Have started harvesting the garden and thought I'd take a look at this book as I have a large variety of foods I want to preserve for the winter months. This contains three books. .. book 1: pressure canning without the danger Starts with offer of free ebooks and the links work. Listing of what is free to get. Intro discusses the pressure cooker and how to choose the right one. The parts of the PC are discussed in detail as to what they all do and how to keep them working and clean. The new models today I know you can preserve with as I've done it. This appears to be an older cookbook. More prep discussion, the recipe, the food itself, test run and errors and how to fix them when using PC is also included. Other chapters discuss certain vegetables that you can preserve and how it's done. Like section on making your own stock. We've done this many times and comes out perfect for long winter months. Safety lessons when it comes to meats are included. Disease and illnesses are also discussed and how to take care of the PC. References are included but I felt this was for older models of pressure cookers. ...
