2.5 ⭐️. This story is a mess. I never really felt a great connection between Nash and Raven throughout any of the books and her reason for leaving seemed poorly thought out.

I felt that the author definitely did not plot out the big bad in this series and changed her mind as she went along with the story. First it looked like it was going to be Van and then he was just off the hook despite what he did to Nash and Raven?? Then it was suddenly another character and just thrown in there with an explanation again that was lame at best.

Now there is any other player who at this point is just a creepy starer and the plot sadly goes on with more characters.

Not enough suspense with the plot or interest in any of the characters to read any more interlinked books.

Yikes

Another trilogy crashes and burns. This last book was a hot mess of convoluted PC pandering and scattered story. The author lost the plot. None of the characters’ actions or thoughts made any sense. Even the sex was cringe because it made no sense in context of timing and relationship status and situation. I was wincing and skimming.

The first book started out promising but by the end of this book I hated the heroine and the hero was turned into an emasculated bore.

Womp womp.

Omg this series was amazing. Raven and Nash story is coming to a close. We finally get answers. I did not see those twist coming. This series was perfect and the ending left it open for more and i cant wait to see what this author gives us next.

I have to say, I did not like this series. I thought the main characters lacked character, and what personality they did have was unappealing, the dialogue was clunky and unrealistic, their love was poorly developed, and the writing was terribly wordy. I myself have a habit of making a short story long, I know this, but this author would overexplain things for paragraphs. It was as she thought subtlety and nuance were grammatical errors. It made getting through this trilogy quite the trek. But here's the thing: I made the trek. I pushed through all of the bits that I didn't like, over and over, all the way to the last book and through it. That's because, for all its faults, there was one thing this story did to great effect: mystery. It had intrigue in spades, and I found myself determined to stick it out come what may for answers. Unfortunately, now that I'm on the other end of it all, I regret that decision. This series didn't make a lick of sense.

As to why Raven left town like she did, I was surprised to find that it didn't make her look very good, not good at all.

The Chevaliers are definitely the least secret secret society I have ever heard. At one point, Nash was to meet with the Chaveliers' chairman, and he was like "whatever you have to say to me you can say to him", referring to his unaffiliated buddy, and they just allowed it. What kind of secret society would be down with letting an outsider in on a meeting in their secret clubhouse?

The whole 'killing people' aspect doesn't really fit with the tone of the rest of the story. It seems super random and incongruous as a part of the Chevaliers. Even more awkward was Nash's creepy boner for murder. For the record, I read dark stories with graphic violence and murdering heroes all the time, that isn't a problem for me. But making Nash your standard, wealthy, asshole, king of the school jock who-as a sidenote-also gets an incomparable high from slitting people's throats is a disturbing detail doesn't feel cohesive. It sticks out like a sore thumb in the context of the story.

The nature of Nash's particular relationship with murder made it so much stranger. Like, usually if a character is casual about murder, it's out of necessity, or because they've been trained to think of it that way, or because they've been exposed to a bunch of dark shit, etc. But with Nash, we actually saw-on page-how he was a normal teen with a normal life, and when one evening before dinner his dad instructed Nash to kill someone, he just did it. He wasn't forced by any means, and the only justification he was given for the guy's death sentence was that I guess he tried to scam his family out of money? Upon hearing that, Nash even thought to himself that his family's wealth was probably amassed in equally unscrupulous ways. He put up a really flimsy hesitation, saying that he didn't "feel comfortable", and hemmed and hawed about it for like a minute and a half, but then he just went for it and slit the guy's throat. Afterwards, he seemed positively fine about it! He walked away as the guy bled out and checked his texts to see that Raven had responded, and remarked, " It was the perfect end to a thrilling night. " I'm guessing all of this is supposed to give him a sexy, 'dark and dangerous' type quality, but it was totally unappealing.

More on Nash-I know everybody grieves differently, but he didn't really seem to react much to Only the day after it happened, he thought to himself, "While things hadn't worked out the way I'd hoped, I had the ability to change the course, at least for me." That's really fast to be finding that kind of perspective! He seemed to be processing it all very easily, and taking it remarkably in stride. It made me less than convinced that he ever cared all that much.

None of that plan with the made any sense to me. I could understand the basis for it, but the way it was executed didn't add up.

Then finally, the moment we've all been waiting for, the reveal of who had it out for Raven was a complete disappointment. I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised, as I was underwhelmed with every part of the story up until that point. It was just such a stretch. The villain had a totally lame, poorly developed, hastily explained, stupid, pathetically weak line of reasoning. We slogged through three books and that's what we got?? Come on!

I know this is probably too harsh of a review, I just feel frustrated with how much time I spent on it. But really, that's my fault. I should've tapped out when I realized that it wasn't working for me. For the record, there were some good sex scenes.

That was just not it!

THE WRITING was still bad and didn’t improve at all. The sentence structures were awkward and a lot of the scenes were fillers and didn’t add to the plot at all and were only there to add to the number of pages this book has. This series would’ve been better as one book because really there wasn’t much to go on about.

THE PLOT was mediocre. Getting into the first book I was actually very excited and it’s because I love it when the couple have known each other before but they had to seperate for an x period of time before they can reunite trope. However, this book did a poor job of expressing their past as relevant. I have to point out that I love how Nash uses the nickname “little bird” I think it’s adorable and is a good showcase of their past together. Blackwood could’ve spent chapters with flashbacks of their past together that then are parallel to the present them. A good thing she did in book two was the ice cream thing which was a GREAT way to show how they fell in love again. Other than that, there was little to no mention or “past” that they seemed to share ( minus the dinner with the family scene because that was utterly pointless and if not, poorly executed).

The story was around a 180 pages per book and yet I couldn’t tell you ONE thing that Tomas did that actively traumatised, hurt, or put Raven in danger. How was he the main villain if he started cowering in fear the moment Nash picked up the axe, when he played little to no role in scaring her. The only thing he did was attempt to kidnap her. Most of the time, Raven was just hiding away in places when she wasn’t ever in danger. There were more security measures put into place by both Nash and Kingston than need be. Especially as Tomas was a very lazy villain. Complete and utter disappointment.

I will most likely not be continuing with the next stories so it’s a bummer that I wouldn’t be able to really get to know who this Unknown number is.

All I could do was cry about leaving Nash. The circumstances of the two events had changed, but the result was the same. I was sitting here crying over Nash.

STILL DON’T LIKE RAVEN I mean I’ve tried to but she not only gives me the ick but it’s hella annoying when the entire story premises is supposed to revolve around her and she can’t come up with a single plan/idea to save herself.
Without even thinking about it, I followed his directions and immediately afterward, doubts about doing that sprang to the surface. I could have run out into the hallway and yelled for the guard who had walked me to my room. There was a chance that he was still nearby or standing near the door, right?

Like look at this, are you telling me that you who were crying little two chapters ago about missing Nash, are now planning to run away from him in fear?? This is what I don’t like about their relationship. It’s one thing to show Nash’s domineering nature or to show him as scary but this isn’t the first time she’s thought to quite literally betray him like that. Because are you telling me that the only way you could carry on with that farce of “enemies to lovers” was by making Raven scared of angry Nash?! Not only is Nash’s anger totally justified and Raven’s fear totally UNJUSTIFIED. But it’s the fact that she’s so selfish. She doesn’t think for a moment that what he must’ve of been going through for the past few days when he thought you were dead. She doesn’t comfort him for his broken heart. No. She thinks like a self entitled main character who suddenly has so many issues and so many burdens. Like no girl! Yes, your father’s news was shocking but you haven’t even been exposed to ANY danger. She has been kept safe from Paul by Nash, kept safe in the cabin, kept safe in the apartment with Kingston. This girl didn’t even had to face the villain face to face. And then she has the audacity to act like a scarred little mc.
A few weeks ago, I probably would have been upset by such a result. But now, it was what they deserved

Let’s also not forget to mention how she pushes Nash away for absolutely nothing. Like girl?! This guy’s being sincere with you, putting his life in danger for you and this is how you treat him?

“Anything related to the Chevalier leadership trials doesn’t mean shit to me anymore.”
Tomas studied me, probably wondering if I was telling the truth. If he didn’t realize that I was willing to risk everything, then that was on him. If I didn’t get the answers I needed, I didn't care what I had to do to show my anger.
I had no problem setting this world on fire and taking everything down with me.

NASH is a relatively nice character. I haven’t gotten attached to any characters in this book which is honestly sad and if I were to get attached to one it would’ve probably been Easton cause damn the way he stood by Nash and accompanied him at the start. That was true friendship right there. I wish there was more to the scenes than just keeping Raven safe. Like they could’ve had scenes in their classes, football game or at a chevaliers mission. These all seemed like background furniture and it was really hilarious how both the mcs probably missed so much of their uni work and that wasn’t even dwelled upon as much as it should’ve.

I hated how Van Henson got away with all the shit he cooked up with not as much as even a scratch. Again the whole relevance he could’ve had in stirring the “enemies” side of Raven and Nash’s relationship was a potential missed.

I glanced at Easton out of the corner of my eye and found him staring at Bianca. I barely controlled myself from shoving him before I whispered, "Watch it, fucker."
I don't know what had come over Easton because him watching Bianca this hard was new. He did, however, heed my warning and averted his gaze.

I find Easton x Bianca really cute and I might read their book or I might not (because I think I’ll have to read the Westfield series as well and I’m not a big fan of deceased lover and finding new lover because they look alike. Like nah!).

Honestly I wish I liked this book as much as the potential it had but I just couldn’t deal with the awful chapters, badly developed characters and just plain running in circles without a close to satisfying ending.

Raven and Nash have discovered that what tore them apart was based on secrets and lies. I was shocked to find out who was responsible for bringing her back to Brentson! Kingston was so very controlled (big surprise) in revealing to Raven who she truly was. Life changing information for someone to digest when the danger surrounding her was so very real. I loved how Nash's persona changed when he thought he'd lost Raven forever.

The twists and turns this story included made it an excellent read and a great end to a wonderful series.

I received an ARC for an honest review

Author’s note: there are triggers, so please head the content warning

Book three picks up where book two ends and it will not disappoint.

Raven is on the run, forced into hiding due to an unknown threat, in the process coming to terms with her new familial ties, and learning some gut wrenching truths about her parents.

Nash is determined to avenge the pain he is feeling over the loss of Raven, using his grief to fuel his determination in finding the answers and making those people hurt and when he goes looking at Chevalier Manor, he is met with more questions that answers.

Raven is overwhelmed with emotions when she meets the Cross family, all welcoming her into the fold, her uncle making amends for the sins of his brother, bestowing her, her rightful birthright, finally allowing Raven to belong.

It all finally comes to a head when Raven is introduced to the world as a Cross, but more-so Nash is confronted with a shocking truth, one that is met with mixed emotions even from Raven herself.

When Raven is confronted by Van Henson, she is shocked more-so than him, when she finds her voice and puts him in his place, determined not to let what happened in her past control her future.

But that doesn’t compare to the shock Raven receives when she is met by Nash, and all bets are off, for when two warring hearts collide, let’s just say the smut level was smuttier and off the charts, and well worth the melted kindle.

When they have the hard conversation, further truths are revealed and everything begins to make more sense. And when Kingston and Nash go all alpha over Raven’s safety, she puts them in there place.

Raven and Nash settle back into life and routine in Brentson as if nothing has changed, but they no better, and when Nash sets out for his final task with the Chevalier’s, he knows something is off, and when he is confronted, it is by the last person he least expected, and when truths are revealed behind the motives, and justice prevails, leading to an outcome Nash never would have expected.

Am sad to see Nash and Raven’s story end, they finally got the happily ever after they deserve, but as one story closes another opens and let’s just say that, that bonus content is well worth the read!

….. Incoming Message?……..
Who is behind the texting?
Why the cryptic texts?

“Little Bird” for those who have read the first two books in series, will know of this reference 😉

This is an Arc Review, am honoured to read.
Bri excelled in ‘Devious Series’

* Bri makes a note on a certain chapter regarding trigger factor for some readers.
The blurb is awesome, some up the storyline perfectly.

A cliffhanger of a series, The Devious Series for me has rounded all of Bri’s Series thus far. From the ‘Cross Series -> Devious Series’. Characters have crossed over, which only made it more intriguing. It appeared to have all led here though.
The Chevaliers, Secrets, Mysteries, Death, Passion, emotional characters, Love/Hate, Crimes of Passion - oh, I can go on. It never ends.

Nash & Raven have endured so much in order to reach their destination. Raven’s lost - her mother. All leading to a life of tangible webs. Bri is a mistress of intrigue. Devious Heir may be the end to the trilogy but the storyline still goes on through new characters and a new upcoming trilogy. Nash & Raven have almost gone full circle. A beginning, a centre and yes an end. Tribulations were presented to them throughout the scenes. Hurdles not only jumped but leaped. Are all answers complete? I guess it will be up to the reader to conclude, but I feel that answers may be presented in the next series.

- Bloodthirsty
- Intoxicating
- Demanding
- Secrets, Secrets, Secrets…….

🔥🔥🔥🔥 ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥 a standing ovation 👏

Nash and Raven went from lovers to enemies back to lovers. This series was a nonstop rollercoaster full of twists and turns and non-stop suspense. With everything they've been through Nash never stopped loving Raven. Even when he tried to hate her; he knew he would still do anything for her.

Nash was a man on a mission in this book after watching the SUV Raven and her brother explode; but Nash quickly learns that things aren't what they seem. I was so happy for Raven. She grew up not knowing her father, losing her mother, leaving the love of her life and just trying to get by only to learn that she is an Heir to a billion-dollar fortune. She found the family she never knew existed on her father's side who welcomed her with open arms. Even when her own father refused to when she was a child.

All of Nash's work was worth it when he uncovers the shady dealing of the Chevaliers Chairman and his plot to murder Raven then Nash because of his father's past sins. Nash was tired of playing by everyone's rules and he had no problem proving that he was willing to burn down the world to keep Raven safe. Loyalties were tested, murder plans were foiled, and Nash did what was necessary for him and Raven to get their HEA.

This was a good ending to this series but also the beginning of another as a few characters in this book will be getting their own stories. Therefore, I look forward to seeing Nash and Ravn making a few cameo appearances.

What a mind blowing finale to this trilogy! I've loved Nash and Raven from the get-go, rocky though it was. My heart bled for them, aching each time yet another obstacle was thrown at them. I railed against the Fates that were so cruel as to deny them happiness. I cried for them. I cheered for their successes. It was about time for them to receive the break that they both needed from all challenges being thrown their way. The heartbreaks, angst and rage that they have survived through to finally reach that hard earned happily ever after, this couple deserves to live a stress-free life from here on into old age. For being so young, they have suffered so much. The highs have raised them above their goals only to have their lows dash them on the rocks time and time again. The hurdles that were placed in front of them seemed insurmountable but they proved that nothing was going to beat them. Nash was overprotective and possessive, throwing himself into the path of danger to save his girl while Raven stood behind her man, no matter the consequences. Even through their separation, they loved each other, never being able to quite give up hope that they would be together. Theirs is a love that has already stood the test of time and you can tell that it will endure whatever comes their way.

Nash and Raven have taken up residence in my heart. Two dynamic characters that will blow your mind and grab your heart. These two definitely brought down the house with this ending. This book is full of twists and turns, surprising you around every bend, giving you the ride of your life. A roller coaster you don't want to get off. Grab it, I dare you!!

Really wanted this to end better

I struggled with liking the lead characters throughout but hoped this would redeem them. In part, it did, but there was so much wrong with this last book.
I thought that everything would be revealed finally and I'd suddenly realise all the clues I'd missed pointed to the perpetrators of the kidnapping plot and the author of the unknown texts, but there actually weren't any clues to miss. The bad guy came out of nowhere and his motive was so out of left field and made absolutely no sense that it wasn't just me losing the plot. And the texts? Yeah, no idea either, so I presume that mystery will carry over to the next series.
Nash redeemed himself partly but his reaction to the main shock of the book left a lot to be desired. All he wanted was vengeance, rather than acting the way most of us would in those circumstances. Raven actually grew a backbone right at the end, which I liked, but it was too little, too late.
The best thing about this book was seeing more Kingston and also the Cross Family too.
I'm not sure if I will continue with these books because they are getting harder and harder to plough through which makes me sad, because I have been with Bri right from the beginning. I am in the minority though, and you may love them.

This was the conclusion of this trilogy, and I really enjoyed it. This was, like the first two books, easy to read and written beautifully.

Many questions are answered, and Nash and Raven can finally have their HEA after everything they have been through. This was nerve-wrecking with a lot of tension and had many moments where I was in shock.

Nash finally admits out loud his true feelings for Raven, and it shows in his actions and his mission to exact vengeance for Raven. I feel for him because he thought he lost her once again, and he didn’t have the chance to confess his feelings to her. Once he knew she was fine, he wasted no time telling her how he truly feels and stayed by her side because he didn’t want to lose her again.

Raven finally got answers about her mother’s death and can start a journey of healing fully, knowing the truth. I’m happy that she has a great support group around her, so she doesn’t have to go through everything alone. During their time apart, Raven was worried about Nash, which showed she truly loved and cared for him.

Overall, really enjoyed this trilogy and I absolutely can’t wait to read more.

I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

I wish she were here... This was supposed to be nothing more than a game. One where the odds were completely stacked in my favor. But it all went awry. Losing Raven again hurt much worse than before. Because there was not coming back from this. Now, I was a man bent on avenging what I'd lost. One thing would always remain the same: She was mine. But there was something I didn't know; Nothing was as it seemed.

This is the final book in the Brentson University Series. You will need to read the other two books before you can read this one or you are going to be lost. Devious Game and Devious Secret are those books.
This is a dark series too. You will for sure need to heed the warnings in the beginning of the book. It will contain triggers for some readers. As I said this is the conclusion to the trilogy and we are finally going to get the answers we have all been wanting so badly. This book has a twist in it you will never see coming and it is mind blowing. I have really loved reading this series very much.

~Book Review~

•Devious Heir by Bri Blackwood•

Devious Heir is the 3rd and final book in the Brenston university series.

This was a great way to round off the story of Raven and Nash and was not expecting that plot twist! This book keeps you guessing “who’s after Raven? And why?” and I was not expecting the outcome. There’s still some questions unanswered and that we might still get in Bri’s next crossover series and I can’t wait for the release of ‘The lies beneath’.

I highly recommend the Brenston university series
-second chance
-enemies to lovers
-found family
-secret society
-kidnapping
-possessive
-plot twists
-college romance
-spice
-mystery
-crossover series

After the way ‘Devious secrets’ ended I’m glad that it immediately picked up from left off. Raven and Nash have gone through so much in the last few years and their relationship is definitely a rocky one but have still found themselves drawn back to each other.

I love the way that of Bri’s other series Broken Cross crosses over with this so you already have the background info on the Cross family and Kingston (and if you haven’t checked them out, I recommend).

We finally get the answers to what's been going on! Lots of surprises and being new to this world, I'm hoping there are more Cross stories to help even out all the new people we meet.

There were parts that felt off to me, namely when Kingston showed up and all the details to the Cross family. Raven's connection and everything that happened with her parents. We get almost no information about the father. The story with Van felt.... off? Both with how easily he changes his story to Nash and tries to make it sound like Nash just didn't give him time to explain things, except he had years. And then, being the convoluted reason for being behind the threat in the first place. Actually, most of the emotions from the main guys in the series sometimes all ring false.

I actually did like the twist on who was ultimately behind things. Even if the reasoning and his set up was....convoluted at best.

Overall, I'm happy with how everything wrapped up, and I'm so glad both Nash and Raven were able to overcome everything and keep moving forward. Now, I'm even more excited to dive into Bianca's story!

Devious Heir by Bri Blackwood.

Thank you to Bri and Ellewoodspr for the ARC!

The conclusion is here. Questions are answered. Raven learns who murdered her mother and why. Which leads to so many discoveries and opportunities. Nash figures out what he truly wants along the way and things finally fall into place. Not one but two spin-offs are in the works with this finale. Congratulations Bri!

Ok. This is going to have spoilers, so don't say I didn't warn you. I don't understand how people are happy with the ending.

The "bad guy" had nothing to do with anyone and we had no idea who he was or why he was doing anything until the end. We still have mysterious texts that are apparently going to run into another part of this series. I don't think I'll read any of those. Lots of plot holes and things that don't make sense to me, but looking at the other reviews, I'm in the minority. Football practice at the collegiate level isn't optional and I have no idea why that bothers me so much. What's up with no one else having the option of being chairman? I guess we'll find out what other creepy things Nash's dad does or atones for in later books in the series, maybe with Bianca's books? Now we're moving on to Bianca's friend who we met for all of three paragraphs, which leads me to believe we'll be doing this for a while. Well, not we, because I'm not coming along for the journey.

Wasn’t exactly the conclusion I was hoping for or expecting. I was kinda disappointed by how everything turned out. It felt like the author suddenly decided to switch the direction of the story was going from the first two books. It was a little disappointing to see Raven and Nash apart for the first half of the book and have him thinking she was dead. And I was not a fan of how Raven reacted when she saw him for the first time since the explosion (which was only about a week or two prior) at the gala. It was like she was angry he was waiting for her in the hotel room and she acted like the time they spent together after the cabin and prior to the explosion didn’t happen. They didn’t leave things on bad terms, they were actually moving forward and were together- yet now all of sudden in book 3 it was a different vibe. Which left me wondering if the author forgot the status of their relationship at the end of book 2.

I loved this book! We get answers to many questions and we get to see how both Raven and Nash finally get their HEA. It was well written and kept my attention from page one!

I love how Nash comes to his senses and finally admits his true feelings for Raven. I love that he is determined to get vengeance for her. I love how much Raven loves Nash and that she is so worried about him. I love that she gets answers about her mother and finally gets to meet her family. I love that she isn’t alone anymore and just needing to survive.

I love that even though all of the books Bri writes are in their own series, every series that I have read by her so far are also interconnected. I love that all of the past characters come to visit us and we get to see how their life is evolving after their stories.

Devious Heir is a fantastic conclusion to Nash and Raven's trilogy in the Brentson University series. You must read these in series order. I love that we finally get all the answers to everything with this one. Raven finds out who she really is and why she was summoned back to her hometown. Lots of truths come out that surround Nash and Raven's families. Their love is filled with challenges and hasn't been easy. But they have this beautiful connection that is stronger than everything thrown at them. I loved this one so much and could not get enough of Nash and Raven. You are in for one heck of a ride when it comes to these two. This may be the final book for Nash and Raven but there is still more Brenston University to come and I cannot wait. I could not get enough of this book and series. Go one click it all now and enjoy the ride.

TITLE: Devious Heir
GENRE: Dark Romance
AUTHOR: Bri Blackwood
TROPE: Enemies to Lovers, Billionaire, College Romance
TYPE: Series (Brentson University Book 3)
POV: Dual POV
MY RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5

Devious Heir was the final installment of this trilogy which wrapped up Raven & Nash's story. The storyline picks up right after the cliffhanger at the end of Devious Secret. There were a few moments that I did not see coming, including the ending, which came as a bit of a surprise to me. There is also some unanswered mystery leading up to the next book in the Brentson University world, but not in a way that this trilogy feels unfinished but more of an underlying suspense tying us to the following books. The next book (Shattered Saint) is a new trilogy that revolves around Bianca & Easton, who both made many appearances in this series. I am giving Devious Heir a rating of 4 / 5 Stars.

SPOILERS.

Well this took a plot twist. This is what happens in the book. Raven becomes a part of the Cross family, Nash becomes a chairman, they are together, they find out who tried to kidnap Raven and thats mostly it. At the end they are happy and together but they still didnt find a person who is sending messages from an unknown number. I liked the story but something was missing and it just wasnt enough for me. I needed more Nash and Raven here. Also in the whole series i just didnt feel their conection. Sure, smuth was good and all but like real conection just wasnt here. God, how i love Kingston i didnt read his book bc i didnt know it existed bot now i for sure will. When i put everything together, this wasnt bad. I am really excited for The Cross family and ofc, Nash'es little sister enemies to lovers story.

A spectacular and surprising ending to the Brentson University Series! As Raven and Nash's story comes to an end, a surprising connection to characters from the fantastic Broken Cross Series are introduced and add more intrigue and mystery to this already mysterious story. When you look in a dictionary to find the definition of a "Masterful Conclusion", you should find a reference to Bri Blackwood's Devious Heir. Great writing and while I am sad "this" series has concluded, there are hints that we will see some of the characters in a new duet that Ms. Blackwood is set to release soon. I CANNOT WAIT!

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.

The gripping conclusion to the Brentson University trilogy. The books need to be read in order as the story unfolds from the start of Devious Games with the mystery and intrigue kicking up a notch in this final chapter with more twists and turns and shocking moments before all the questions are answered and the loose ends tied up.
Ms Blackwood has taken us on such a rollercoaster of a ride with Nash and Raven’s love story; the events in this book really crystalize Nash’s feelings for Raven and it was a relief for us to leave them in a good place.
Ms Blackwood has given us, with Devious Heir, a fitting conclusion to their story that I enjoyed every moment of reading.

This final book to Nash & Raven's story was a terrific conclusion to the lover to enemies to lovers story. The mystery, the drama, the steam and more all made this trio of books fascinating to read and each book was better than the last. The mystery is unpredictable and although a bit of the mystery is still unsolved the main mystery was such a surprise that will leave you questioning why. I loved this series and can't wait til the Bianca's and Easton's story is released. Bri Blackwood writes terrific dark romance, this series was the first I have read of hers but it most definitely won't be the last. Happy Reading!!!

Starting immediately after the huge cliffhanger of the previous book, we start to learn more about Raven's heritage and her links to a family of wealth and power. Nash is left thinking the worst, though I have to say his reactions to events seemed, to me, quite muted. That being said this book cracks along a a great pace, dropping huge revelations all over the place, but the thing I loved the most was Raven's growing strength and ability to express herself. 👏
This has been a great conclusion to this exciting trilogy and I am delighted to know that more stories are to come! 💖💖💖💖

What a fantastic ending to this series! I loved seeing Nash's devotion to Raven, like him saying even when he hated her, he would do anything for her. So nice to have the Cross family make some appearances in this book, I love seeing characters we already know from other books in the shared universe.

It's a great spicy and suspenseful read. If you love lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers again, secret societies and some suspense, this just might be for you!

I did receive an ARC copy of this book, but I'm leaving this review voluntarily.

Wow!!! What a conclusion to the series! Raven does get all of her answers, and finds a new path she didn't expect. Nash gets his own twists and turns and him and Raven find answers together.
It's fantastic to see them finally get their HEA.
It also sets up the next series as well, which is bound to be fantastic!
Bri has outdone herself with this series. It has drama, twists, mystery, action, heat and steam.
Everything I could want in a book. I recommend this highly!!
I have received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a honest review.

I really like Nash and Raven. Like I wish they had a better story. Or like a better version of this story? Not even sure what I mean by that- but something is still not sitting quite right with me.

The whole book and how things wrap up are so far fetched. Like what. This secret society stuff. I can’t even. And this ruthless billionaire family just being all nice and kind and welcoming? Like what?

I don’t know. It was better than the first two books since shiz actually happened, but overall still a hot mess.
