The newest Baby Blues scrapbook includes every comic strip from 2021, showcasing the relatable antics of family life with 9-year-old Zoe, 7-year-old Hammie, and 2-year-old Wren in a unique comic strip experience that will appeal to parents (and grandparents!) everywhere.
Featuring the combined talents of writer Jerry Scott and illustrator Rick Kirkman, Baby Blues is one of the most popular family comic strips of the past three decades. Appearing in newspapers across the country, Baby Blues chronicles the cuteness, sibling squabbles, sleepless nights, and daily comedy of the MacPherson family. The latest scrapbook includes an entire year's worth of Baby Blues comics by the award-winning duo, who draw on their own personal experiences in capturing the joys and complexities of modern family life in hilarious comic-strip form.
Rick Kirkman is a cartoonist and co-creator of the comic strip Baby Blues. He received the National Cartoonist Society Newspaper Comic Strip Award in 1995, and the Reuben Award in 2012 for his work on the strip. He also served as co-executive producer of The WB animated television series of Baby Blues.
Still a great series to enjoy, laugh and relax. I still think that with Zitt and stone soup those are my favorite comics because you can relate with them and laugh still. Hoping for more as usual.
I've been reading Baby Blues for many years, and recently decided to purchase and read all of the titles in the series, and it has been enjoyable and fun! This oversize treasury volume includes a collection of strips from the early 2020s and as such is very current. All three kids are growing up; the strips are large and well-reproduced, with many in color. I always love Daryl's misadventures: he rescues a spider from inside the house to take outside only to panic when it gets on him! He battles with the blocked toilet and he takes the family on a motorhome trip! Meanwhile Wanda drives the car into the ordering pole at the drive thru coffee place and the kids now a bit older, concoct adventure after adventure. I had three kids myself and I can relate! Any fan of the strip will love this large volume collection!
It has been ages since I last read anything from the Baby Blues series. My desire to read the series again is because I have been inhaling as many Zits titles as I can. Given that Jerry Scott does both and I am a big fan of his, here we are.
Thankfully, this series gives me the giggles but does not in any way give me baby fever. Hahahaha 😆
