Virgin Game

Rate this book
River and Ryder are beautiful, buff, Ken-doll-like twins…who love each other more than brothers should. Their taboo relationship turned sexual years ago and were it not for the fact that they’re both total bottoms, they’d be completely monogamous. They want each other and no one else. But there just doesn’t seem to be any hope for them.

With a summer trip to a gay resort, River and Ryder make it a mission to expand their sexual adventures, one hookup at a time. It’ll be the first time they share themselves with others.

The first contender to take both their butt virginities is a hot and beefy ginger jock who is more than willing to make his own incestuous fantasy come true. He’s not just big all around, but down there as well.

Painfully so.

I am a gay male author who writes gay fiction with taboo themes. More specifically, I write about love, sex, and drama between brothers and male cousins, exclusively for an adult audience of 18 and older.

I write taboo fiction because it appeals to a lot of readers. I have always been interested in writing scandalous stories and trashy soaps. Star-crossed lovers and family secrets are favorite tropes of mine, and adding taboo to the mix heightens the conflict. Brothers and cousins are never supposed to fall in love, but some of them do, and they either do something about it or simply move on with their separate lives.

There were several reasons this short piece of taboo erotica was not really effective:
1. One of the twins sounded and acted a lot younger than his actual age. Being a shy virgin does not equal acting childlike and naive. The bold twin was more believable as a horny twenty years old virgin.
2. Declarations of mutual eternal devotion are really out of context (and quite rude) in the middle of a hookup with a third. I get that Chris was really into the taboo sexually, but even he might have felt mildly insulted (or insecure).
3. Actually, the entire interaction between the twins and Chris was unbelievable because he was just too damn perfect, physically and mentally. He's written like the perfect tool for his mission, not as a realistic attractive man with a kink. I didn't want him to be a jerk - I wanted him to feel real, with agenda of his own that does not necessarily align all the time with the twins.
4. The entire discussion of sexual roles was shallow and immature. Example? If there's no intention to deal with the subject seriously the best altitude would have been to omit the discussion.
