Rate this book
“Every piece of you deserves to be at peace with you.” And All The Right Pieces encourages us to own, accept, and honor our personal story and our personal process, so we can make room for our personal growth. Nakeia’s concise, poetic style makes All The Right Pieces a good read for anyone on a journey to heal, grow, and be made whole.

This new collection of short prose, poetry, and soul-stirring reminders, from Nakeia Homer, is a commemoration of all of life, the good and the bad, coming together for our highest good.

Sometimes we think what we want is too big, that what we want is not for us, but for them.

Sometimes we feel like we’re asking for too much, or that we don’t deserve what we want the most.

Sometimes we allow ourselves to doubt the existence of what is good and right and specifically designed for us because we feel we are too late or that circumstances have disqualified us.

Not so.

What you want exists.

What you want is waiting for you.

What you want has always been yours...

You just gotta heal, grow, and keep going until you get it.

Saying things that make others uncomfortable is uncomfortable.

But betraying yourself by lying about who you are, what you want, and how you feel can be unbearable.

"You will never have to convince a woman who loves herself to care for herself, to protect her heart, to nurture her gifts, to cultivate her purpose, or not to settle"
" It is possible for someone’s best to still not be what’s best for you. They aren’t necessarily bad for not being able to meet your needs, and you are not bad for needing more. No one should force connections they don’t have the capacity to maintain or settle for. You set everyone free when you do what’s best for you."

I love these books when it makes you stop and think about how you could better yourself but also reminding you that take care of yourself first doesn't make you a bad person

I appreciate how the author reminds you that you can only controls the things you do that the things other people do and how to work with healing yourself

I recommend this book to everyone

Everyone is complaining about current poetry books, wait until you read All the Right Pieces by Nakeia Homer. Basic sentences—didn’t even surpass the level of quotes and poetry, and many pages only have one or two sentences.

This book is pissing me off.
