Multiple time USA TODAY & Amazon 5-million copy bestselling authors DAVID ARCHER and BLAKE BANNER have combined forces to create one hell of a thriller series!
Helen Troy is in the race to become the first Female President of the United States. She is pretty, feminine, assertive and a guy’s guy kind of girl, who smokes cigars and drinks whisky with the best of’em. Everybody loves her; but nobody has heard of her till now and she has an uphill fight against some experienced heavy hitters. But that’s not her biggest problem.
Her biggest problem is a list; a list that includes members of the executive as well as senators, bankers and businessmen, Israeli officials, and her. And one by one everyone on that list is dying.
Mason and Gallin are assigned to protect her and find the authors of the list. At first it seems a simple enough task, until, after a particularly gruesome killing, Mason finds the other half of the list; the half no one knew existed, the half he is on.

David Archer was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. He is a fiction author and novelist, writing in the mysteries and thrillers genre. His approach to writing is to hit deep, keep you entertained, and leave you wanting MORE with every turn of the page. He writes mysteries, thrillers, and suspense novels, all of which are primed to get your heart pumping.
Too cumbersome made more so by very poor editing. Misspelled words wrong words interrupted the flow, poor sentence structure as well. I forced myself to finish to confirm what I determined early on
There were several jumps from here to there and back, but the plot was well planned. Character descriptions could use a little more for the side characters. Several of the side characters were a little to obvious and their place in the story showed up to soon. The bodyguard for instance was easily shown as a bad guy and the Senator stood out as not only evil but also stupid.
Banner & Archer have written a delightful story. Alex Mason is a similar to 007 character that manages to remain a top US agent without all the fancy bells and whistles provided to Bond. The story is excellent. Keeps you on the edge of your seat. Love the nice influence of Mossad agent Gallin. I did have the culprit figured out prior to end of story but only made the ending better.
Unfortunately I read it in the rain, but would have been perfect on the beach Overall it's OK, must admit that the surprise wasn't and the twists and turns were less than confusing Alex and Galain need to work how the relationship is going to work and ODIN needs to stop pretending that she doesn't work for them Other than that a steady read that keeps you turning the pages
This story was another fantastic thriller. There was no hint of who the real villain was until it was disclosed by the author. Clues were there but it was disguised well. Anyone who likes a political thriller should not miss this book. Looking forward to the next one.
I am so relieved that my faith in David Archers books in being the best thrillers ever is completely vindicated. This collaboration with Blake is amazing. Once again I was on the edge of my seat, throughout and didn’t guess who the real villain was until it was revealed. The Alex Mason series rocks.
One of the best political espionage novels I have read in a long time. Alex along with a friend from Mossad struggle against both political & corporate interest to solve an emerging string of unexpected deaths connected to one political party. Fast paced, quick changes in the plot, all pointing to a power grab by a foreign power. Great read.
I liked it. Great read with interesting main characters. Excellent action with a twisting and believeable plot line. Also, some insider looks at Washington DC and a huge government with politicians and bureaucrats that are not all trustworthy or motivated by patriotism. But completely dedicated to their own personal power and influence! At any cost!!
As I work my way through the Alex Mason series, I continue to find actions & ideas to praise. In book #6, I was surprised to discover the ultimate villain which is worthy of praise! I continue to like Mason and Gallin's relationship and I still am glad to read criticism of political deviance and Wokism.
One of the better Alex Mason. Good quick moving mystery. Too bad for Helen she had the moral foundation of the typical corrupt politician. As President she would have fit the position perfectly.
This was a great next chapter in Alex Mason series. A really great plot which was secretly devised by Senator Troy. But Alex and his counter part solved the mystery not before some killing was done. Great stuff. 10 stars plus !!!!! Thanks, Carl Clause
They all deliver superbly: the plot, the characters, the writing. A fun and clever political thriller that captures the Washington, DC swamp in all its sliminess.
Great Tale with a Real Whodunit All the Way to the End!
Intrigue, espionage & murder that is a direct follow-up to the suitcase story. You will need to read it first to completely understand this story. It'll be worth it if you do.
Action, suspense, international spooks, this has it all. A well written story that keeps you reading with great characters and a plot that is hard to figure until the very end.
I enjoyed Alex Mason and Aila in this book and have since ordered more in this series. The tales are a little more restrained and realistic than some others in this genre and I found it hard to put down.
Actually executive order has humor and plot twists that keep the reader engaged. Archer and Banner make a great writing team. I admire the Imagination and great writing skills that goes into their stories. Good job.
So much action and funny remarks from the main 2 characters Captains Mason and Gallon. The dynamic duo!! They solve the case together, they get to the truth. Can't put these books down till the end and can't wait for the next one!
Great story really enjoyed it from front to back looking forward to the next one in this series. Blake Banner and David Archer are great exciting authors and its fun when they team up together.
I don’t like political dramas, I said…but I really liked this! I got a little tangled up with the many minor characters, but the plot development was really great.
Good read but sometimes Alex seems to pull out solutions when the evidence has not been presented to the reader. Seems to be out of nowhere. Like the interaction between Alex and the Mossad female spy. Wlf
This book had many twists and turns leaving me on the edge of my seat. Couldn't figure it out until the very end. Had parts of it but couldn't put it all together. Excellent book.
Great story and probably somewhat true where USA politics and Russia are concerned. I just hope that Americans could realize what our government has come to and we get leadership by very responsible people in power!
Such an amazing book, the plot has so many twists and turns it is hard to keep everything straight. Then, just when you think you have it figured out, bam you are hit with another curveball!
Fabulous book! It’ an excellent continuation of the Russian storyline. It has a great plot that holds together. I’m downloading book 7 now. Buy book 6, you’ll love it.
‘Executive Order’ was fantastic. The riveting plot involved suspense, tension, action, intrigue, mayhem, humor, snarky dialogue, a hint of romance, and a couple of twists. Oh my! Overall, I liked the thrilling narrative.
Well patience paid off. After reading book 1 I felt this series had potential. I was right. Character development, excellent storyline. I'm officially a fan. Great read.
