I Hope This Finds You is an empowering poetry book that explores the themes of sadness, healing, love, heartbreak, letting go, loving yourself, and rising again from the pain of your past. The book serves as a beautiful reminder that no matter how lost you feel, you can always find your way back to yourself. I Hope This Finds You is a journey in which you will find the strength to transform your life and realize that the power is in your hands. I hope this poetry book finds YOU.
A very soothing/aesthetically pleasing book with complicated feelings expressed in a beautiful way. The best part is one of the starting pages where the meaning of title and book cover design has been explained. It helps in connecting with the thought process of the writer. Quick refreshing read.
"I don't believe diamond nor steel is the strongest object on earth, For the human heart even after it has been battered and bruised still beats."
I really enjoy Brandon's poetry books complete with photographs to annotate the journey of emotions we go on through each collection bringing it to life even more.
For me in this collection, the poem about shedding skin about the life cycle of our bodies replacing cells to become anew and untouched by past love really made me think how amazing the human body is to rejuvenate and revitalise itself so we are in someways becoming a new us as we journey on through life quite literally.
Discussion of finding a heart to be a permanent home but temporary people as love comes into and disappears from our lives too was deeply heartfelt and the ending of the collection, the photography and evocative language and imagery used just rounded it off perfectly in my view as if we'd explored a cycle of love found, held and lost.
I enjoyed reading this book, and liked the writing. Although I felt like I've read most of it before somewhere else. It happens with short poetry, as the pieces are basically just one sentence, but there were a lot of pieces that sounded familiar in one way or another. Also the formatting and style of the book was like reading one of Atticus' books. The pictures used in this book were beautiful and added a nice touch, but pictures + formatting + font type were similar to Atticus' books, so basically anything in this book felt like "I've seen this before."
Such a beautifully curated collection of words and imagery that truly resonates. The photos throughout the book are stunning and add a deep, emotional layer to the writing, making the experience even more immersive. Many of the pieces spoke to me on a personal level, capturing emotions and moments in a way that felt both raw and relatable. While I really enjoyed the book, there were a few moments where I wished for a bit more depth or cohesion in the flow. That said, it’s a wonderful read—thoughtful, evocative, and worth revisiting.
I have never read a book that had such an impact on me. I found myself in each of the words, each of the images. Thank you for these 132 pages of pure happiness.
This is the kind of instagram poetry book that makes poetry lovers cringe. It is full of cliches and trite sayings meant to inspire folks so I’ll give it that. But as someone who studied poetry and loves poetry, it doesn’t have anything remarkable or groundbreaking. It is a 10 minute read about heartbreak taken straight from a tumblr page written by an angsty teenager. I wouldn’t recommend it personally.
It felt like 6 different people all wrote this and couldn’t agree on formatting. There were also a few that I had to go ba k and reread because I feel like I’ve read them before and I couldn’t place where I had.
I borrowed a copy from a friend. She and I are citizens of separate Native American nations. We could not find any proof that he is a citizen of a Native American nation. If anyone else knows then please let me know.
“Thanks for loving me on the days I find it hard to love myself” I loved the poems, artwork and the photographs. This was chefs 💋. The only part i didn’t love s that its a PDF on kindle unlimited so i wasn’t able to highlight anything.
i might have given this one more stars if i had read it about two months ago, but right now it doesnt make a lot of sense to me, it's basically about separation, so some poems became irrelevant to me, and there wasnt anything great either... i've read better poems on this topic, like Rumi or Helium
very basic and cliche. i have an eerie feeling most of these poems are plagiarized because they felt sooo familiar. original or not, the poems were just... bad. one of them poems in this collection was literally just
I loved loved loved this poetry book so much. All things love, self love, strength and just all round beautiful poems about life. So many of these poems were saved because I just related to so many of them. And I loved the images throughout the book too!!
I really loved the writing style as well as the photos. I am a big fan of both reading and writing poetry. This is definitely one of the best poetry books I have read in a while!
The poems were very basic and read like something I’ve seen on tumblr or tiktok. They read like recycled quotes from 10 years. There were a few poems that I thought were sweet but a lot of them were average. I really enjoyed the pictures that were throughout the book though. Very pretty.
This was a wonderful collection of poems with many varieties of form. Relationships are the heart of the collection with some self-reflection sprinkled in.
