. Apparently, things deteriorate to such a point that one of her friends tracks her down to come home for a special assignment. It involves a little girl, so she can't say no. And coming home means facing her vampire again, and none of what drew them together has changed.
And then things really hit the fan. I don't want to spoil anything, but the introduction of new magical species at various points was kinda cool. And the battle between good and evil tends to give us hope that good will always succeed. (I don't think that's a spoiler -- what kind of author would leave us with a crappy hell-hole of a world?)
Anyway, this was an entertaining series and kept me interested, which is more than I can say about many books I've read over the past couple of years.
I binge-read this fantastic, epic series in four days during my summer holidays.
When Tegan Stolle meets Ethan Cristescu, she discovers a whole other world existing alongside the human race. A world that she irrevocably gets drawn into as she becomes a key player in a political battle between two main factions, where alliances are made and remade when the biggest threat of all appears amongst them. As well as Tegan and Ethan, we also meet a whole bunch of their friends and allies as the plot twists and turns, while the would-be lovers push and pull against one another. Tegan knows that a relationship with Ethan would not be advisable, whilst he is determined to make her his. Their slow-burn romance was thrilling, and super hot once they move forward into a full blown relationship. The first three books are told from Tegan's POV and the final book is told in dual POV between Tegan and her friend, Finn.
I was completely absorbed in the storyline and the how the author wove all the characters into it. I loved all the characters and how I quickly picked up their quirks and individuality. The stories had humour, sadness, danger, hot desire, and love that would endure through thick and thin.
4 books in total in this series by LH Cosway. A series full of vampires, witches, warlocks and slayers, along with a whole host of other supernatural beings added to the mix throughout. A story of good versus evil, the only problem is, Tegan has no clue who she can trust. Lots of action, suspense, and even fun times. LH Cosway sure know how to spin a tale. Can there be peace in Tribane? Tegan is going to fight for what she believes in, she just needs to get her band of ‘merry men’ on board with her plans, to believe in her and to trust that she knows what she’s doing. Wonderful characters - good, bad, and downright evil, all battling for supremacy in a city without boundaries. Lots of plot twists and turns, all make for an enthralling and addictive supernatural romance that I did not want to end. I loved it.
I’m starting to suspect LH Cosway has a pocket dimension of unique characters that make any genre series of her choosing addicting. I love this paranormal romance series for giving me a new experience in a beloved genre. Recommend for fans of Jeannine Frost and Ilona Andrews.
