What would you do if a savage raised you? For three sisters Raven, Mya, and Star life was not easy, and growing up with Sheila as a mother was pure hell. When we think of a mother we always think of that protector over her children. That was not the case with Sheila, no she was a brutal and a cruel savage, who only thought of herself, her man, drugs, and her money.
Neglecting her girls along the way and exposing them to things no child should have to witness. Life was a nightmare for Raven who just wanted to save herself and her sisters from their own mother. She was forced to start stealing just to be able to take care of her sisters. Mya and Star's survival came down to their big sister Raven. After all their mother could care less about them as long as they stayed out of her way.
Life finally started to turn when their estranged Aunt Sydney had to come to their rescue, showing them what a true definition of a woman and mother was. Although Sydney was Sheila's sister sharing the same womb, they were as different as night and day. Sydney appeared to have it all going for her with the ideal family with the huge home full of love. However, her world was crashing fast around her, and she would soon find out just how close.
Would Sydney be able to keep it together and give Raven, Mya, and Star the life they deserved, or would she break under pressure?
Meanwhile Raven was starting to experience life no longer having the stress of worrying about her sisters now that they were staying with Sydney. She started to let loose more and more meeting Marshawn "Murda" Richardson. Being 7 years Raven Senior would he run circles around the lost abused girl, who never knew what real love was or would he show her what a real man was about. Raven deserved love; she deserved it all however that only happens in true fairytales.
Would Raven break the cycle that appeared to be a generational curse handed down generations? Or would she become a product of her environment and get lost chasing after the money and over looking love?
First time reading a Leo Angel book and will definitely read more. This book was intriguing. Sheila was a horrible mother, but tried to redeem herself at the end. I figured Chris was Raven's dad. So ready for part 2
The beginning of an 9h so tumultuous emotional series. I was taken aback by the betrayals and abuse that the children encountered. One cl8ck for an exceptional read. Besides the grammatical errors this is definitely a five star banger.
Man this book is sooooo good!!!!!! Never a dull moment Shelia need her seriously beat! She put them girls though hell. I am so glad that Sydney got then because Raven deserved to be a teenager. I am telling everybody about this book!!!!!~!! No
Whew boy I tell ya!! I'm sure glad I joined this author's Facebook reading group. I don't want to ever miss a book by her again!! This author is a beast with her writing. She is for sure my kind of author 😍😘 The drama...oh the drama! I don't even know where to start. I have never had a book leave me speechless before. I most definitely can't believe Chris. I can't believe nobody in this book except Sydney, Raven, and her sisters. Other than that I am appalled! Let me gone head on to book 2. Don't y'all sleep on Leo Angel 🥰
So all this time he knew Raven was his daughter D is real low down for having Raven kidnapped Shelia glad you have turned your life around and admitted to your wicked ways Sydney done found her a real man
Why Chris is the green eyed monster that took a 11 yr old virginity. Why didn't Shelia just off him when she saw him. All the big bad ass shit she been talking. That's the one time she should have acted them told her story afterwards. That shit been causing problems for years. Which mean she older than all her brothers except one. He plotted on her and knew who she was when he did it. Omg he really the damn devil.
From start to finish I was so glued into the book definitely keeps u guessing on what’s going to happen next a great read and would definitely recommend this new author to anyone I look forward to seeing what Ms Leo Angel is gong to bring in the future n I’ll definitely be here for the ride 🥰🥰
This was a good read. I was so happy when Sydney came into the girls lives, even as hers was falling apart. Her husband is sick in the head, and I can’t wait for him to get what he deserves.Sheila is something else, I wanted to fight her the whole book, but I’m glad she is getting herself together. Childhood trauma is real
First time reading a book by this author. I loved the storyline but so many errors made it hard to read. It took me longer than normal to get through a book of this size bc I had to keep rereading passages or just closed it out. I'm not sure what editing service was used but they did not do the book/author justice with their subpar services. I am still looking forward to part 2 bc that was just too much drama to leave me hanging like that!!!
This book here.... is a must read loved the characters the plot and structure. Well written and engaging. Worth the second part awaiting the continuation from a newly converted urban reader.
