I loved this so much I wished it was a lot longer.

I love mysteries, and the setting in the world and puzzles the MC had to solve was set up well. In every world he had to play the role of a different character; thankfully the story always provided enough insight into the MC's thought process that his actions didn't come across as abrupt. Eg., "this is a character who likely had these experiences before, so they would likely do this in this situation"... so you're never left wondering, "yes MC is playing the role of xyz, but why would he do that?"

The romance was OK - it took a backseat to the overall plot, but I have no complaint whatsoever. The ML might had taken an interest in MC almost like love at first sight, but I'm willing to accept that since their relationship afterwards developed somewhat normally (given MC's lack of 'emotion'). I also liked that the ML was not all powerful; you get stories where the ML always swoops in at the last minute to be a knight in shining armour... that didn't happen here. If anything, MC's too OP by himself that really there's nothing for the ML to do. I also liked how the ML didn't always manage to recognise MC in the instances they were in together... but again, that might be attributed to the MC being too OP. But I liked how the ML tried his best to better himself so that MC would accept him, instead of suppressing MC (like what most danmei scum gong would do...)

I liked how each the side characters had their own roles - the POV was not always MC, depending on the arc, the POV would shift to other characters, which made it feel like, yes, these were characters with their own roles, their own lives and motivations which didn't align with MC. They didn't just exist to extol and fawn over the MC, which made the world feel "lived in".

I also liked how the story didn't follow the common cliches. There were characters that felt like they were being set up for a big showdown against MC - nope, pleasantly betrayed my expectations, didn't happen.

MC was OP, but even then it didn't feel like a cheat - he still could only use his skills/powers within the rules of the games, so he couldn't just annihilate everything. Not that he'd want to, given his motivation to act.

I enjoyed this story so much that it's going to be hard to enjoy anything else I read after this...

Once again, reading on mtl, I honestly don't know why I torture myself like this🤦‍♀️

I still gave this 4 stars despite mtl, so I guess it's pretty good?🤔 Just imagine if I was reading this on human translation.

The MC was pretty OP right from the start. The MC and ML didn't get much character development.

I liked how most of the time, the ML didn't figure out who the MC was disguised as, because his acting skills were too good, but, I also don't like how the MC always knew who the ML was- cuz he could 'smell his soul'.

The romance was a bit... Iffy. It was pretty much love sight for the ML(?) and, even if it wasn't, he definitely developed an interest for the MC at that stage. The MC, at some point, unknowingly fell in love with the ML(?) it was all good, but then, the author suddenly just rushed the 'confession'!? Like, whyyyyyyy it was a good slow burn, I know you have to end the novel soon, but, if you were going to do that could you please make it more balanced? Make the MC and ML realise their love sooner, or something like that, don't just rush it! :<

All in all, it was a pretty good read.

開大金手指，完得倉猝，人物描寫淺薄，不過劇情睇得還算爽，遊戲寫得好睇。不過有少少大中華，同埋對「國家」嘅強大真係會睇到少wtf，不過真係好少唔會太影響閲讀。

感情線還ok，係萌嘅。
