Ellen lives in a small town in New England, between the Atlantic Ocean and the White Mountains. She lives with her husband, two sons, and one very spoiled puppy princess.
Ellen writes in the early morning hours before her family wakes up. When she's not writing, you can find her spending time with her family, gardening with her puppy and chickens, or headed to the beach. She loves summer and flip-flops, running on a dirt country road, and a sweet love song.
All of her stories are clean romances where families are close, neighbors are nosy, and the couples are destined for each other.

I love these books. In fact, I almost ever read book after book in a series, but that’s exactly what I’m doing with these. I love how the characters from one book just continue into the next even though the story centers around a different character. In this case it’s the youngest daughter Samantha. She’s dumped by her Scottish boyfriend for money to save his ancestral home. To make matters worse every one thinks she stalking him and it destroys her career. Like her sister she comes to her mother. Of course she finds love. This is a romance after all. It’s clean and just a beautiful story.
Another great book by Ellen Joy in the Cliffside Point series. It was so good to catch up with the characters from the previous books. Rene's bakery is a huge success and Charlie's books are selling fast in this beautiful new coffee shop. So much happened with Samantha, Wanda, Marti and the hunky new man, Chase and his daughter Dahlia. It wasn't a sad book, but I got a bit emotional in parts of the book, probably because they feel like family, even though it wasn't a sad book. I love how friends become family - so much to take away from this series. To find out more, get the book and start reading - I appreciate that it's a clean read. I received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Book three Samantha finds love. I have noticed some mistakes in this series when she goes to the collage to look around and meet was it a man or woman you had he and she in one sentence. Also past conversation comes up again but the information is new to the characters even though that talked of it before.need better editing that's why marked down I liked chase the men they get with in this series for life are all very sweet, the past loves you just hate men and women tanya, harry,Hamish and Grace all bad.
I absolutely loved "Sugar Beach Sunsets" by Ellen Joy. This series has been the perfect summer read for me. The setting is an ideal backdrop to sitting out on my porch with a cool breeze, transporting myself to the island, and sitting side by side with these characters as their stories play out in this well-written 3rd book in a must-read series. This author has the amazing talent of writing such engaging characters that you can't help but feel like they are real people and you are experiencing the story in real-time. This was a fun continuation of where the 2nd book left off. There were moments in the beginning when I was convinced I could tell how the story would evolve - yet I was so wrong. Many laughs and tears later - I was wrong... but I enjoyed the journey getting to the end of the book. I cannot wait for the next book to see what happens next and sadly - I'm already mourning the end of this series. However - I know this amazing author will keep giving us great stories to read - so - if you are looking for a great series to add to your book collection - this book, series, and author is a must-have! Happy Reading...enjoy!

I loved this story about Evelyn's youngest daughter, Samantha.
The story set-up: She's a famous vlogger with a huge following. She lived in Scotland for almost a year and fell in love with Laird Hamish MacPhearson of MacPhearson castle. He also fell in love with her. Then his mother died and with no money, he decided to break it off with Samantha so he could marry Lady Penelope who bring enough money into the marriage to save his ancestral home. Brokenhearted, Samantha moved on with her life. When an assignment lands her back in London, she sees the couple across the street, holding hands, and stops dead in the middle of the street lost in her own thoughts. Where is hit by a car and ends up in the hospital. As she's loaded in the ambulance, Hamish asks her why she was there and was she stalking them? This hits the papers and she's made out to be some crazy stalker ex who can't leave him and his new wife alone. Her career is ruined as the media runs with that story. She decides to go back home for a while and lie low.
Anything more would be spoilers, so you'll just have to read this to see what happens to Samantha.

I really liked reading this new book in the Cliffside Point series so I could catch up with the characters. There was a lot to catch up on too. This book focused on Samanmtha returning to Martha's Vineyard after Hamkish married someone else. Her mom and sister lived there. Samantha was devastated, hurt, and at a crossroads with her vlogging career. I liked how her family, her mom's home, Sea View, and the ocean seemed to heal her heart and she could find what would truly make her happy. It was fun watching her character grow while I was reading. I also liked her new romance. It seems love is in the ocean breeze. This book had some twists and turns and a few surprises along the way. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
What a great book!! I absolutely loved it. Samantha comes home after being hit by a bus and called a stalker. She meets Chase who was her celebrity crush when she was younger. So much went on in this book sickness, changing lifestyle, a wedding and finding love. Once you start reading you can't put it down. I love Ellen Joy's stories and eagerly await Harper's book. If you like sweet clean romances you need to check out Ellen's books.
I was given this advanced copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
Sugar Beach Sunsets has so many exciting moments from all the different characters that we have come back from the previous books in the series. Samantha gets to find her happily ever after while mixed in with the drama of family. She gets so lost but is able to overcome her insecurities with her career along with the people from her past. Ellen Joy brings the past books to bulk this one up. Those are definitely must-reads before this one. Samantha could have used a little more limelight as this is her book but it is still is a really nice read.
I read this one in a day. I am thoroughly enjoying Ellen Joy's Cliffside series. This one was about Evelyn's daughter, Samantha, and her own love story. Samantha was not my favorite character heading into this book, but she did grow on me as the story progressed. Ellen does a great job with character development and as Samantha's character grew, she grew on me as well. Another light romance that was as enjoyable as the first two. I will keep reading Cliffside Point. I am so glad there are a bunch of these. Thanks, Ellen!
I have enjoyed each book in this series. The characters and real life story is about family, finding one's self, learning to accept the difference of each family member, and moving forward. Great plots and each character has their own life lessons and learning to move forward. Can't wait until the fourth book! Ellen Joy is a master story teller. Recommend all her books.
Samantha really feels her life is a mess and she hopes things will get better when she is with her family and friends. When she meets Chase she discovers new opportunities and inner strengths she didn't know she had. I enjoyed reading about Wanda, Bitty, Evelyn, Rennie and the rest of interesting residents of Cliffside Point.
This series is taking hold of me. The loves that are so meaningful and the relationships that needed closure are so important in this book. Seeing how hard it is for someone to see the love starring then right on the face and not accept it as well as turning down love that really never was. Enjoy!
More than one story in an interesting plot, with characters that are well written and nicely developed, and more than one POV that wasn’t confusing. Also, the romance needs more emotions, I liked how clean it was and wasn’t about physical attraction, but couldn’t feel the connection between the characters. All in all, it was a nice roller coaster ride of events.
I never know what to say about the books I read. I'm afraid I'll give away too much info. I'll just say I am totally loving this series. I love a great romance, and so far, I've not been disappointed! Can't wait for the Harper's story!
Samatha’s story was even better than I imagined….right down to the ending!! It feels like I’m right there with them on the beach and part of the big happy family!
I am enjoying this story series and the characters. There is nothing like a good story about life and the love of New friendships. This book gives readers something to grab a hold of and get sweeper away. What a delightful read.
Is it possible that Samantha is beginning to figure out her future in this series? Life is tough for everyone and all of these friends are very important to each other. Ellen, great job!
