Sprucewood here I come! Great story. This story had a lot I like in stories like romance, mystery, opposites attract, true love, and so much more. It was just perfect. Loved all the detail and reading what the main characters Molly and Nate thought but didn’t say. I loved Gram and she was right all along! It gave me hallmark vibes and loved all the detail for the small town and the Christmas set up and now want to go there too lol. Loved that even thought they were totally opposite for each other love happens and the real kind. Had no idea there were more books like this one in the Holiday Cottage series and can’t wait to read more of them and this author.
This is an absolutely endearing Christmas falling in love book! Two extremely shy people, Molly always focused on quilting and Nate who was raised by his grandmother who was also an avid quilter. Molly has traveled from Massachusetts in search of the name of the designer of a famous Christmas star quilt. For some reason, the designer is a mystery. The two of them slowly start opening up and letting the other in. I spent time yelling at each of them to speak their feeling! Does Nate know more than he is telling? Will Molly find the designer name? And..Will they finally connect and start the relationship full swing? Gotta read to find out!
Thank you for allowing me to receive a reader copy. I thought this was new to me author. I have read her other books under name of Katherine Mykel. In the beginning of the book it was described at like a Hallmark movie. I hope it gets turned into one. Molly goes to Christmas themed town to discover the true creator of a quilt. She meets Nate. They have nothing in common. This was a wonderful story. Nice to read about snow especially in the middle of heat wave. I look forward to reading more by author by either name.
Thought this was super cute. If you enjoy Hallmark Christmas movies, you’ll enjoy this book! Girl goes to Magical Christmas town, girl meets boy, girl and boy are instantly drawn to each other and so on…you know how the story goes! Romance, a touch of mystery and Christmas magic. Molly is in hunt of information about a quilting pattern and Nate is her guide around town. Nate keeps a secret from Molly and towards the end, she finds out. Can she move past him keeping that information from her the whole time she’s been in town? Not gonna spoil it! Read the book and find out!
Nate is handsome. He works at the locale that Molly is visiting for work. He is so handsome that Molly is certain he could never be interested in her. Despite that, Nate is also certain that Molly could never be interested in him. This sweet story tells the tale of how they overcome an obstacle to realize they love one another. It is set at Christmastime and "Christmas magic" plays a part.
Molly has come to Sprucewood Colorado to find out who the original creator of the Christmas star quilt is. Nate works for the company that has the cottages that Molly is staying in and is her guide for the week. He's also the grandson of the quilter that made the Christmas star quilt block. There is mystery around the block that Gran has asked him to keep quiet. Does he break a promise to grandma or help the woman he's starting to have feelings for.
a sweet Christmas story with a bit of a quilting mystery
When a beautiful stranger appears, Nate regrets that he has a secret that gets in their way. I love quilting stories and love a good Christmas story/movie.this little charmer put a smile on my face. I recommend it as a quick holiday read.
An absolutely beautiful, heartwarming story. I fell in love with all the characters and their gentle, generous, loving personalities. The storyline is unique and sweet. I highly recommend this story and this author.
I read this book as part of an advance reader team and am voluntarily reviewing this book.
I loved this charming story about Molly and Nate and the festive Holiday Cottages. It is a touching tale about romance and a quest to find the rightful owner of a rare quilt pattern called the Christmas Star. I could envision the picturesque town with all of the holiday trimmings along with the sleigh ride and a hot cup of cocoa!
What a beautifully written book! The characters are very well rounded and grow throughout the story. You will laugh at awkward moments and face palms throughout even as the story weaves itself into a beautiful quilt that will make you feel warm and cozy. Can I give it a rating of 10???
I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving my honest review voluntarily.
Cute story, I enjoyed the descriptions of everything I felt like I was there with Molly. Not sure I believe the stars align for us to find the perfect match, but Kathryn made you believe in it. Happy endings are what we all want.
What a way to show how truth is almost always the right way. Two people caught up with a promise and one with a complex of not being outgoing. They finally trusted each other.
A good story about the hunt for the pattern of the Christmas Star Quilt pattern. The secrets that's kept to honor someone sometimes hurts. I would recommend this book.
Feel good story set during Christmas time. Really not much to the mystery. It gets revealed, then hidden until a twist comes along near the end of the book. Nice characters and pretty descriptive scenes made this readable.
Will Molly figure out who was the original designer of the quilt pattern? Super sweet quick read. Great personalities and a nice storyline make for a really great book to read. Something for a cozy afternoon.
This story held the unexpected - just like the pattern of a quilt, so many pieces were creatively melded together by the author to form a beautifully finished piece, a work to be enjoyed by a wide age range, and by fans of varied genres.
A magical place that’s what these cottages are Molly isn’t interested and doesn’t believe in it. Beautifully written to entice everyone to want more. Who knows , Molly might change her mind.
