For years, formidable artist Alden Grey has lived secluded in the woods, painting his intense impasto artworks in peace.
His paintings demand attention as much as he demands full control over his life. Then, one day, a Rubenesque beauty named Sasha shows up at his door. Sasha is there to pick up Alden’s paintings for an upcoming gallery show, but from the moment he lays eyes on her, Alden wants to give her a hell of a lot more than his works of art.
Within hours, he’s obsessed with her, picturing curvy Sasha as his wife and the mother of his children. But as quickly as they've bonded, it's obvious their lifestyles and ages are too far apart.
This rugged painter’s passionate fantasy will have to stay a fantasy. Or will it?
Sasha has dreams of being a gallery owner. Alden is a very famous painter. One day, Sasha’s boss asks her to pick up paintings for the gallery from Alden. He lives way out in the mountains. She goes to meet him and the attraction between the two is instantaneous.
I want him. And not just because he’s gorgeous. It’s also because he’s passionate about his work, and in touch with the beauty of the world, and willing to show me the most vulnerable part of himself. He feels so right.
I really liked this novella. It has spice, funny moments, and sweet romance. Alden is very… ahem, thick… so that made the smex scenes hotter!
I liked how Sasha didn’t give in to Alden and move out into the mountains. She’s a career woman and it shows. As much as she wants to be with him, she wants to be a gallery owner. He eventually respects that.
important bits: virgin heroine age gap (unknown but younger h, 40sH) praise rough sex no OM/OW drama no cheating/sharing SAFE HEA and epilogue 🖤

Short, quick read with lead characters who fall deep in love at first glance. It was well written and the central issue was how they will reconcile their opposite lifestyles. He is a painter who likes his peace away from civilisation and she dreams of owning an art gallery in the city. For love, they end up compromising, living at the edge of town.
Looking at the title and cover, one would think this was a purely smut book. Not so. The spice was hot enough, but not overwhelming to compromise the romance. The love between Alden and Sasha was pure and felt true.

Yesterday was a crap day until I was able to crawl into bed and read this book. It was exactly what I needed. A sweet and steamy instalove/age gap romance to wash away the stress of the day and make it all better.
Instalove/ age gap romance can do no wrong in my eyes. Especially one written by the likes of Kate Hunt. I adored the way she brought these two characters together, had them fall for one another, but soon realize that their happily ever after may not happen for them. Will they be able to compromise and keep the love they found on top of the mountain?? You’ll just have to read and find out! 5 Stars.
So I need to book a Kate Hunt spree soon This was a breeze of fresh air, the FMC not having to uproot her entire life for someone (even if she found out that is what she really wanted blah blah blah) Minimal push and pull, cute recluse, curvy rep - win win.
Sasha is a stand-in for the guy who normally drives the unbelievably crazy drive up the mountain. To, Alden Grey, the eccentric artist whose hideaway home/studio is up there. Cory was home with the flu, so, her co-worker and best friend gave her the skinny. And she knows now, for a fact, that he undersold the ease of driving to the home of the recluse artist.
When she finally got there Sasha wanted to kiss the ground. She knocked on the doors several times and on the third time, he was mad until she said she was from the gallery, and that, Kristina said that she had made arrangements with him. Aldon was gob stopped by her beauty. He instantly imagines a life of them together with a family. Things move fast between them. She stays the night because he tells her, that some of the paintings need to dry. All lies.
The book is very short. Needless to say, he can not imagine living once again in the city. Sasha can not even dream of moving up the mountain without accomplishing her dreams. The first is owning a gallery of her own. So, when he follows her down, she thinks she is successful at getting him to see that the city isn’t all that bad. And, that people will be so happy to know, he will be at the gallery showing his work.
Nope! Not even close. He had come down with an empty suitcase to her dismay, to pack her up, and take her back up the mountain. Woe! See how that goes over. Who will concede first? Or, will she have to? Sasha knows it's slowly killing him, and his creativity will start to wane being in the city for, too long. I did enjoy this quick read.
Extra Thick is the first book in the A Man Obsessed series and get ready for some OTT insta-love with big possessive alphas and feisty curvy younger women. This story a fun read with some laughs and a lot of heat. Alden Grey is a successful forty-two years old painter who retreated to a very secluded mountain home that feeds his artistic soul. Sasha is a younger woman who is one of two assistants to a private art gallery owner that represents Alden. Sasha is sent to pick up Alden's paintings for a show that is coming up in a few days. This is not normal for her so when she knocks on the cabin's door and finds Alden on the other side........WOWSA...for both of them!!! They may have an toe curling connection and undeniable fireworks exploding but with Sasha's life in the city and Alden's in the mountains will this couple be able to find a way to build a future together. This was a fun story with a nice story-line and very likeable characters, who both do a bit of struggling with finding a way to be together. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next in the series.
Sasha has to drive 4 hours up to the mountains to pick up Alden’s paintings for the art gallery Sasha works at. Alden is a grouchy recluse, but the moment he lays eyes on sweet curvy Sasha standing on his front porch, he immediately softens and becomes obsessed with her. And he’s willing to do what it takes to keep her and figure out how to make them work when he can’t stand being in the city and she doesn’t want to give up her career and life in the city. Such a sweet epilogue and HEA for them, because they do figure out how to stay together to get what they both need. I love how sweet and very sensual it was between them. This is a very fast paced insta-lust/love novella, and I definitely want to read the next book with a new couple! -age-gap: Alden is in his 40s and Sasha is in her early 20s -Size difference: Alden is much taller and broad in a mountain man kind of strong way while Sasha is soft and curvy -🌶🌶🌶🌶 -no cheating, no time separation, great communication, HEA
This is book number 1 of the A Man Obsessed series and focuses on Alden and Sasha. Alden is a successful artist who lives a reclusive lifestyle on a mountain in the middle of nowhere. He is happy and thriving with his art while out in nature but gets the surprise of a lifetime when Sasha shows up on his front porch. He is instantly connected to Sasha and can easily picture his life with her. They both want to be with each other but they have some navigating to do in order to have a life together without giving up on dreams and values that make them who they are. I absolutely loved how this story turned out and the life they were able to create together. This was a great story and a great introduction to the series!

Sasha can't believe Kristin has her driving to get the canvases from Alden, her best-selling artist. However, with Cory, who normally makes this 4+ hour drive out sick with the flu, she has no choice. When she finally gets there, she is absolutely stunned. Alden may live on top of a mountain (well almost) and in the middle of nowhere, but the house is absolutely beautiful. Then, when the man himself answers the door, she again is shocked. He is at least a head taller than her and twice as wide at the shoulders as her. Thankfully, he doesn't seem nearly as gruff as he did a moment ago calling out that he'd be right there. Alden is stunned! Who is this beautiful woman at his door? He feels an instant connection, so much so that he never wants her to leave. So what happens next? You will need to read this story by Kate Hunt to find out.
This was an amazing book! I loved it. I didn’t want it to end, but I was happy with the ending. I always enjoy Kate Hunt books. This was me was about a recluse painter, Alden, and an art gallery worker, Sasha. Sasha is a bigger girl but Alden loves her curves. It was instalove for them but they both want different things. He prefers his far from the city life and she wants to stay in the city for her aspirations. This steamy book has well developed characters, even the sub characters had some depth to them. I felt like I was living in the book. I could imagine myself as Sasha and falling for Alden. I love when I can do that with a book!.

Alden Grey is a famous talented artist who secludes himself up in the mountains so he can paint with no one to bother him. Sasha is an assistant at an art gallery who had to go to Alden’s home to bring back his finished paintings in preparation for an upcoming show. Both of them were attracted to each other. But could a relationship work for them? Alden needs a peaceful environment for his creativity to flow, and that is definitely not in the bustling city or near crowds of people. But Sasha’s dream is to own her own gallery in the city. There seems to be no compromise available to accommodate both of them. Will they go their separate ways? Or will love find a way to keep them together?

In this book we meet Sasha & Alden. For years all Sasha has wanted was to work in a gallery of her own. For now though she is happy working for her boss. This day is different though today she is going to one of the recluse artists homes to get his paintings. Little did she know what she would find there would change her life. Alden has been alone for years and has no desire to change that. One look at Sasha though and he knows he will move heaven and earth to be with her. Can these two find a HEA or will their words just be too far apart?
Another amazing hit by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Kate Hunt kicks off her new series, A Man Obsessed, with the deliciously passionate and swoon-y age-gap instalove romance, Extra Thick. From the moment elusive artist Alden Grey lays eyes on the much-younger curvy beauty Sasha when she comes to collect his paintings for a new gallery showing, he is infatuated with his new muse. But despite a passionate night together, can they find a way to merge their very divergent lives and dreams? An entertaining, steamy, age-gap with two very engaging characters. A definite must-read.

This book had me at the synopsis. Sasha was tasked to pick up some paintings from recluse artist 🎨 Alden. Their meet-cute didn't start so well. But the chemistry between Alden and Sasha was 🔥🔥🔥. Alden knew she was his forever and he was going to do whatever took to keep her. Sasha and Alden's love story was just as beautiful and sweet as I knew it would be. I loved the way this book was written. So detailed and easy to follow. But the epilogues are my #1 & #2 favorite things about this book. They were the cherries on top of the ice cream sundae. This author has pulled me in and I'm ready to check out this series!
I was surprised to find this wonderful novella. I thought it would be just another one of those mountain man story. Nothing wrong there, just kinda gets boring when it's the same story told over and over again just with different names. Not this one. For a novella, it managed to round out the characters so that I feel I could connect with them. A really delicious story that starts well, and ends better. There's plenty of steam but it didn't detract from the story, just adds a bit of spice to it.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I know you will like it too.
For a short read, Extra Thick delivers exactly what it promises – a satisfying, sweet romance wrapped up in a quick package. Since it’s a shorter book, the characters’ emotions develop at an accelerated pace, but knowing this going in makes the journey enjoyable rather than rushed. The writing is sharp and keeps you hooked, capturing that insta-love vibe beautifully without feeling forced. It’s sweet, well-written, and leaves you with a smile. For anyone looking for a quick, feel-good romance, this one hits the mark perfectly.
Alden is a recluse, famous artist who just wants to be left alone. Sasha works for the art gallery who shows his work. She has to drive to his home a retrieve his latest pieces. As soon as Alden sees Sasha he sifts toward her and finds himself doing things out of the ordinary. There are instant sparks between these two but they face hard facts that she is unwilling to give up her dreams to own an art gallery and he can’t live around crowds. This is a beautifully written story of how two people in love can make things work.
4.5 Stars This was a sweet yet steamy book. I really enjoyed Sasha and Alden together. All it took was for these two to look as each other and they knew they found their other halves. The problem was that Alder lives in the middle of nowhere and Sasha is a through and through city girl. These two have some ups and downs but they get the perfect HEA for them.

Cute, quick read Alden is a recluse artist living high on a mountain. Sasha is struggling to make her way in the world and working at an art gallery. She is stuck running up to Alden's cabin to pick up his work and their instant attraction is too much for each of them. Bit of drama as they discover they want different things but a good HEA for these two.

The author has given us a fast-paced older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of Alden and Sasha and does not let go. The story keeps us turning the pages with instant connection, obsession and steam.

Sasha (h) drives to the remote mountain cabin of grumpy, reclusive artist, Alden (H) to pick up paintings for an upcoming show in the city. It's instalove for the older man and the curvy young woman in this quickie romantic read with a side of hot and steamy action. Minor dram but not too much in this OTT novella.
This was a cute instalove romance. I liked the story, it had a lot of heart and steam. Alden and Sasha had a clear bond from the start and I liked them together. The story threw a little bit of adversary their way but they worked through it and got their HEA.

This was a short and sweet grumpy/sunshine Instalove story with sweet characters and a great HEA. Alden is a recluse artist that lives in the woods. Sasha is an art history major that works for a gallery in town.and her next pick up are Alden's pictures. Well they see each other and fall hard. Instalove, sweet, steamy, romantic and safe with a sweet HEA and no drama😍😍😍
I only had one issue with this story and that was the use of the C word. I really feel that this particular word is vulgar and unnecessary to use because it tarnishes the story a bit because of its crudeness. But otherwise the storyline and the characters were fantastic.
