I enjoyed this grumpy/sunshine, curvy girl romance! It was super cute. There were a few steamy moments and lots of sweet moments between the two main characters, Raelynn and River. The cover is gorgeous. I liked it. Four stars!.

River is the fourth book in the Home Wreckers Construction series. This story was a delightfully humorous read with some spicy heat to top it off. The story is about construction worker River Wilde who is "the strong, silent type. The man I wish would notice me." Raelynn works for Play Time Productions with a job that is to coordinate and keep everyone happy. She is overworked, stressed, and heated for River. She is also up for a promotion and trying to avoid one creepy boss. Add in a new owner and things are about to get sticky at Play Time. Lucky for her River knows just how to stick to "Little Miss Sunshine who perks up more than his mood."
I really loved this story about Raelynn and River. They make a sweet couple but have a few things to get around before they get their HEA. I don't know if this is the last book in the Home Wreckers Construction series but if it is then I will be sad to see it end.....as I think the big, strong, possessive, and sexy men of Home Wreckers Construction have a lot more stories and love to find.

The last book in the Home Wreckers Construction series was a wonderful read to wrap up the series with. River and Raelynn were a wonderful match. They have been working together for months at the production company getting a set ready for an upcoming tv reality show. Raelynn works for the production company and River works for the construction crew contracted to build the set. Both have been keeping their distance from one another but the attraction is getting harder to ignore for both of them. Raelynn has been having to deal with a coworker who has been harassing her. River is witness to this and his protective side comes out in full force. After the incident the two finally give in to the feelings they have for one another. This was a quick and sexy read with a great HEA.

Raelynn likes River but doesn't think he likes her. One day she was rushing to work because she was behind and messes up some work he was doing on set. Then she gets burnt when the coffee she is carrying starts falling. She feels bad so she offers to help him out. Once they start working together sparks start flying between them. Its not long before River is giving into temptation with Raelynn. Will this be more than a one-time thing between them?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. It's a book for any book lover to enjoy.

I think that the trope “grumpy sunshine” is my new favorite, especially if they are like River and Raelynn. These two bring a beautiful balance to each other, at least they do after Raelynn finally breaks down his walls. He likes her but doesn’t think she’d be interested in him. Luckily a ruined floor helps give these two more time together. Their first steamy scene is all kinds of 🌶🌶🌶 and in the last place you would expect. I also really liked when River finally spoke from the heart. For a closed off and grumpy guy he really knows how to bring on the swoon! Definitely read this short and steamy romance today!

Sooooo cute!!!

There's something soooo amazing about an instalove book. I can't get enough of them. This has been a tough painful week for me dealing with an MS flare up. And reading about Raelynn and River's instalove story was just what I needed to make me smile. River tried hard to keep his eyes on the job at hand. But seeing Raelynn everyday was very difficult. Reading about their flirtation leading to....well, no spoilers. Let's just say you'll never look acrylic sealant the same way again. And kudos to construction workers everywhere! That is one stressful and demanding job!! And has some of the SEXIEST dang men! Whew! Where's my hand fan? But seriously this book was so great. I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed at all.

River, the male lead, has been watching Raelynn, the female lead, the entire time he’s been doing construction in her workplace. He’s deeply attracted but thinks he won’t be suitable for her. Raelynn likes him too and, when she makes a mistake, she offers to work with him out of hours to fix it…

This short story is dual POV, well written, and a steamy sweet romance. I enjoyed both lead characters and the way they came together, as well as the mentions of previous characters and the teaser for future stories.

Piper writes short but steamy books and this one did not disappoint. Raelynn has feelings for River, one of the construction workers on set. A chance encounter happens whilst trying to avoid her sleazy colleague that brings her closer to River. River wants Raelynn but doesn’t think he’s good enough for her. When he helps her after a fall he can see the heat in her eyes and realises she wants him back. Raelynn offers her help bringing them closer together. A perfect match is formed and they get their HEA with lots of heat. I loved this book. I was rooting for both characters. A must read in the series.

Shy but persuaded!!! This is about Raelynn and River. Raelynn has a huge crush on River but he thinks she is out of his league so he doesn’t attempt anything but when she is rushing through one of the set she messes up his work and now he has the task to redo what she messed up. She volunteers to help him and there is where everything takes off. She finally makes her move thinking he is just shy, but realizes that she is hitting on him like the sleaze of her boss has done to many of them. Great story!.

River is Book 6 of the Home Wreckers Construction series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, grumpy-sunshine, curvy girl gets her blue-collar hunk romance. Raelynn is the sweet and curvy hospitality director for Play Time Productions. River is a hunky, grumpy construction worker who is part of the crew assigned at the studio. He and Raelynn have been crushing on each other since the start, but River is worried she's too good and bright for him. But when they end up working together, Raelynn isn't taking no for an answer, and things get hot and steamy. I loved this couple. Their chemistry was pure fire, and the ending was so happy. I loved it.

I loved Book 4 of Home Wreckers Construction. This time we have grumpy River and ray of sunshine Raelynn. She has been trying to get his attention for months but maybe he just isn’t into her. When Raelynn causes some destruction to a set and declared she was going to help River wasn’t sure but it was just what was needed to bring them together. A quick and easy read. A great storyline and lovable characters. I would definitely recommend this book and the whole series. I hope there are more to come.

I just love everything about the HomeWrecker's crew and the women in their lives. I love how each story focuses on one of the main characters but how they are always together in the end as a found family. Watching River and Raelynn give into their feelings towards one another and getting Raelynn to get River out of his grumpy state was such fun. My only complaint is that I wish these stories were longer as I don't want them to end as I love watching this whole group interact together and fall in love.

What a fun and steamy story! Raelynn definitely is the sunshine of Play Time Productions. She doesn’t just bring coffee and smiles, she tries to find solutions and help wherever she’s needed. River seems to be the only one immune to her smile. When she works with him to finish up the project she finds out just how grumpy he can be. I loved getting to see all the layers of River. This is another great story from Piper Cook you don’t want to miss!

very annoyed

I usually LOVE a Piper Cook short story but man is this one filled with plot holes. What the heck happened with Tyson? If the construction crew and at least two women came forward about his behavior how would he still be employed? What happened at the 10am meeting the next day? How is she “skipping her job to help someone else do theirs” if she “can’t skip her own job to help someone else so she helps River in the evenings?” I feel like Piper decided to skip an editor or something this time. I’m very disappointed in the quality of this book.

River is grumpy, methodical, and direct. Excellent at his job with a great friend group, he is only missing his other half. And when he sees Raelynn, he is done for. She is chipper, friendly, and a fixer, always willing to step up but won’t take BS from anyone. I adore how she handles her office space, refusing to be bullied by her sleazy coworker. River and Raelynn have an intense spark and a gorgeous connection. Their spicy moments are so delish, and their story is such a fun one. And the cover of this book is perfection!

This collection of stories has been so exciting and wonderful to watch unfold. This book is certainly no exception. River and Raelynn are opposites in many ways but they still want the same thing - each other.
I enjoyed their interaction and steamy scene. Piper Cook sure does know her way around a book! I would definitely recommend this book!.

The MMC may be slow to catch up but when he does, he goes all in. He's actually sweet and this is a sweet story.

It's been a sweet ride reading the stories of our Home Wreckers Construction. Though this may be the last in the series, this is not the last we can "read" them. Looking forward to the next series of stories.

This is my favorite of this series. I liked how River was with Raelynn, how careful he was. And I really liked how Raelynn stepped up to help fix the mistake that she made. The only thing I didn't like was the sleazy behavior of the coworker. That's been going on too long and needs to end.

River is book four and the final book in the Home Wreckers Construction series. The writing is well done, the characters are fun, and the happily ever after is perfect.
