Deadly Goodbye by Jenna St. James is book 13 in the Witch in the Woods series.
This is such a fantastic book. I LOVE this series. The characters are so wonderful.
Shayla and Alex are investigating the murder of a townsperson was getting ready to move out of town.
There is no shortage of suspects, and this kept me guessing until the very end.
I absolutely LOVE Needles; he is a scene stealer and is one of the best non-human characters I have ever read.
I love the family, relationships and romance that are present in this book. Life is worth celebrating, and this book has not only a fantastic mystery but also great personal elements.
Highly recommend!

Good
Another quick and enjoyable read in the Shayla Loci world…
When Shayla and her cousin attend a going away party for a local woman leaving the island, they never expected to find her dead a short time later.
With a troublesome ex-boyfriend, a pesky customer, and a cousin with motive, it’s up to Shayla and her fiancé Sheriff Alex to find the murderer.
We get treated to quite a bit of Needles action in this one, but despite the blurb, we don’t see much of Zoie past her Prom actions. Not to worry though, this is an enjoyable and quick murder mystery, perfect for those who are limited as far as time is concerned.
A good book for paranormal mystery lovers.

Another great installment in this magical series. I love all the characters and it’s so much fun watching them grow and develop and watching all the relationships develop. I always get a kick out of Needles and it’s even better now that a few other folks can hear him. Good mystery. Several volatile suspects. Shayla and Alex make such a great crime solving team. Looking forward to our next trip to this enchanted island.

well, Shayla is stepping into the world of multitasking very well. Being mom, investigator, friend,with an upcoming wedding. She manages all that occurs with grace and the support of her guardian needles, who actually manages to come to the rescue, saving the day. But, Loci King has a new task ready for her... no rest for the weary.

Good read
Book 13 has humor, mystery, magic, murder, and mayhem. There are witches, gargoyles, trolls, vampires, werewolves, and all manner of paranormal and magical creatures. And don't forget Needles, the flying porcupine. It holds your attention and is a fast read. Highly recommend.

Great series!
This series is so good! I really enjoy reading each and every book and this latest one is no exception! It was fantastic to revisit the world of Sharks and friends. I love the mystery with tons of friendship, drama, and a bit of romance thrown in. I can't wait for the next book!

Another exciting adventure!
I always enjoy these books and the new escapades that transpire. This book was a little sad and not as humorous as some of the previous books, but still interesting and entertaining. I am excited to see what happens next. There will be another new supernatural on the island.

I loved this book. This book is fun and interesting. The characters are wonderful and I love how their relationships and lives develop throughout the series. This is a fantastic paranormal cozy mystery series. One of my favourites. This book is wonderful. The plot is interesting and the mystery is full of surprises and twists to keep you guessing. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

What a shame...
Spoiler ALERT don't read if you don't want to know who dunit. A Mother should not be so heartless!!!
Okay to READ again. Once again easy flow from one book to another. With the ending leaving you excited to read the next book. I'm glad a sad possible ending was turned into as positive as you could get with what happened in the story.

This is such a good series and I love this book. The characters are well written and you just get caught up in the story. I actually wish I could be there with them and have some of those powers and be involved in the things that they do. The next book sounds really interesting too!!

Another hit!
A going away party turns deadly and Shayla and Alex have to sort through the clues to find the killer. They have plenty of suspects and motives to keep them busy. Loved it and I can't wait for more.

A quick fun read
These books are more like short stories but are always fun and a fast read. Its always interesting on Enchanted Island with all its inhabitants even if the murders always seem to pile up.

Shayla, Alex and Needles have a new murder to solve as a witch is murdered after her going away party. A few deft twists, several red herrings and a chance to visit with all of the characters on Enchanted Island made this a delight to read from beginning to end. I do love visiting Enchanted Island.

I really enjoy this series. In this one, two cousins are preparing to say goodbye to each other since the magical one is leaving to join her boyfriend. The cousin left behind has staged a huge farewell party that in the end didn't go well for one of the cousins.

I really enjoyed this book. I love Jenna's humour, it breaks up some of the of the more serious parts. I love Needles! He's so fun! You never know what he will say next.. Great book. If you haven't read any of Jenna's book start now!

This continues to be a quick, fun series. Easy read with usually a surprise "bad guy".
This one revolves around a friend of Serena's that is planning to leave the island and move to her boyfriend's home. A few suspects keep the action rolling.

When a fellow witch plans to leave the island and pursue her heart, the group must solve the mystery after she is murdered. Also, Zoie is happy but worried about her boyfriend leaving also when he graduates. Plenty happening in this cozy mystery.

I really enjoyed this series. Deadly goodbye was all happy sad. There were many good qualities to the Riding. It was interesting quick to read an enjoyable.
