i've been dying for a book about james since the beginning 🛐 i was desperate to read about the girl who somehow manages to tame his heart! & our girl abby didn't disappoint 😭🤍 she was literally perfect! (a small town babe who's a bookworm???! aka my definition of perfect)
-
"Nobody here cares about my desires. Where is this thing we call love?"
-
without spoiling to much, our fmc abigail is a small town girly who just wants more than her current hometown can offer. after finding the perfect training program with white estate, things are finally falling into place for abby!add a hottie abby runs into at the airport! a hottie who she meets later... at her new job... the ceo of white estate... james
-
now, what i loved most about this book was honestly how much abby grew as a person. i loved reading about her & slowly watching her confidence grow 😭🤍 (she actually deserves the world!!)
-
"How does one person make you feel safe and also give you the strength to find yourself?"
-
^^ i feel like this quote perfectly sums up abby & james's relationship 🫶 they were the perfect for each other!! james's determination definitely rubbed off on abby & abby's kindhearted nature won over james's heart 😭🤍
-
also the smut????!!!!!! i was dying omgggg 🫢 james IS the definition of big d!ck energy! (james is my idea of a dream man 🤩)
-
definitely my favourite read of the series so far 🤍

It’s a really sweet and fluffy romance. I was surprised to see them is such “light environment” with no miss understandings a lot of communication and just real sweetness. I loved it.
I loved the way Abigail and James met. Them bonding over reading books and getting to know each other was such a great idea. Abby is the sweetest and most caring person. I love how patient she is. The way she challenges James. And James… I love how Abby called him out and then he changed himself and started addressing people correctly and being an even better boss.
What I didn’t like tho… the blurb seems to make it such a “forbbiden relationship” and yeah, it was mentioned a few times, but it just didn’t deliver. The guy seems to be all for “rules and his business” but he doesn’t have any second thoughts about his relationship and it doesn’t seem so “forbbiden”.

Absolutely loved ❤️ this book! I’ve enjoyed every book so far by Sharon Woods, however this one may just be my favourite! I loved sweet CEO, James. Tough on the outside, soft and sweet on the inside…such a great combination. I also really enjoyed the fmc, Abigail. She's a sweet, smart girl and you can’t help but root for this couple.

I was up late into the night binging the first half of this book. It’s been a while since I’ve done that and it was worth being tired the next day. I absolutely love Sharon’s writing and the build up to James and Abby’s love story had my heart pounding with anticipation. I slowed it down for the second half of the book to really enjoy it and didn’t want it to end! I would have loved to read more about this couple and what happens in their future, I absolutely loved this couple and their story. It was a sweet and fluffy romance with lots of steam. I can’t wait to read the next installment of the series!

Thank you Sharon for the ARC. I was happy to write a voluntary review in exchange. I wish you continued success and I hope there’s many more novels to come!! 💕

Abby is a delightful girl who just wants to escape her small town, and she's finally coming closer when she nails the interview that will help her dream. At the airport, she bumps into a super hot man while celebrating the fact that she did indeed land the job, and he makes her feel things. She moves along home to get ready for the new job & doesn't think she's going to see him again, but surprise! He's the CEO of White Empire so it does get complicated. It's quickly apparent that these two are perfect for each other, and the sparks are flying, but she doesn't want to get distracted by him & he doesn't date people who work there. Things take another unexpected turn when he starts working closely with her, and that chemistry isn't about to be denied any longer. I LOVED the sexy times as they were hot hot hot, but more so was watching Abby come into her own. However, will she be able to have it all, the job & love at the end of the day?! You'll have to hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I really am loving this series. Each book easily stands alone. This is a story about a country girl or small-town woman by the name of Abby. She works for her family's real estate company and her parents want her to stay working for them. But she wants more and so she gets an intern position in the big city, and she is very excited to sample life in the big city.

James runs the company that Abby gets hired at. They have an immediate attraction, but he tries to fight it because he knows it will complicate things. But he can't resist, and Abby has big feelings for him.

But what happens when Abby's parents call her home and don't want to lose her? Will James fight for her and tell her how he feels? Well you will have to read this book to find out.

I really enjoyed this story and loved how James and Abby change and grow within this story.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the 3rd book in this series, and this is James and Abby’s story. Abby works for her controlling parents at their real estate business and needing a change she applies for a traineeship in the city, which she gets much to her parents’ displeasure. When Abby meets a sexy man at the airport, she does not expect to see him again, only to find out that he is the new CEO at the company she is working for. James has a distrust of all women, but Abby challenges him at every opportunity, and these two bring out the best of each other, and complement each other perfectly. This is a well written story which has family, romance, emotions, and love, which leads to a sweet and entertaining page turner.

This is a beautiful falling-in-love story full of lovely people. There is no villain except crappy parents. Good guy James White is CEO of White Estates. James is a genuinely nice boss. Small-town girl Abigail (Abby) was granted a one-year internship at White Estates. This is her dream, an exciting job in the big city. Beautiful outgoing Abby is full of life and with her smarts is excited about this learning experience. James is enthralled by Abby. She is so innocent and sweet to everyone. Can she be for real?
They dance around each other until they can’t take it any longer and start their beautiful very sensual relationship. I LOVED this romantic story and its awesome characters. I received a free advanced copy of this story from Booksprout. I am leaving my honest opinion of this story. Linda

(ARC REVIEW)
This is my first book by Sharon Woods and it won't be my last. This is standalone and can be read as one.

Abigail was a naive girl from a small town and it showed throughout the book but it didn't take away from her character. I think that's what I loved the most about her. As the story went on her backbone began to develop and I admired it. Meeting James helped her come out of her shell. James ran his business with an iron fist but Abigail turned his world upside down. His past break my heart but he didn't let it break him. Now bedroom scenes would make a priest blush James and that mouth gave me butterflies. This is a great book to add to this series.

I've been waiting for a book about James, and this one did not disappoint! 😍

Abby and James' chemistry from the beginning was top-notch. When they met, sparks flew, but then Abby found out James was the CEO of the company she was at for her training program. Ugh!

Abby's character development throughout the course of the book was spot on, and I really enjoyed reading it! James was determined, and Abby was soft and sweet. They both taught each other so much and were perfect for each other.

The smut was spot on, as was the romance and tension. This was gold! 😍 I highly recommend this great book! ❤

I loved Abigail and James! Love how their story starts and that she doesn't put up with his snobby ways. I also like that they had a common thread in their parents. Great chemistry and sizzling bedroom action tops off this fast moving story.

Abigail (Abby) Crawford is from a small town called, Riddells Creek. Her parents own a family real estate business, that she has been expected, to work in, too. With the understanding she is, to contribute, to the household income. But, enough was enough. She couldn't take any more of her mother's criticism, of everything about who she is. She needed, to get out of her small-town life.

So, when she hears about, the White real estate training program, she applies. Wanting every chance she can, to escape her mom’s chokehold. So, when Abby gets the internship at, White Estates, she can’t pack fast enough. She is looking forward, to a whole new adventure in a big city. Although, she is a little intimidated, by not knowing anyone. But, her biggest advantage is the hometown charm, which makes everyone she greets want, to know her. Not to mention, she is beautiful.

On her way back from her interview, while waiting a the airport lounge she meets a tall, dark, and sexy man. They chit-chat and exchange sexy barbs, but say their goodbyes. Not knowing one day very soon, they would meet again. However, no clue he would be her boss and the CEO of White Estates, James White. Their attraction to one another is red hot. And climbing. Will they get burned or tumble and fall? Because no matter how they try, to avoid it and each other, they run into one another. So, why fight it? She is the only woman Thomas, Joshua, and Ben have ever seen bring him to his knees.

Can the eternal bachelor be tamed by the small-town girl? Or will he always be the double-girl guy? I loved this book. Seeing, James doing a 360* is fun, to read after giving the guy, so much grief.

An office romance between a small-town girl who's enamored with making it in the big city & her boss

Read via Ebook - 3⭐️ - 🌶

An airport meet- cute turns coincidentall, when Abby discovers the hot guy she flirted with in an airport café is the CEO at her new paid internship for a real-estate conglomerate. They can't hide their attraction and get intimatly involved even when it violates James' own company rules. Even though they both have difficult family struggles, they find a home in one another.

This was a sweet book told from dual POVs featuring an immediate attraction between the MCs. I liked that there was a growth arc for Abby to stand up for herself to her controlling mother to get to the life she wants with James. I also appreciated that there was not a third quarter breakup and that the characters stood up for one another to both family and friends.

This is one of an interconnected series of stories that can be read independently.

Tropes: office romance, small-town, regular girl falls for her hot, wealthy boss, insta-love, found family with his friends and their significant others.

TWs: contrlling parents who belittle & manipulate the h, off-page drug addiction & alcoholism.

White Empire by Sharon Woods is the third book in The Gentlemen Series. I really like this series and it’s so underrated and take this as your sign to add them to your tbr and read them.

This book is about Abigail who lives in a small town and works for the family business. Her parents are very demanding and expect a lot from her and it’s making her very unhappy. When she gets the opportunity to work in the city, she goes away and now it’s her time to follow her own dreams. I adored Abigail‘s character development and she is a lovely protagonist.

On her way to the job she meets this gorgeous man in the airport and she didn’t expect to see him again, but he turns out to be no other than her new boss. James is super successful and therefore he doesn’t mix business with pleasure, but he immediately sees what a stunning person Abigail is.

These two are just so amazing together and Abigail and James almost naturally form and grow their relationship. I love how supportive they are of each other and reading their romance was just beautiful.

4 stars.

i don't wanna make fun or whatever ...but when i was in school the term "needs improvement" was used when an item (paper, book report ...whatever) and i am gonna say that about this book ...there are so many great spots ... dance club, the beginning in the airport ...really like several parts but some need improvement. that is best way to say it ... i wanted a 5-star rating but for me is not there ... slight few adjustments and i would give it ... love these characters. fun!! Sophie (or Sophia??!) is that her next-door neighbor's name?? gosh ... hope i have the right person ... drawing a blank there at the moment of writing this review??! i hate when you mind does that??! darn. any way the point is she would be a fun read if she got her own book. family needs to be supportive, but these folks are not. sad. high 4 star for me but a few adjustments and i would give a 5. you decide ...it's your book reading go on. give it a read.

This was so charming and swoony! I loved James! He was not what your typical CEO. A true gentlemen.

Abigail is wanting to leave her small town home and break away from her parents that are depended r on her. She ends up getting an intern position at White Estates and the CEO himself is none other then James White. The man she had a small encounter at the airport where they instantly connected.

James is busy, doesn’t have time for a relationship but for some reasons he cannot pull himself from Abigail(Abby). They try to have a business only relationship but the tension can only last for so long.

This was truly a HEA! It was sweet and romantic and I enjoyed it immensely. There was no real “bad guy” or a point where the other shoe dropped. It was an all around romantic story filled with steam. Sharon did not leave that out!

A true love story and Sharon wrote it amazingly !

Good, hot, but dual personality heroine
I liked the beginning, with the heroine who takes her chances with full force and goes for it, thinking that after all, what is she really risking? But at the same time, she is also naive in life in general, and adventurous during a relationship. In fact the contrast is sometimes surprising because she comes from a small town, and she behaves as if she came from the depths of a desert without internet connection or human beings, but sometimes I found exaggerated what she did not know (beyond the discovery of the city).

Will living in the city life be more than Abigail could ever dream about?

"I need to claim her as mine, the one I love so deeply it aches." - My favourite line in the book

I absolutely loved this book. I thoroughly enjoyed how the author was able to bring James & Abigail's story to life.
James is billionaire CEO & Abigail is trying to get out from under her parents thumb & escape small time life. The attraction & heat flowing between James & Abigail is undeniable. Can they both push past their insecurities for a chance at a HEA?
I can't wait to read more from this author.

Decides to get a job away from her small town. Celebratory drink in airport bars = meets male. Finds out when starting job that he turns out to be CEO of her new job. The both have prior family issues with them each learning to walk away from rescuing their parents. They do a great job of staying professional at work and it is interesting to see how they develop their lives. Her’s has an interesting left-turn. It was a nice story that gets interrupted by many paged sex scenes several times. The writing style needs improvement … maturing from the ‘and then… and then….’ Style.

What a sweet, flirty, cute, angsty, steamy read.
I’ve never read a book with the two characters having such good communication with each other. It was so nice to read.
The moment James and Abigail met you could feel the tension and angst between them.
I adore Abigail, I loved watching her growth throughout, standing up for herself with her family and seeing how loved she can be.
James had me swooning. WHAT A MAN 🥵

Oh I love James and Abby, they’re so amazing as a couple, very sweet and hot.
This story was lovely, a nice story about this couple but with lots of our previous couples, which is always lush. This story had some angst but not loads, both our characters have issues with family but have so many things in common, they’re very sweet. There were some steamy scenes but nothing crude. Overall a lovely read, this series is very sweet.

The story could’ve been something…..

But it just fell short. Abby and James meet at an airport then later meet at work where he is the CEO. Everything was so quick, repetitive, and overly done. There was drama, but the story was about then and true room to explore secondary characters but if I am honest they are kind of boring. Add in unnecessary details of their sexual escapades and that’s the story.

Love Blooms Despite Family Fights

Not all of us come from a perfect, loving family. Sometimes you have to fight for yourself to live your own life do what is best for you. The characters in this story attempt to do just that. It's up to them and see if it leads to love. I could put myself in their place and cheer them on as I once did. Easy read. I recommend, but it might have a few bad words and situations.

Nothing bad to say but i was disappointed at how fast they got together, I don’t know I felt like something was missing, i didnt get that excitement when they got with one another. The way the text messages aren’t mentioned between the two, it didn’t make me feel like im reading a book and for someone who’s in their mid-30s, he texts like a boy than a man. I was hoping more from this book tbh

I enjoyed this book. Both James and Abby had challenging families to deal with, but were crazy about each other and very supportive of one another. I was especially impressed with the way James respected and supported Abby's wants and needs. This book is the reason I read fiction; perfect relationships like this are almost non-existent.

Seriously tho, f**king obsessed with Sharon's writing! The storyline in this one, small town girl to big city hit me so dang hard, I fear my standards for my own big city romance with a rich CEO have only skyrocketed further 😅✨🙏🏼

This is my second book of hers I've read back-to-back and now am picking up her Billion Dollar series!
