Glamorous magazine editor Helen Woodley has been hired as the new head honcho of magazine Australian Life, and she needs a new feature idea to send the magazine rocketing back up the popularity stakes - fast. But she had no idea how successful her new campaign would be. Who knew that if the country's lovelorn single farmers were profiled each week, readers would queue up to date them? Soon rural romances are all the rage - but among the haystacks and the pitchforks, a lot of people (and Helen herself) are about to find out that the course of true love ain't ever smooth...

I really enjoyed it. I found it a little predictable, however, it was an easy, uncomplicated read that put a smile on my face!!

Kein Fake

Looks like a good book. Story is catching up... I'm having a bit of hard time from keeping track of all the characters, but i can see that Janet Gover is quickly becoming my fav authors..

You crave for the one that you didn't get
"You crave for the one that you didn't get"
This would be how you summarize Janet Gover's 'The Farmer Needs a Wife'. Delightful debt novel, a slightly different for the usual 'chic-lit' category. 'The farmer' is a story or rather four stories revolving around a single campaign by magazine "Australian Life".

Let’s meet the protagonists on my personal blog

What happens when Australian Life magazine runs a false about hunky farmers needing wives? Well matchmaking and coupledom for all those selected, men and women!

"The Farmer Needs a Wife" is a brilliant multi-arc story that packs a wallop! Janet Gover writes a complicated story that seamlessly integrates the numerous main characters. It's easy to follow and feels like the book is much longer than 300 some pages. "The Farmer Needs a Wife" is Janet Gover's debut book and its a wonderful book!
