Storms in our life take many forms and offer a variety of intensity. Some we can withstand with minimal fear or discomfort. Others, divorce, death, loss of job, uncertainty about the world around us, they can cause "analysis paralysis". Pastor Andy Clapp's book, "In the Eye of the Storm: Withstanding the Fury of Life's Storms" uses sound biblical guidance to help us recognize the storms brewing in our lives and how we can rely upon God's promises to withstand the storm. It is in the shelter of God's presence in our lives that we find protection needed to persevere through the storms this life is promised to bring each of us. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is experiencing a stormy season in their life.

In the Eye of the Storm is the perfect book to gift someone struggling with life’s storms. Whether one is coming out of a storm or in the middle of one, this 40-day devotional provides perspective and comfort. The author points the reader to the One who holds us through the storms (both figurative and literal). He has covered every storm imaginable and included thought-provoking storm preparation questions at the end of each devotion (as well as gorgeous photos). I’m gifting my copy to a friend today!

This devotional was eye-opening and so well done--very professionally done and well-researched. For someone who lives near the coast in South Carolina and visits the Outer Banks regularly, this was especially engaging and hits home.

Thank you to the author.
