Another great Father Joe mystery. A cosmetic surgeon is murdered at his desk one night, a distraught husband confesses to the murder. Did the young husband actually killed the doctor, even though he insists that he's guilty? Or, did someone else commit the murder. Father Joe is doing his own investigation. Does he find proof that the distraught husband really did commit the murder or was it someone else? Read this wonderful story to find out.
I volunteered a honest review for an ARC copy of this book.
This was a very fast murder mystery. I liked all the characters, except for the doctor and his wife. Which is to be expected. Father Joe made a wonderful lead character. A very patient and compassionate man of the cloth. He was not given to preaching which added to the pleasant read. I would like Iike to read more in this series.
This was an advance readers copy sent to me by the author for a non biased review.
This is a wonderful addition to this thrilling series! Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story. Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Dr Bridges was a good surgeon until greed drove him to ruin the lives of his patients. Todd's wife, Melanie lost her life after being treated by the doctor. When the doctor was murdered, Todd was a suspect because he threatened him. Fr Joe Cullen believes Todd is innocent. Will he find the real culprit against all odds? An entertaining and intriguing mystery which kept me guessing.
A young wife dies. A doctor is murdered and the husband confesses but Father Joe McCullen is not convinced. He is determined to save the young man from himself.
I like the characters in this series. Father Joe has a down-to-earth attitude and a gentle attitude toward everyone as he follows the clues. I received an advance copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
MURDER AT The DOCTOR'S OFFICE by Tanya Taylor is the second installment in the Joe McCullen Cozy Mystery series.
After an unpopular local surgeon is found murdered, Father Joe McCullen gets to play detective again. A distraught husband has confessed to the murder, but Father Joe doesn't believe it. The more Father Joe looks into the doctor and his patients, he finds multiple suspects.
I did receive a copy of this book from the author and the above is my freely given and honest review
Father Joe has his hands full when a member of his parish confesses to a crime Joe feels he didn't commit. when he refuses help, it is up to Joe to solve the murder. This is a fast easy read that kept me engaged. A great story for anyone who likes murder mysteries. I received an advance copy of this book, and this is my honest review.
Another fantastic mystery featuring Father Joe. He gets involved when a local surgeon gets murdered. Unfortunately he wasn’t so popular. Full of suspense and surprises every page I turned. Can’t wait to read the next book.
OK...sure lots of suspects, but leaving the departed employee's story line in was a killer to who was guilty. Better if Todd gave up that he was right behind Cherry and they both shot Bridges. Too easy to figure out who was guilty.
This is a tragic story and is very believable because this has happened to a lot of people. The characters are very good and I felt what everyone was going through in the story. This reminds me of Father Brown.
Father Joe gets involved with helping Todd who has a lot of guilt because her took his wife to Mel to Dr. Bridges and the doctor did procedures on her that caused her death.
The second I've read in this series. I sort of figured it out, so the mystery didn't stump me. I enjoyed the story. I like a cozy mystery always. I'll read more from this author.
