The Flirtation Equation is about Kate, a scientist, who is bad at flirting, and after being traumatized while in college, she never flirted again. But with the help of her dominant partner, Vincent, they decide to test out her flirting—can she do it?

One thing I haven’t read before is how the POV’s changed faster in just one chapter; and I thought it was fun to read from both Kate and Vincent’s POV right away, than waiting for the next chapter before the switch. This element made it all the more enjoyable to read.

And the smut. Oh how I liked it. Even though the kink is not something I would do myself, it was fascinating to read about. I liked how Kate and Vincent was so safe and sure about each other to try voyeurism with other people, and how they solved the ‘problem’ at the end. It’s the kind of growth we like to see! Communication really is the key to success.

The writing was (as always) on point, and the scenes was amazingly written. I can’t wait to read more from EM Wooley!

ARC provided by the author through email and the bookfunnel app. Thank you so much for the opportunity to read your book, E.M. Wooley!

Vincent and Kate have been seeing each other for a couple of years. Kate is a scientist and Vincent is her boss.Their work relationship is boss/employee. Their personal relationship is Dom/Submissive. Vincent is becoming disillusioned by their romance because as Kate's Dom, he needs to give Kate what she wants or needs but she's not voicing them. Kate believes she can't say what she wants because she had a disastrous episode of flirting at school leaving her to think she's not pretty or sexy enough
and too much of a nerd to flirt. Vincent suggests an experiment at a bar to prove she beautiful and very capable of being sexy.
I loved this charming and witty book. A must read.

I received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Huge thank you to E.M. Wooley for allowing me to have this ARC. I am very quickly falling in love with this author and their writing.

Kate and Vincent are the ultimate couple. They accept each other as they are, but still want to push them to be their absolute best. For these two, that isn’t only meaning sexually. It’s getting Kate to vocalize her needs. The writing style and storytelling in this novella are so vivid that the reader can easily put themselves into either Kate or Vincent’s perspective, which is another thing that I adore about this story; you get to have both character’s point of view and it is done so marvelously! I can not wait to see what Wooley comes out with next.

Loved this one!

I generally struggle with single-story erotica (when I read this genre it's almost exclusively short story collections) but this author does a great job writing single story books with a limited number of characters that still grab and hold your attention.

This one is pretty tame by erotica standards (That's probably an insult for writers in this genre but I mean it in the best way! :), so it's a great book for anyone who enjoys a spicey story but doesn't want the crass, aggressively vulgar that seems to be a staple for some writers. It would also be a great intro for someone who is new to the genre. With this book you'll get some situations that are probably more risqué than most people actually pursue in real life, but not so over the top that it's unbelievable that normal people might go there.

I just really enjoy the readability of this author's books. They're quick and entertaining reads that are definitely NSFW without making you feel disgusting for reading. Highly recommended across the board. Many thanks to the author for the advance copy!

A quick read that starts a bit slow like at the beginning of a roller coaster, the incline that leads to a curve and then…the big 75feet fall.

That’s what it felt like reading this book.

Kate and Vincent are dating. He’s her Dom and she’s the submissive, but Vincent is having trouble reading Kate and what her needs are, because she can not vocalize them.

When Kate comes up with an idea to practice flirting and make a science project out of it, Vincent is on board and will help Kate succeed.

This book was good, hot, sexy and kept me entertained!

Thank you to E. M. Wooley for the opportunity to read this arc novella! Can’t wait for more by this author.

An author to keep your eyes on for "smut"! I didn't read this in time when the author sent me a link to review, but Kindle had it and I quickly set to work and finished it in a night. Honestly almost gave it 4 stars only because it was so short! What I love about this author's characters is that there is trust amongst between the parties and there isn't a weird deception that comes in. This tale was definitely a safe and sexual exploration with a trusting partner and that is just such a breath of fresh air. You get all the sex and all the safety without the weird shame of sexual exploration. Will happily read more!

This was absolutely fantastic!

You won't be disappointed when you read this, I promise you that. Yes, it's slow in the beginning but it definitely picks up and then it becomes hard to put down in my opinion. This is a must read!

I want to thank the author for letting me read this for her. I enjoyed this book a lot and loved the chemistry between Vincent and Kate. I dont always read erotica but I really love E.M. Wooley books. This author is now officially one of my favorites and I'm excited to see what book she writes next.

After reading Summer’s Slumber I was super excited when the the author reached out to me about this one, and I have to say I was NOT disappointed! This book is a little bit more than Summer’s Slumber was with kink and content but let me tell you it was good. It’s set up like a scientific based research paper and the story follows a research pattern- and follows essentially the whims of two scientists. There’s a little bit (okay a lot) of voyeurism and some Dom/Sub lite. 10/10 I will probably read this again at some point.

I had the absolute pleasure of reading this book a few weeks before its release and I immensely enjoyed this little treasure.

Kate is a somewhat socially awkward scientist who admits to her dominant partner after a few too many drinks that she would love to dip her toe into the waters of voyeurism and multiple partners. So, The Flirtation Experiment is born. Kate goes out and pushes her boundaries, all under Vincent's watchful eye and a series of wonderfully spicy scenes follow!

A brilliant, quick read with some lovely spice. Engaging and exciting. Highly recommend!

The flirtation equation describes a dom/sub relationship in which the main character (Kate) needs to voice all her needs and desires to her partner (Vincent). This book will take you through the rollercoaster of this experiment that Kate and Vincent have thought out. Eventually it is all about the right equation to make everything work.

Follow the science! Creating hypotheses and running an experiment all in the name of science is something I can get behind. Especially the one created by Kate Morgan who is challenged to explore her fantasies. This delightful erotica is about a woman who experienced a trauma-defining moment in her youth and continues to suffer from it, unknowingly. Luckily, her boyfriend, Vincent is there to help her through all of it.
