Hiro is a hero!

Hiro is the quiet, serious one, he suffers with trauma, as most of the team do, but running with Bailey is his escape. He may not be quite as Alpha as Damien and some of the other guys but he is still a protector, which is exactly what Trista needs. She however is in denial, she has the biggest heart and is a sucker for a wounded animal, but she judges everyone by her standards and fails to see the dark and corrupt side of people.
Trista needs Hiro and Bailey to keep her safe, but they need her just as much. The unconditional acceptance and love between Hiro, Trista, Bailey and Teddy is beautiful to see and they make a very cute family.
I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

This is book 6 in the Mont Blanc Rescue series and is Hiro, Trista and Bailey (Hiro's dog) story. It's well written with a lot of action, suspense, intrigue, danger and some hot scenes and great characters, which all ends in a HEA. I enjoyed reading this book and series, it can be read as a standalone but is best read in order to get the full impacted of the characters in this series. I am looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Hiro and his team at the PGHM have been called out for a freak accident. The ski instructor was telling them that everything was going great until the six-year-old girl just disappeared from sight.

She had fallen into a drainage hole that would normally be covered in snow and ice, but due to the unusually warm April day the ice had thinned and the small child slipped through. Their pilot Kat was the only one on the team who could fit through the drain hole and she said the girl, Stephi, was not there and seemed to have traveled down another drain pipe.

Hiro told their boss Damien that he and his search and rescue dog Bailey would head down the slope where the exit drain was located and along with his teammate Gael they took off following Bailey's lead.

Trista was excitedly waiting for her last vet appointment for the day. Bailey was a gorgeous Dutch Shepherd who was brought into her clinic a few months earlier after being shot by the crazed man trying to kill Diana.

She didn't notice Bailey's handler until she returned to the reception area and found a breathtaking man surrounded by his colleagues praying that Bailey had made it through her surgery.

WOW! I both loved and hated this book! It is very well written and the characters are amazingly relatable which is where the hate comes in. Hiro's story is the last of his team and I so fell in love with these guys. They are like family now.

This series focuses around a search and rescue team located Chamonix in the French Alps and is full of action, intrigue, suspense and life-threatening danger. And did I mention smoking hot sexual chemistry?

Even though their chemistry is over the charts both Hiro and Trista are leery of getting serious. Hiro has learned the hard way the pain and loss the family members of men in his dangerous job suffer from and is determined that he not put a woman through that pain.

Trista is determined to prove to her parents that she doesn't need their support and is totally focused on her vet practice and her new expansion and doesn't need any distractions.

Although this book can be read as a standalone novel, I highly recommend that you start with book one in this series as the characters are recurring and fully invested in each other's story. Not only does this author have gripping stories that will keep you on the edge of your seat her characters feel like family.

I cannot recommend this book/series and JR Pace enough! I look forward to reading Beau's story and hope that his team will also get their stories told!

Mountain Secret is Hiro and Trista’s story. Hiro is a member of the Chamonix Peloton de Gendarmerie de Haute Montagne (PGHM), and Trista is an American veterinarian, who has recently moved to the area to run her own practice. They meet when Trista treats Hiro’s dog, Bailey, after Bailey is injured on the job. I liked both Hiro and Trista – I admired their work ethic, and their determination to serve and assist others. They both have backgrounds that keep them from wanting to develop close relationships, but it is apparent from their first meeting that they are interested in each other. The story takes a darker turn when Trista starts being threatened, first through acts of vandalism, then with incidents of violence. The problem is that Trista has no idea why anyone might want to cause her harm. I was so into the story that I couldn’t put the book down! The atmosphere is very tense and suspenseful, but Hiro is constantly there for Trista, and so is the team at PGHM. I love how everyone works together, and if you’ve read the previous books in this series you’ll enjoy how close all of the PGHM team members are, and how they are all one big family. I highly recommend this book! I received an ARC copy, but the feelings expressed are solely my own.

This story started out strong, and kept my attention all the way through. It’s the second one I’ve read in this series, and I really enjoyed it.
Stemming from an incident in his past Hiro holds himself back from people, even some of his team. The only thing he has a close connection to is his dog, and maybe the Vet that has been treating him.
Trista left home in the USA for a new start, to somewhere that she hopes she’s appreciated. Her Vet practice is doing well, and hopefully her new Behavioural Rehabilitation centre will too. For her Hiro, and his dog are one of the highlights in her day. If only she could stop thinking of him as more than a client.
Hiro likes Trista, and offers to partner up with her for a forth coming endurance race. It’s not long before the two act on the chemistry between them, though both holding back because of past hurts. However, it soon becomes obvious that someone doesn’t want Trista to stay. These two will have a fight on their hands if they are to get a HEA.
This storyline flowed well, and had you connect to the characters easily. It has a good twist at the end that you don’t see coming, which provides a bit of edge of your seat reading.

I really enjoy this series and was looking forward to Hiros. The quiet one, the stoic one which always makes us wonder. Hiro and Dr Peaches (ha how cute is that) delivered on many levels. The mystery caught me out of the blue, their individual personalities were likeable and together they sat te oages on fire. Too often for me, I was looking for my story line and had to keep looking for it. When it was there it was on point, poignant, and touched me and intrigued me. There were some intense scenes, some heart warming with what a vet goes through assisting her customers 4 legged and two, heart wrenching with animal abuse which is a sad fact of life. The ending where they are in peril made me stutter a bit. I am thrilled that next we will hear about Beau and his group. Didn't want to say goodbye to Mont Blanc. Thank you for the arc. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions. #mountainsecret #montblancrescue #jrpace #booksprout

Wow. This was a really good read, one that continues with characters we already know and love, but can be loved even without having read any previous stories in the series. I have always loved Hiro and his K9 partner, Bailey. Now we get to meet a passionate vet that is his perfect match. But the road to love isn't easy. Neither of them were looking for a relationship, let alone planning to fall in love. At the same time, they had been falling for each other since they first met (months before this book starts). And when things start happening that are increasing threats to Trista, they have so much more than their relationship to worry about. Their love is strong and beautiful in the end. The struggle to survive was heart wrenching and I couldn't put the book down by that point (really, a little before that).

When vet, Trista Davis finished emergency surgery on his Dutch Shepherd, Bailey, her scent made PGHM Rescuer Hiro Habu think of her as Dr. Peaches, he mentally fought with himself about caring for her. Trista realized she looked forward to Bailey’s rehab to see Hiro as much as Bailey. Just talking, Trista mentions she’s disappointed not to participate in an upcoming mountain race because her partner got injured. Hiro hurriedly blurts he’ll partner and train her. They get close.

Trista’s ecstatic over her good fortune, her dream guy, resisting her parent’s demands and her dream project of an animal rehab center becoming a reality! Just then, Trista’s life spins and she has no idea who or why the center is suddenly a target with graffiti on the walls, break-ins, broken windows, etc. Trista insists she has no enemies as an attempt is made on her life!

After Bailey, Hiro’s K9 is shot and Trista, his vet get to know each other over the months of Bailey’s recovery, they both have an attraction that neither can deny anymore once they start training together for a marathon. And when strange occurrences start to happen at her clinic, which scares both of them, Hiro will do whatever it takes to protect the woman he has fallen for….no matter the cost.
A great read with suspense, steam, great characters and even though this is part of a series, I did not feel lost. The descriptions were spot on, feeling like I was in the middle of everything and I loved the no drama between them.

This is the sixth book in the Mont Blanc Rescue series. It reads well as a standalone but it is connected to the other books in the series. I recommend the whole series if you are a lover of romantic suspense. Hiro made the decision to avoid serious relationships due to the dangerous nature of his job but he feels drawn to Trista the veterinarian that saved his dog Bailey's life. I enjoyed watching Hiro and Trista more from friendship to lovers. Hiro's protective of Trista but he doesn't try to control her. The book has enough heat between the two of them and storyline that will keep you turning the pages. Great addition to the series.

Hiro and his team PGHM along with Bailey rescues people in the mountains and caves. When Bailey had been injured Dr. Peaches had taken care of him and his rehabilitation. There is a chemistry between Hiro and Dr. Peaches..
Trista has always been a people pleaser. Leaving her American life behind she travels to France to open her Behavioral Rehabilitation Center for animals.
When threats and vandalism to Trista's vet clinic arise Hiro takes action for her safety.
As danger approaches Teddy, Hiro and Trista are fighting for their lives.
Action packed drama, mystery, suspense, danger, steamy scenes and romance.

She does it again:
Well the author has hit it out of the park once again! Every book is unique and each time I am convinced that it is my favourite of the lot!
It was wonderful being back with the team in Charmonix and I was especially excited to discover more about Hiro and his Search and Rescue dog Bailey. Trista was really sweet and I thought they made a lovely couple. I liked that they approached their relationship maturely and there wasn't any unnecessary angst or drama. The situation that they found themselves up against felt plausible and I enjoyed the suspense surrounding this. I look forward to meeting more team members in the upcoming books.

Hiro and Trista are both solely focused on their work but for different reasons, however the sparks between them since Trista treated and help save Bailey and Hiro can't help but step in to help her when she needs a running partner. I just loved and how they fumble and are a bit awkward with how they feel about each other, but you see straight away they are perfect for each other as do those around them, but unfortunately for both Trista is being targeted but why and by who they don't know. This has the perfect mix of attraction, learning to open up to love and what hurt them, danger, laughter, a few heart stopping moments (the one towards the end had me in an absolute panic!) and I loved seeing old and new friends of Chamonix.

This is the 6th book in the Mountain Secret series and while this can be read as a standalone I believe you would be far better read if you read all the books in order. This is Trista (vet) and Hiro's (dog handler) story. He is the handler for this search and rescue team in the French alps. He meets Trista when she treats his dog Bailey for a gunshot wound that happened during a mission. Their attraction is instant but both have one or two hang up that need to be sorted. But when Trista vet practice is vandalized and then she is threatened He goes into complete protection mode! What happens next, well you will have to read to find out.

🐕‍🦺🏔️Where's the connection, the spark? Nothing special or heartfelt going on in their relationship.

🐕‍🦺🏔️Seriously bitch?😒 I despise a idiot fmc. She knows she's being stalked/hunted. She promised Hiro she'll be in his house locked and secured. She still goes out to walk a dog without telling him who was worried sick.

🐕‍🦺🏔️Such stupid reason for wanting to kill someone. And someone trained and professional whatever like Hiro can't disarm someone with a gun?

🐕‍🦺🏔️Never wanted to slap a fmc for being this...self centered? Idiotic? She didn't even check on him for wounds when the bullets started flying. I know I should see the bigger picture and plot conveniences but these small things bother me.

🐕‍🦺🏔️So Trista's issues with her parents were non-existent?

3.5 stars. So I’m really excited to learn that this series will continue with another team of people that we’ve had some little insights to so far. This wasn’t my favorite book in the series, but still pretty good. I feel like that stars of this book were Teddy and Bailey. Teddy for sure has the most character development and personality. Hiro and Trista’s relationship seemed very one sided with not much chemistry. The spicy scenes together were really basic and awkward. The ending did get better and had lots of thrills so overall I enjoyed it. I’m very much looking forward to Beau’s story! I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy, thanks Hidden Gems.

4.5 stars.

I am so pleased that Hiro and Bailey have got their HEA, I have always liked them and this book gave me the chance to get to know them in a deeper way. I loved the connection and chemistry between Hiro and Trisha, I believed in it and enjoyed seeing them get to where they both wanted to be, together. I really liked how strong their connection was, no matter what life threw at them, they stood together through it all. As usual I loved catching up with everyone, to see how life was going for them and to see the way they supported, accepted and loved one another. I love this series. This is Book 6 of The Mont Blac Series and does not disappoint!

This story follows Hiro and Trista. As a fan of this series I have been anxiously waiting for Hiro’s story and am so happy with how it turned out. Hiro is a strong and silent hero and Bailey’s handler(his mountain rescue dog). Trista is a new vet in town who saved Bailey’s life. Their love is a slow burn and heartwarming to read. The book has all the action and adventure we’ve come to expect from this series with the perfect amount of romance and heat.

Bailey, Hiro and Trista’s action-packed story

I hang my head in shame, I read this book quite a while ago, but, thanks to loadshedding (aka rolling blackouts), I forgot to post my review.

Hiro & his dog, Bailey have taken to keeping appointments with Trista (the vet) even though Bailey is 100%. Trista is new in town and has started a Behavioural Rehabilitation Centre, unfortunately there is someone out there who does not want Trista there.

As always, I learnt from this series of books, quite a bit about mountain rescue particularly the K9 approach

Loved Hiro, Bailey and Trista’s book. Hiro and Bailey’s job is search and rescue in the unforgiving mountains. Trista is a Veterinarian who is new to Mt Blanc. She recently had to work hard to save Bailey from a gun shot wound. Suddenly, danger is escalating around Trista and the animals she’s trying to help. There’s lots of suspense, action, and romance. I happily received a complimentary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I very much look forward to reading more of JR Paces’s books.

This is Book 6 of Mont Blanc Rescue the story of Trista and Hiro. and his Dog Bailey. This one will have you laughing, crying, screaming in horror and in joy just not at the same time, hot and bothered too along with annoyed too. I loved how well this story flows and the danger is a mystery with drama and horror all mixed into one punch. I can not wait for the next alpha man to meet his head strong feisty match of a woman. I loved how well these two are paired together.

Another awesome addition to the series. I love the story. Trista is a recovering people pleaser and is making a fresh start in France, opening an animal clinic and canine behavioral rehab facility. She doesn't have time for anything else. Shortly after opening she receives threats to leave. HIro work with Mount Rescue and with his dog Bailey. Bailey was injured on a mission and Trista is her vet. HIro is interested in Trista and he vows to protect her when things get dicey.

Trista runs a veterinarian clinic in the beautiful mountains of France. Hiro is part of the Mont Blanc Rescue Team. Deep feelings and plenty of steam ignite when these two start up a relationship, from doing a night-time mountain run to helping each other survive situations. Loved the characters, the dogs and the close friends who have their backs. Plenty of drama, danger, secrets, revelations, fun banter, rescues and much more. Totally hooked on this series and hope the next one is out soon.

Hiro works alongside Bailey his dog as part of the search and rescue team. He is well loved by their team and their other halves but quite closed off after a tragedy in his past. After Bailey is injured he has frequent appointments at the local vets where he meets Trista. As their relationship slowly develops so do the dangers to her. A good story with great characters, lots of mountain action and some awesome dogs. I received an early copy from the author and my review is voluntary.

What a great series!
As usual I was almost immediately pulled into the story and didn’t want to put it down until the very end, not even then. The suspense and danger pull the reader into the story, and then it is somewhat eased with the romantic elements. Note: This is a good read even if you haven’t been able to read the previous books.

How can you not love a book featuring two heroic dogs? Combine it with outstanding scenery, an alpha book boyfriend, a caring vet that lives to save animals and suspense that will keep you enthralled until the last page. I have been following this series from the beginning and Pace is able to provide epic visuals of the town, French Alps and the dangerous conditions and perils which confront her characters. Fantastic series and Mountain Secret is another hit from this talented author.

I didn’t know this author but I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this book. I’ll now go back and read the first 5. This story is the 6th book in this author’s The Mont Blac Series and it follows Hiro and Trista. He’s this strong and silent type of man and his dog, Bailey’s his mountain rescue dog. Trista is a new vet in town who saved Bailey’s life. That is how their story starts and you’ll love it.
