Dragon drama!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💙💚💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 🤐🤫🫣☺️😍

The heroine: Felicity - she is the catty bwitch of the group and readily admits she has behaved that way, especially to Olivia, since Olivia reminds her of her cousin Chloe. On Earth, Felicity was treated like an indentured servant by her aunt, uncle and cousin, she definitely live a cinderella “before the ball” life. She is now pregnant and not speaking to her mates, Xan and Lud.

The Heroes: Xanthox and Luddox - They turned in to Dragons as soon as they saw Felicity. Which means she is their fated mate. Things were good for a while, then they helped Herrix and Belfox build a ship that they were planning to use to escape the prison planet.

The Story: This takes place directly after the events from Draekon Abduction. Felicity overheard Xan and Lud talking about the spaceship they helped build and how they were going to leave the prison planet and leave her behind. Though we know she must have misunderstood because the reason they didn’t leave with Herrix and Belfox was because there was only room for four and they couldn’t bring her with.

Felicity isn’t the only one with issues from the past. Lud found out he was a father just minutes before he was tested and found to be Draekon. He was sent to the prison planet as his daughter was sent into the system since her mother passed away. Xan grew up wealthy with strict and uncaring parents who were all about status.

This book had quite a bit of relationship drama and was told partially in flashbacks to their pasts, to the time the guys first met, and to the time Xanthox and Luddox were working with Herrix and Belfox to build a spaceship and what happened to their relationship. The intimate scenes were quite steamy and we get to see another side to felicity than in the previous book.

The story is told in multiple points of view by three narrators Misty Dawn, Jasper Woodcock and Ry Forest. The narration was dual narration with the males doing all the voices within the chapters that are told from the male points of view and the female doing the chapters told from the female point of view. Not my favorite type of narration, but these narrators do a great job and have pleasing voices.

Wow, this story was filled with all kinds of emotions. Felicity, Xanthox and Luddus each come with a lot of baggage that will have to be addressed before they can become true mates. Misunderstandings and fears are the order of the day. Can the three work through these problems or are they doomed to never become real mates?

I really love this series and look forward to the next book!

Oh my goodness I am really enjoying where this story arc seems to be going I just can't share that with you. In this edition we find one triad Felicity, Lud and Xan have some making up to do and the clearing of the air. For Xan it is what his parents instilled in him growing up and the secret he and Lud have kept from Felicity. For Felicity it is what she taught herself by how she is treated by others and what she overheard. As for Lud it is what he discovered right before being exiled that he could not act upon 65 years ago and the most recent message he was able to read and the secret he and Xan kept from Felicity.

This is what the primary characters are dealing with in addition to the ongoing story line which I think makes this one the better story so far, it left me wondering what will happen next and which triad will be brought together. I think other readers should get themselves a copy and form your own opinion of this almost a dragon goodness. I voluntarily read an advance copy and have not been compensated in any way for this opinion.

Alright, I'm done with this series. It was a fun run but doesn't provide the plot or romance that I'm looking for. The books are so interconnected that unlike with IPB, you can't jump around.

This story is told in a past and present tense that is super annoying, because "past" isn't just 1 fixed point in time. The plot is all about how 3 people who were mated are now falling apart, and maybe it would have worked better if it the past was when they first met and present was now? But instead past jumps around 65+ years (for the Draeken) and between 90 days and years for the heroine.

Also the use of ellipses was out of control. It felt like every section had one that lead into a flashback or flash forward.

I enjoyed the first part of this series, it was different from my normal reads...but these stories are redundant. I finished the series because it was on my to do list. Lol. It’s not a bad story, just really drawn out. I’m not sure why this needed to be a 7 book series. It probably would have gone over better as 1 or 2 books.

Random purchase when I went to Half Priced Books yesterday. I would have enjoyed this more (probably) if I read the series in order because there are A LOT of characters in here. So many names and things going on that I had no clue about lol. Still, I was mostly here for the relationship aspect so I didn't mind that I was lost. The whole story took place between past and present so if you're not a fan of that, heads up. Overall it was interesting enough for a quick read.

Book 5, Exiled to the Prison Planet. Dragon shifters, alien planets, a whirlwind of mysteries and schemes! What's not to love?

SPOILER ALERT: WHILE THIS BOOK MAY BE READ AS A STANDALONE, IT IS BOOK #5 IN THE DRAGONS IN EXILE SERIES. THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE PRIOR FOUR BOOKS.

Felicity Rollins is one unhappy camper! Deliberately stranded on a prison planet of dragon shifters who only shift when they meet their fated mate? Piece of cake, especially compared to her miserable life on Earth. Two hot, hunky Draekon mates who jump to fulfill her slightest wish? Let's face it. Who could find that a hardship? But is it all a huge mistake? Could the Universe truly screw up this much? Luddox and Xanthox deliberately deceived her. No question. No mistake. She heard it with her own ears. They helped Herrix and Belfox build a vessel to escape the planet. And they intended to LEAVE HER BEHIND! Felicity can't, won't forgive them. As she pulls away from Lud and Xan, they don't understand. The gulf between the three grows wider and wider, but there are even more pressing concerns. The Zorahns are searching for something on the prison planet, something that's completely disappeared. Despite the impenetrable asteroid belt surrounding the planet, Zorahn ships continue to try to land, crashing in the process. Add the two newly-mixed exile batches with their quirks and differences, and you have one very volatile mix. Then, out of the blue, Felicity's life is totally upended. Really? It's not bad enough that her mates betrayed her? And she can tell no one. She has no friends. She believes in no one. And she absolutely, positively can't trust Xan or Lud. As events slide out of control, Felicity has no choice but to at least try to reconcile with Xan and Lud. But can shattered trust ever be repaired? Is there any hope when all three are keeping secrets buried so deeply they may never come out? Events cascade on a downward spiral on so many fronts. Enemies become allies while allies may very well be enemies. Can anyone be believed? Absolutely nothing is what it seems. In the midst of this turmoil and strife, is it even conceivable that Felicity, Luddox, and Xanthox can find common ground, rebuild a fragmented trust, and start anew? Or have the duplicity, betrayals, and buried secrets surrounding them doomed the three to a lifetime of misery and pain?

With this book, Lee Savino and Lili Zander have thrown open a window on a relationship that's incredibly complicated and full of buried secrets, lies, and betrayals. Felicity refuses to talk to anyone, especially Xan and Lud, about her past on Earth. Xan and Lud both have deeply held secrets tearing their souls to pieces. Even from the beginning of this story, this relationship seems doomed before it ever starts. This plot is absolutely heartrending on every level. The intricacies of the story, the plots, drama, and hidden agendas continue to evolve making it impossible to know who's friend or foe. The intrigues are worthy of the best spy novel. The relationship between Felicity, Xanthox, and Luddox is so complicated and fraught with hidden landmines. There truly appears to be no way these three can ever find their way back to each other. Is the story steamy? Absolutely. But there's so much more to this story, and the entire series, than just a group of erotic ménage relationships. Xanthox, Luddox, and Felicity's relationship is so completely different from any of the other relationships we've seen before. Complex doesn't come close to describing it. Lee Savino and Lili Zander have again demonstrated just how they're at the top of their game. Congratulations, Ms. Savino and Ms. Zander. I couldn't give Draekon Destiny anything less than five stars.

One final note. Be an informed reader! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and Amazon. Use these resources. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. It's not fair to the authors. They work hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to a book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the authors an extreme disservice.

Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!

TRUTH OR DARE

The series involves a group of sexy tattooed alien men that have been banished to a prison planet because they carry a mutated gene where they are Draekon, in other words, they can shift to dragons. But to be able to shift, it will require that they are pair-bonded and mated. So before these Draekon can do that, they will have to meet their mate, and if you remove them from all female population and exile them to a prison planet will end the Draekon.

The Zorahn want Earth women to aid in their secret experimentation but convince Earth’s government that it is a temporary six-month stent, and ten women will be on the first shuttle. “You represent the first step in an alliance that we hope will span generations.” “We’re glorified lab rats.” But what happens when the ship carrying the Earth females crash lands on the exile prison planet, and they meet Draekons?

So many secrets from their past lead to heartache and in upbringing before Felicity, Luddux, and Xanthox become a triad leads to much confusion due to miscommunications. Felicity believes that Lud and Xan are leaving her behind when they get involved with two other Draekon, Belfox and Herrix. And learning they have built a spacecraft, and are keeping it a secret from her causes a major riff. Because Felicity has her issues from what happened to her on Earth, she feels like she is once again going to be abandoned, but this time from her mates. Is the answer to harden your heart, so you don’t get hurt?

“I can’t be hurt if I don’t care.” –Felicity

“You are our gift—our treasure. Everything we need is right here.” –Lud and Xan

“I never took you for a fool and coward, Felicity. You have everything, and you don’t appreciate it. You cling to your past because it’s easier to be afraid than to take a chance.” --Dariux

Luddux has carried the heartache of never getting to know his daughter and then to learn her life is in jeopardy. Emotions can lead to crazy actions, and those actions can cause problems with those that matter in his present life. Would Felicity reject him because of what was out of his control?

“They’d both seen what my guilt had prevented me from seeing. I was captured before I could go see my daughter. It was horrible, and I will regret it for the rest of my life, but the situation had been outside of my control.”

New problems for the exiled Draekons and Earth females make finding a safe location for all of the exiled groups to join together when they find crashed ships from Zorahn. With Raiht’vi, a Highborn Scientist, still missing and knowing she would be someone the Zorahn would risk to rescue, but at what cost to those on the planet? Is war coming to them? Can they find a safe place for all the exiled and women to hide and live safely?

When the truth finally comes out between Felicity, Luddux, and Xanthox will they be able to heal and make plans for their future? Life is about to change for these three, and hopefully in a good way.

“It’s been a hard road getting here, but this moment makes it all worthwhile. I’m done with the past. I’m ready for a fresh start.” –Felicity

The saga will continue Spring 2018 with the next book in the series, Draekon Rogue.

Wow, this is an emotional ride! I have read every book in this series, and absolutely loved every single one, but I don't know if any of them have tugged at my heart-strings like this one did. The other stories have been about the Draekons finding their mate. This one is about what can happen after the mate has been found, and the HEA isn't so perfectly achieved. Felicity, Luc and Xan thought they had it all, until miscommunication got in the way. That's all I'm going to say about the story line for these three.
This story also continues the overall arch that was started in book 1. It has taken many twists and turns, and the surprises in this one weren't what I was expecting AT ALL. It is dramatic, emotional, and wonderful. Just when I thought I had so many things figured out, I'm thrown for a loop, and almost feel like I'm back at the beginning. The emotional issues that arise in this story are so well depicted that I was feeling them right along with the characters. The world has continued to grow, and it is continuing to be revealed, in a way that you can picture it in your mind. The plots are wonderful, the pace is perfect, and every time I finish one I am desperate to get my hands on the next. If you are a fan of sci-fi or paranormal romance you MUST dive into this series immediately! You won't be disappointed!
The stories in this series are stand-alone books in the sense that they each focus on a particular trio, but to enjoy the entire story you must read them in order.

"I thought it'd be different here. I thought they were different. But they're not."

Felicity is human and stuck on a prison planet. Her pair-bonded mates, Luddox and Xanthox are Draekons who can shift into dragons. They have had their happily ever after.

But, there is trouble in paradise. Felicity's aunt and uncle used her for cheap labor. Luddox and Xanthox used her to turn into dragons.

Each mate come with their own personal history. Each have their own ways of communicating. Everyone has a story, and need to tell it.

They need a second chance at their destiny. Were they doomed from the start? Or can they trust one another enough to heal their shattered bond?

***

I wasn't sure what to expect before reading Draekon Destiny. To be honest, if I have read the author before I don't reads the synopsis of their book. Weird, I know. But I trust the Author to guide me on an adventure that will intrigue and captivate me. Lee Savino and Lili Zander always do just that.

Draekon Destiny is a page-turning complicated treat. I rooted for each of the triad members and wanted the best for them. There were times I felt anger, and love. Felicity, Luddox and Xanthox are obviously meant to be together and I waited for the resolution of the book. I've never been so happy to get my wish.

"I can't control the future. All I can do is hold my mates tight and show them every day how much I love them."

>Truth or Dare - but will the truth set them free?

Lili Zander and Lee Savino keep the winning series going - Draekon Destiny is the fifth of the Dragons in Exile series, and a game-changer for the exiles of the prison planet. Felcity mated with Luddox and Xander, and now there's trouble in paradise. Since Lud and Xan got caught up in the failed attempt to build an escape ship and leave, Felicity is convinced they don't really want her - they were planning to leave her behind, after all! Lud and Xan had their reasons, but since none of these guys truly trust anybody, everybody hides the truth, tells pretty lies, and gives their relationship trauma the ostrich treatment. Cue relationship angst. Meanwhile in the larger world, the two exile batches, united under Firstborn Arax and his bond-mate Nyx, face irrefutable evidence that the Empire is closing in, and neither missing Rait'vi, the shipwrecked human women, nor the exiled draekons are safe. It seems they know as little of the truth of their exile as Felicilty knows of her mates Xan and Lud. The attempt to find concealed shelter for all leads to a game-changing discovery (NO SPOILERS) and a chance for Felicity, Lud and Xan to mend their fractured mating. With the Empire's threat looming all, it's HFN, not HEA, and a whole lot of us readers dying for more sexy, scary Draekon drama. My thanks to the authors for an ARC of this book, and my voluntary, independent opinion is that Draekon Destiny rocks!

Felicity, Xan and Lud

I really didn't care for Felicity in the previous books. She acted all catty and it seemed that she thought she was better than everyone else. It turns out she was protecting herself from being hurt emotionally like she had been all her life. She lived with her aunt, uncle and cousins who took over her care out of duty. Her mother died at birth and her father wasn't ready for a baby and took off. Her "family" told her that she had to work for them in their restaurant for free because she owed them room and board for raising her.
Xan and Lud were the ones that turned to dragons after seeing her. They each loved her but kept secrets. She misunderstood what was happening with Berrix and Herrix so it caused major problems. Because she didn't want to question them about it and face the answers that she feared she would receive, they were estranged for a month.
When a ship crashed onto the planet from the High Emperor, things started changing on the planet.
Felicity decided to give Xan and Lud another chance because of a new discovery. We learn more about the third camp and what Dairux has been searching for.
This is a series that I would totally recommend. You need to start with the first book though so you have all the information. This is one of those series that will drag you in more and more with every little breadcrumb that is left in each story.

Lili Zander and Lee Savino have done it again. They have brought us another great Draekon book. I know that I say it all the time, but I think this one is my favorite. That's because we get to see more than just building a relationship, we get to see what happens when the relationship fractures and what it takes to put it back together. Most of the Draekon books have shown us what happens when the 2 Draekons and their human mates are starting to fall in love, but nope, Felicity, Xan, and Lud have to be difficult.

In the last books, we've seen the Draekons and humans mating and the two different exile groups coming together. We've also seen some of the exiles trying to build a ship to escape. Lud and Xan got dragged into that. They were courting their mate, Felicity, and all was working out well. The problem is that Lud had a secret that was eating him alive. When he found out that there was a ship, he got blackmailed into being a pilot. The problem is that while he told Xan his secret, he didn't tell Felicity, so when something happened, it broke their relationship.

This book is all about the next part of the overall story, but more importantly about how 3 broken people who all love each other but are all afraid of it manage to fix something incredibly important. I can understand where each person is coming from and why they are all hurting by their internal things which makes it more likely for them to get hurt on the outside.

I'm looking forward to reading the next part of the story because it's just so fascinating.

OMG, I just came off reading “Night of the Berserker” and now here. Both books are tearing at my heartstrings. Felicity has been treated so poorly from her so-called family. She knows what it is like to lose a parent and be abandoned. Plus to have relatives treat you as “slave labor.” Her chance to escape it all and she ends up on the Prison Planet. Then gets pair to two Drakeon’s that were planning to abandon her. Luddox & Xanthox have been on this planet for a very long time. But they both carry a secret. Luddox found out right before he was sent to the planet that he had a daughter. And Xanthox was more of a sadder affair. He was taught that extravagance in a gift equals love. But it doesn’t. All the wrong things are mixed in here for them all. Misunderstandings and now a baby. Felicity feels that they will never love her because she was a means to abandon her. They were dragons and are now free. But our boys don’t feel that at all.

It was a roller coaster of emotions. But now we are set on a new adventure. We have enemies, Zoraken, doing suicide missions. Could they be coming to take everyone from the prison planet? How are they getting past the asteroid belt? And is what Dariux tells us true? I can’t wait for the next book, “Draekon Rogue.” And here is a good question, will Zlatin, Crothyr and Dorothy Pitts show up on the planet?

Love Destined for a Second Chance

This is the fifth Draekon book. Each is a standalone so you don’t have to read the preceding books but I highly recommend them; they are all fantastic stories! This is Felicity’s, Luddox’s, and Xanthox’s story. This is a story about truths and lies. These three are not telling each other everything about themselves. They are not lying to each other, or so they believe, they are just lying by omission. Will these three be able to restore their mating bond? Is there a second chance for this bond? The scenes between these three are hot, sexy, & salacious! There are a few of sub-plots introduced in this book. There is the chance of High Empire attack on the exiles, the introduction of the missing exiled Draekons from the second exile group, the question Belfox’s & Herrix’s escape from the exile planet in the found spaceship, the still missing Raiht’vi, and the now missing Beirax, the mystery mountain, and the lost city of ancient Draekons. So many opportunities for storylines! Lee’s and Lili/Tara’s writing is flawless. The story flows so well between the POVs of the three main characters. All the action and adventures make complete sense. Of course, I am anxious for book six! We get a glimpse of whose story will be next at the end. There is an HEA even though the story continues.

4 1/2 Stars! What a great (& don't forget HOT!) addition to the Draekon family!

4 1/2 Stars!

I took me a few minutes to appreciate the way this book is authored. It is different than any of the other books, as it refers to previous and current events. It is helpful though as it goes back and fills in parts of the storyline that occurred in previous books that were not fully explained then since it wasn't part of their storyline. Such as when "Balls and Nuts" are leaving all the time of Darius' skimmer, the issues and concerns when the Second Highborn and his bond-mate are attacked and held prisoner, but most importantly provides further insight into Darius and why he has been acting the way he has for so long.

I don't want to give away too much, especially if someone is new to the series, but this has been my favorite story to date in the series, probably because it is like discovering the missing link to connect all the stories, while setting up a whole new line for future stories.

This story contains the potential for violence, moderate adult language (between 30 and 60 words) and steamy menage intimate scenes. If any of these things offend you, then this may not be the book for you.

Draekon Destiny Exiled to the Prison Planet Book 5
By Lee Savino Lili Zander

They know something is wrong, they have asked Felicity, but she will not tell them what is wrong. Luddux and Xanthox would do anything to make Felicity happy. Like she was when they first saw her. When the sight of her made them change into their dragons for the first time. They don't know what they did wrong but they are willing to do anything to fix it.
If you have not read books 1- 4, STOP and read them first. If you like ice Planet barbarians by Ruby Dixon then this is a series for you.

Ok - Liked it

This is a story of the heroine and her two heroes getting past secrets and misunderstandings that have nearly ended their relationship. As such, this book spends more time on the emotional turmoil of the characters than their current mission. This book flits between the past and present, which I found mildly annoying. However, I really liked that we got to see episodes in each characters past that helped explain their current behavior. Overall I liked the emotional journey here, but felt the big reveal near the end was a bit of a let-down.

*****Spoiler Alert*****
This Book Includes
Violence.
Brief dragon fight, fall to near-death.
Sex. Heroine says when she first meets heroes that she knows she will need to trade sex for food & shelter - but at least they are nice about it. MF sex, MFM sex, anal play & sex, MF-bj, males tattooed & pierced nipples.

Things That Bothered Me
Listening to the Villain. I thought it was disappointing that the rift between them was in essence caused by the bad guy. It's like you know better, but you do the stupid thing anyway. I think the heroine overhearing something on her own would've worked just as well without the stupid factor.

Draekon Destiny is the fifth book in the Dragons in Exile series and this is Felicity’s romance. What started off as a fairy tale romance quickly turned into a lot of secrets and a breaking bond. Felicity, Luddux, and Xanthox have much to overcome if they want to bring back their loving and trusting relationship, but can they make it through the webs of half truths, secrets, and past tragedies?

I really enjoyed reading this book. It starts off in present time, but goes back often, to before they met, to happy times together, to when it all started to fall apart. I thought it was well done to develop the sense of frustration as well as an understanding behind all of their actions. Felicity seemed a little misunderstood at times, but I really enjoyed how she saw she was the one holding herself back from her happiness. Lud and Xan had their own issues they had to overcome, but I loved that they worked well together to conquer their communication and their bond! I think my favorite character, though, was Dariux and I hope to get his story, soon! I have loved this series and really enjoyed reading this book!

This could have been a slice

I was really excited when I started reading this because the story started where the last one picked up. I thought we’d just continue forward and not have to worry about recapping everything. Unfortunately, the author decided to recap a lot leading up to this point with frequent flashbacks. Really the flashbacks probably could’ve been cut and this story turned into a nice novella or a short story.

I wasn’t overly fond of the characters. Felicity was a victim who refused to take the responsibility of clearing up any misunderstandings. Poor little human. One mate stood idly by and let lies and omission of facts fester. The other mate withheld stupid stuff and seemed oblivious to why anyone was upset.

I can’t even say this book moved the series forward. More than anything, it focused on bring people together.

Once again, curiosity moves me to the next book. The overall story line is still intriguing. It’s the writing style that continues to keep me from giving this 5 stars or in this case 4 stars, since the story didn’t really progress and little seemed to be at stake other than the mating bond.

All the feels

This one, I wasn't sure I was going to be able to get through. It's basically a sad story most of the way through it. Like the hardest part of a love story, when the love has gone wrong somehow but the characters haven't figured out yet why it did and no one's talking to each other. It's like your stuck in that for most of the book. Plus there's a lot of back and forth with flashbacks. Not a bad way to tell a story, but you definitively have to be paying attention.
Also, Felicity is kid of a catty be-otch and she even admits it sometimes. Luddox is being a selfish butthead, not thinking about his mate's feelings when he's trying to get what he needs, at least at first. Xanthox never learned how to show love properly, not really his fault. Men are behind the curve in that department to begin with, but then you add douche canoe parents who think that love is only shown with expensive gifts... Well, what can I say?
I did actually like this story, it was just a lot harder to get through than the others, at least for me. It's necessary for the story line, so I don't recommend skipping it.

The series just keeps getting better. I do not know any other way to put it. Except please started the first book in the series and keep reading. This story is about Felicity, one of the human women volunteers from earth in a deal with the Zorahns. They never made it to the planet, instead they crash landed on a prison planet where she found her mates, Xanthox and Luddox. Of course everyone has differences they need to overcome to make it work, but keeping secrets from each other seems to be an art form with these three. And until the secrets come out the relationship is at risk. And Felicity has a secret now that she really can’t keep to her self for too long. I really enjoy this series, not only does each book bring mated pairs together but there is such a good story line that runs in the background that is dangerous, could bring war, but it has also brought different fractions of the Draekons together to fight if necessary. This series has wonderful characters, and problems that most can relate to. The backstory runs throughout the books and is a continuation, but the mates always have their happily ever after.

I'm torn over what rating to give this book. I enjoy the series and love that each builds onto each other. But I have to admit that I was still a few chapters into this book thinking that I must have missed a story, because I was just getting more confused. The timeline of past-further pastppresent didn't really help although overall this was needed to fully realise the relationship of Lud, Xan & Felicity. I probably wouldn't recommend reading this as a standalone - there is too much back story to understand and no real explanation of who the other characters are to make it easy to jump into the series. All of that said, I really did enjoy this story more than I initially feared I would & I liked the insights into how the 3 characters are thinking. There was great emotion in the characters.

Because of the nature of this series & that there have now been a number of books, there are so many characters I really feel that a small explanation of who everyone is when reading would be really helpful.

This book about the Draekons was a different kind of read for me, it went back and forth with the past and present making it difficult for me to place where the story was headed. Felicity had her mates Xanthox and Luddux but all wasn't going well for the three of them. Misunderstandings, assumptions and secrets have hurt Felicity and she withdraws thinking she isn't loved and that her mates planned on abandoning her. Lud and Xan know that their mate is angry but have no idea why. With all the miscommunications and secrets it doesn't look good for the trio to be able to make their triad work.
I love my Draekons and all of the Dragon stories, this did end up being a good one too, but I hope the next books don't use the past/present format again, it really made reading the first parts of the book difficult for me to keep tract of the story-line. In the end, it was really a good story about the Draekons and I look forward the next book in the series.

One misunderstanding can make all the difference

This is the first Dragons in Exile book that I've read. Even though it said it was a standalone, I truly believe it's best to have read the other stories. This story focused primarily on Felicity, Lud and Xan's mate-bond relationship, but the others who are also exiled to the planet feature in as well. So, I guess what I'm saying is that you could read it out of order like I just did, but it would be richer if you understood all of the characters and their relationships. Felicity, Lud and Xan are having trouble because they haven't communicated well with each other. Lud and Xan are keeping secrets, and Felicity thinks that no one wants her because of her upbringing. Getting these three to see head to head takes a bit of time, but it's worth it. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book, and I borrowed it through the Kindle Unlimited program too.
