The historic fantasy novel Malý bůh (The Little God) is set at the beginning of our era, in the time when Celtic tribes were being driven out of today's Bohemia by the Germans. The novel tells the story of a druid, Celtic priest, and bard Lowen, who was born into a period of war that made everything he'd known fall into pieces.
The beginning of the book is very descriptive and lengthy, but once the author starts telling the actual story, the book is a nice read that gives an insight into the life of the "barbaric" tribes while staying entertaining and catchy.
