Heart-pounding romance. Unforgettable heroes. Sizzling happily-ever-afters—with a side of suspense that'll keep you up way past bedtime.

I dreamed of being a writer as a kid but took the "safe" route: journalism degree, advertising career, MBA, corporate gigs at Chase and Universal. Then in 2020, I said screw it and published my first book. Twenty-five books later, I'm living the dream.

I'm also a mom to two teenage daughters who are perpetually mortified by my career choices. My husband's an entrepreneur whose latest product is Nampons (yes, it rhymes with tampons and yes, it's for nosebleeds). Between my spicy romance and his biz... we've cornered the market on parental embarrassment.

My books feature tough characters facing tougher choices, compelling suspense, and storylines that'll make you think. But no matter how dark things get, my people always choose love.

Five Reads for One Price…

Collection of stories like these often provide overlapping characters or connected friends or sibling stories which makes the world very familiar, à la soap opera. The strength to this collection is the first story, the longest, and best developed.

The tropes of romances play out with perhaps one too many on-off starts after misunderstandings and spats, but the intrigue of a stalker pursuing a tech CEO and company founder just too ensnaring.

Recommend taking time, reading one and then breaking* before starting the next. They do get shorter and the last story is a holiday romance. This might be best enjoyed during Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

A series that's a little hard to review, since it's packaged various ways, and the titles of some stories change. For example, "Walk the Dog" is "Finding Delilah" in my edition.

As for the stories, most of the characters are wealthy, very wealthy, or extremely wealthy, and there's much dropping of shoe and clothing brands, and fancy restaurants. Are they real? I don't know. I like a break from small town stories, so the urban settings are appreciated, but when a character turns her nose up at the lack of an ensuite bathroom in her new boyfriend's apartment, I start to think these people are too sophisticated for me to care about. A couple of club scenes, some heavy drinking, and some of the steaminess add to that impression. I'm not sure if the characters' over the top behaviour is humour or just them being wild and carefree (easier when you are rich).

There are various tropes and situations in these loosely linked stories, and eventually a suspense plot develops - which includes .

The plot twists, other content surprises, and urban exotica were enough to keep me reading and entertained, but occasional loose ends, out of character behaviour, and inconsistencies between the stories were disappointing.
