I’m a businessman. Level-headed. Always keeping my eye on the bottom line and nothing else. I’m not a creature of want, never have been. So why has all that suddenly changed the moment Julieta appeared in my life? I can’t seem to think straight, can’t stay focused on anything except obsessing over her. I don't know if I'm losing my mind? Maybe so. But I do know that once I’ve had a taste of my Julieta, I won’t be able to let her go. Even if that means playing dirty for the first time in my life in order to keep her.
Growing up in the foster system, allies are few and far between. But I always had my best friend Raegan who could find the brighter side for us in the roughest of times. When Raegan calls for me to come home with fear in her voice I know her twin brother has likely brought trouble to their front door. I drop everything and rush to her side even if it means losing all I'd been working towards. She would do the same for me without question. What I didn’t expect was trouble to be a man with an iron grip and a smile that he only gives to me. It doesn’t take me long to realize I may be in deeper trouble than them all.
"Only Forever" is the story of Julieta and Vincent.
Another insta love tale with a marriage of convenience which turns into much more as the hero is totally obsessed with the heroine. There is also setup for a secondary romance between her best friend and boss.
DNF @ 47% - just too insta - she becomes “his everything” after he sees her picture. They’ve never met, or spoken. He’s never been in the same room as her. When they have sex the first time I was skeeved out. Not sexy. They don’t know each other at all… and while I know he’s obsessed… she has no reason to be ok with him touching her. It’s just weird as hell.
Not for me. 🙃

This is one of my absolute fave authors and I was so excited to see she’s come out with a new book! It was sweet, steamy and swoony! I loved how obsessively the hero loved the heroine—he was driven, ambitious and a workaholic but when he sees her, she becomes his entire focus.
And the heroine was adorable. I loved her yearning for family and belonging and her loyalty to her foster siblings. This was a perfect read to end a stressful day on. A total pick me up with happy swoony sighs. I can’t wait to read Raegan and Ivan’s story!!!
Safe. Hero’s past isn’t mentioned except to say he’s been celibate for years. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to the hero. There’s some minor OW drama, but hero was never interested in her, and shut it down immediately, defending his bride with ferocity. No om. No others, no cheating, no abuse of any kind. HEA with epilogue and kids years out
Julieta and Vincent. When he saw her picture, he knew she was the one. It was a pretty sweet reading!!
I tap the photos icon next to see what Travis took pictures of. I scroll through them but freeze when a picture of a beautiful dark-haired girl with green eyes fills the screen. She’s smiling for the picture. Her arm is wrapped around another girl. Travis’s sister. I stare, captivated by her.
She has to be the most beautiful creature I’ve ever seen. A strange sensation starts to fill my chest. I ignore it. I want her. The thought is foreign to me. Not wanting something but wanting a woman. That’s something that’s never happened to me before.
The flaw was other woman’s drama. Hero really had nothing to do with that woman, but that woman said something really bad and easily lead to h’s misunderstanding. And I also felt with h throughout the reading.
I am happy to read how harsh Vincent was to that woman (his previous assistant). He really hated her after he knew she let Julieta unhappy and harshly turned her down and fired her.
“I’m utterly obsessed with you, Jules. It scares the hell out of me, but losing you scares me more. Call me crazy. I likely am at this point, but I’m madly in love with you. And if you think I’ll let you divorce me, you're as crazy as I am.” His eyes never leave mine. I can see not only the determination in them but something else. Something I’m not ready to admit to myself could be true.
My heart pounds harder. Tears slip down my cheeks. “Vincent, please. I know—”
“You are strong, but you’re soft too. That is, once you let someone past that hard shell. I see you, Julieta. I see all of you, and I want it all.” Another one of those walls I’ve tried to keep up begins to crumble.
This one was sweet and adorable, but I don’t like OW drama, even she didn’t cause anything bad, she still made h upset many days, it could have been better.
But the whole story was sweet and worthy reading!!!♥️♥️♥️

Sigh. I loved eeeeeeetttttt so muchie!!!! Lots of tropes that I love! A little bit of Blackmail, bulldozing her into a marriage to lock her down, v!rg!n h, bulldozing her to move in with him, a little dash of ow drama causing problems but quickly resolved! You know! The fun tropes!
She's a foster kid who befriends twins rae (girl) and Travis and they become a family. But Travis was a bad boy (spank spank) and got himself into some trouble! Whoopsie! His boss, the H uses this opportunity to lock the h jj into marriage.
Anyhoo, its not too long and super cute with some angst. I loved it! I can't wait for raes book since she had on a sweater with a kitten on it wearing sunglasses 😂😂😊

Vincent our alpha ott hero that is obsessed with our heroine JJ (Julieta), he sort of blackmailed her to marry him. He just wanted to make sure she was his forever, and he doesn't waste any time! It didn't take long for this insta love story to be the traditional Lucy Darling sweet and gooey love that I relish! I enjoyed it. This story is safe, no cheating, sweet HEA epilogue, no OW comparisons to the h, no OM, there is an OW element in the story, (an employee dealing with keeping Vincent's house in order gave JJ the impression that she takes care of ALL of Vincent's needs. Worry not, nothing ever happened between them, he was oblivious to this OWs feelings he never thought of her as anything but an employee. He fired her when he saw how inappropriate it was to have a women in his home other than his wife and mother, even if she is just an employee). Vincent is in his 30's, celibate for a long while, or as he says it, "his dick was in a long hibernation until he laid eyes on JJ". Not a manwhore. He is faithful, devoted and only has eyes for JJ. She was and is the only woman in his home and his bed. JJ was in foster care, very much used to fight for everything in her life, she is a virgin and has a best friend Rae, (I love her and cannot wait for her story with Ivan who was JJ's boss)!! This was a sweet read, I love Lucy Darling and her books just are a delight!
Plot: Vincent knows that someone is stealing from his company, and he discovers it's Travis, a low-level employee. When he investigates Travis, he finds a picture of his sister with her best friend. Julieta, the best friend, instantly captivates him. He convinces Travis and his sister to get her to come visit, and then he talks her into a marriage of convenience. She doesn't fight his suggestion really hard and they are soon married. She just needs to figure out if they are married married or married for now.
Commentary: Cute marriage of convenience except that he knew all along that he meant it to be forever. I felt like he was pretty shady in the beginning, practically blackmailing Reagan to get JJ there and then blackmailing JJ to marry him. He wasn't a bad guy though, and his mom was great. I've noticed that a lot of the moms in this author's books are great - it's a nice change from the dead Disney mom.
Only Forever (which could be considered the prequel to Only Sunshine) was about 30+-year-old Vincent Castillo, the owner and CEO of Castillo Global Inc., and Julieta "J.J." Jones, a personal assistant to the MMC of Only Sunshine (J.J. was probably in her mid to late 20s since she had already graduated from college, had spent several months interning at her job, then worked another 9 months before the story began.)
When Vincent learned that one of his employees (Travis Smith, who was the twin brother of Raegan from Only Sunshine) was stealing from him, and why, he took action. But it wasn't the normal thing one would do in such a situation like having him arrested. When his security chief gave him Travis' cell phone, he had seen a picture of two women, one of which was his employee's twin sister, but he was more interested in the other woman, and set about learning all he could about her.
When JJ's BFF called her in tears to let her know that not only was her brother in trouble but that the man he had stolen from was insisting that JJ was the answer to solve all the problems, she made a beeline for home. Once she was there, she quickly learned that the reason Vincent wanted her there was to force her to marry him to save her BFF's brother from jail. J.J. didn't hesitate to sign on the dotted line.
This was a fast-paced story that had a lot of angst, drama, and a touch of spice. There was even a bit of push/pull between the two main characters, as well as a villain(ness) to ramp the heat up even more. There was the ever-present rollercoaster ride full of twists and turns one comes to expect from a good story, and this one did not disappoint.
The two main characters were well-developed, mature, and had plenty of room for growth. Neither of them played a head game with the other, even when things got dicey. They managed to communicate with each other and work things out, even if it took a bit for the MMC to get his head out of his derriere and open his eyes to what was going on around him.
I gave this a five-star rating and it will be added to my Keeper for the Shelves collection.
DNF’d at 49%- horrible editing, poor characterization
I really wanted to like this. I have very low standards for KU romance novels but this didn’t even meet them. There were serious editing inconsistencies - She wasn’t on the plane with Vincent, but later it says she was. It says he came but that never was mentioned- did he cum in his pants? In a removed scene? (Clearly acense changes and it wasn’t edited properly)
The romance isn’t remotely believable even from an insta-love perspective. He is attracted to her but she doesn’t seem attracted to him?? But randomly wants to kiss him?
The plot makes no sense whatsoever , even when you give it the benefit of the doubt. There are much better ways for force a fake marriage.
Layout of thing/white room syndrome- I’m constantly confused as to where things are in a room or space.
I don’t believe in the struggle and don’t find anyone attractive since no one has any personality . They’re all stick figures with boobs or a dick. There’s no character development or depth at all.
Frankly I’m surprised I made it as far as I did into the book.
I’ve read better stories written by ten year olds. This is honestly very sad….
I’m an author myself and I hope this person goes back and edits this because the idea had potential. With a. It if work, it could have been an exciting opening to a series… now it’s just sad and make Ake not want to reas anything else
I loved this over the top story about finding your “one”. It was sweet but also steamy while being entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were easy to relate to and interesting. Rae was a wonderful friend (sister). She definitely knew how Julieta (JJ/Jules) felt and thought about things. Vincent was all-in with Jules as soon as he saw her. He was over the moon about her and knew that he had to make her his. Julieta was loyal and dedicated to her “family” to the point that she was willing to lose her job to go to Rae when Rae called her with an emergency. Julieta was surprised by her boss and his actions. His involvement totally messed me up and had me thinking that the story was going to be very different from what I initially expected. Julieta and Vincent were interacting faster than either of them had expected. When the two met face to face, their chemistry was explosive. There was a bit of drama and angst but the resolution was both spicy and fun. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.
It's got all the ingredients to hook me up and leave me satisfied. I loved it, yet I feel as if I've read most of it before XD
My favourite part is the machiavellian plot which the rich business man devises to acquire his bride through manipulation and blackmail. All the pieces in his plan work to perfection, and it was exhilarating. There's even a side plot with another work-obsessed boss who's caught in the middle that foreshadows another enticing story. I'm in!
So, we have Julieta, an orphan who is trying to make a better life for herself, and Vincent, a rich man who seizes his chance to get her with lies to cover his obsession with her.
Luxury, sensuality, real feelings, some misunderstandings to spice it all up, and the story writes itself with entertaining and lively results. Very enjoyable.
i did like the beginning. but the last part was SO disappointing and felt so rushed. the whole book had been leading towards a conversation where the hero would explain how he'd seen the heroine in a picture and fallen in love and manipulated the situation so he could have her. then when it's finally time for that to happen, the hero told the heroine that he's obsessed with her, and he didn't say anything else!! was i the only one who needed that whole conversation to be a lot more detailed and satisfying?? tt fell so flat!! just "im obsessed with you" and then she's all awww and jumps him. and it wasn't until a bit later that he even explained that he'd never been with his ex-assistant. almost the whole reason for her being upset, and she jumped him before asking him about it? makes zero sense. seems like the author rushed the ending.

Great concept and probably steamy scenes too but i didn’t finish because i got annoyed by the writing style—very choppy. Sentences are short so i kinda feel like I’m reading like I’m chopping vegetables. There’s no flow to the words because the sentences are so dang short. Author seems to know only simple sentences.
This isn’t the first Lucy Darling book I’ve read. I used to read her stories while waiting for another author’s books to come out, but I just stopped because of the aforementioned shortness of sentences. Tried reading again because Amazon won’t shut up about recommending her books and I thought maybe she’d have developed/improved her sentence flow but nope. Still short.
Lucy Darling does it yet again with another awesome love at first sight and marriage of convenience romance. Vincent puts that ring on Julieta’s finger, and then it was only forever from there on out for them.
Vincent was so gone for Julieta, and it was so beautiful reading about her feeling that intense attraction to him that quickly turned into a great love. Nothing is more rewarding to me as a reader as when they both admit the fake marriage was never really fake to begin with. This was a completely safe romance with a great story line and with lots of lovin! And the lovin’ was sweet and super steamy! Pick this up and read about this awesome couple and their HEA together.
JJ grew up in foster care and her only family is Raegan and her twin Travis. So when Rae calls that’s Travis is in trouble and they need help, she runs to them. Little does she know meeting Vinny will change her life. After noticing Travis stealing from his company, Vincent sets out to take care of it…. By convincing JJ to marry him.
Their story moves at warp speed and Vinny is so sweet when he breaks down and finally tells JJ how he feels. I just wish they actually spent more time together instead of avoiding each other due to a misunderstanding.
This was so sweet in such a possessive wanting way lol. Vincent wants Julieta the second he lays eyes on a picture of her. And literally does everything in his power to get her to be his wife within hours. Now he’s gotta convince her to stay. Which, as sexy and sweet and possessively growly he can be, can’t be too hard, right? Read and find out. I totally loved this and can’t wait for Raegan’s book!
This is an awesome insta-love story!!! He sees her and knows she is meant for him. But unlike a normal person who would court his lady, he decides to get her to sign a contract stating she’ll be married to him for five years. To him, this means he now has five years to get her to love him or to get her pregnant so she can never leave him. Good thing she wants him just as much as he wants her. Swoon worthy love story!
I love Lucy's books. Sweet, hot, fun to read, great characters. Vincent is not above using blackmail to get his girl once he see's a picture of Julieta. She is willing to do anything for her friend Raegan and by extension, Raegan's twin brother. Including marry Vincent. The reasons why really don't add up but Vincent doesn't let that stop him and Julieta goes along for the ride. So enjoyable, can't wait for Rae's book.
This was a good story. I wish HEA ended like that all the time. Vincent saw Juliet picture and instantly wanted her. He used a crooked employee to get her. I love how Juliet stood her ground even when another woman tried to claim what was her she didn’t back down. I hope Rae and Juliet’s ex-boss story will be coming soon. I also want to know what happened with Travis, Rae’s brother.
One of my standout favorite parts of this book was that Vincent insisted that there be no sex in the marriage contract with Jules. Loved that. I tried to love Harlequin romances but I can't get past how many of them have some kind of sex blackmail. What kind of man has to blackmail a woman into having sex with him? Gross. Vincent was a very enlightened H, and Jules was a strong h. Loved them together.

I am typically not a contemporary romance lover but authors like Lucy, Mink and Nicole Rose had me making an exception for their books, I'm pretty sure I own every one of them! This book is a nice afternoon read and since there are so many possible stories that can spur from this series alone I'm keeping my fingers crossed to be able to read them sometime in the future!!!
Julieta was so sweet and interesting. I loved that she wanted to do for her family and it leads to Vincent. These two certainly had a quick connection that was fun to read about. I thought Vincent was protective and wanted to do everything right for her. They were good together and their story was a great quick read. I received an ARC and am leaving my honest and voluntary review.
Ms. Lucy is back with another awesome book. I loved Vincent and Julieta (JJ) together. Vincent knew as soon as he saw a pic of Julieta, that she was the one for him. Julieta is “conned” into married Vincent; however, she can’t fight the pull and growing feelings for him. This was a wonderful book, and I can’t wait to see what Ms. Lucy has in store for us next!
I received a free e-book copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Vincent knows what he wants and that's Julieta. He doesn't do it the old fashion way and dates her to get her to fall in love with him. No he has a contract to be married for 5 yrs. That should be enough time to make her love him or enough time to knock her up so she's stuck with him forever. Little does he know she's as infatuated with him as he is her.
When Julieta gets a phone from her best friend for help she drops everything to help her. Vincent see's a picture of the beautiful Julieta and sets a plan in motion to make her his. The more he gets to know Julieta the more his obsession grows. If you love OTT Alphas you will love Only Forever.
