Beauty Kurtzwilde, the manager at the Company, sent her on a goose chase only to have the goose chase Ms. Hump. An angry goose; a mean goose set free to do more damage under the cover of night. I have followed this entire series and although this wasn’t my favorite, it was still a good story highlighting Mrs. Hump and Dr. Elden.
The first six chapters were somewhat confusing for me with the back & forth of time and backstory, but by chapter seven it all started coming together. I like the appearance of Yunior and the brief reference to The Blakemores (I’ve read both of those series too). I thought the ending was well done, with a good lead-in to the next story.
What I don’t like is the book ending at 62%. I think it’s misleading and maybe should be marketed as a full-length novella.
In any event, another good story and I can’t wait to pre-order the next book.
This book triggered me reading what Mrs. Hump endured for love. Elizabeth Perkins thought Trey loved her and would marry her. She allowed him to thoroughly use her for his own gain. When she finally came to her senses, it left her a broken shell of a woman. Trey McAlister turned out to be no more than a high society pimp. She spent her adult life killing for a fee, exacting revenge on her abusers or busting down human trafficking. She vowed that anyone who had previously abused her or women and children would feel the wrath of Mrs. Hump. She built a wall around her heart that would not let love in. She got herself into a life-threatening predicament that brought her the life-saving love she so desperately needed. Elizabeth "Lizzy" Perkins died to give birth to Carol Thomas. She now has the family and love she needs with a man who appreciates her for who she is. He saw her capacity for love.
Dr. Elden Thomas was tired of coming home to his ranch alone. He'd loved Lizzy from the first time he saw her. By saving her life under his medical care, he now had the chance to make his move to convince her to be the woman he saw in her the capacity to be.
This is the first story I've read by Olivia that was totally serious. She usually has some comic relief in her books. But I understand why as abuse and trafficking are no laughing matter, and not to be taken lightly.
NOTE: My favorite excerpt. “Stop it,” she said as tears burned in her eyes. “I’m damaged on so many levels. Who would want to love me? Who would want to bring me home to meet their mother? I’m rotted from the inside out. Please, just let me die.” “I can’t,” he told her. “Letting you die would damage that child and more than likely kill me and the man in the other room. I’m offering you love, Elizabeth. No strings. No conditions. It is not dependent upon what’s between your legs. Open your heart and try to let me in. I will not hurt you.” “Elden, I can’t,” she told him. “I’ve been Ms. Hump too long to be anything other than a weapon. I can’t give you the life you want with children. I’m so broken that God saw fit to allow those horrible men in my younger years to take away my ability to procreate.” “And Miguelito? God saw fit to give you another child to raise and protect. God saw fit to make you into a weapon to rescue other children who were being harmed,” The Doctor said. “Maybe, He saw fit to take away the ability to have your own so you could be His weapon. You could be His Michael to save the babies others have thrown or given away. Maybe, my dearest Elizabeth, he brought me here to Louisville to save you and tell you these things.” .... Elden Thomas did what he’d wanted to do since Slow brought her into the cabin. He climbed into bed beside her, cradling the woman in his arms. The tears she never wanted to let go were now running down her face and she had no shame. In his arms, she felt a peace she’d craved for years. Perhaps it was time to give it all up, to let it all go, and take a cue from Wrong Way to take a seat. “I’ve got you, Elizabeth,” The Doctor said. “Use my strength; hold onto me and I promise to not let go.”

Ms. Hump's story was so unexpected, yet so illuminating. I always wondered why she would slice up Yield, a man she loved, and that man deeply loved her, as well. The full-circle of their story was a bumpy ride, but it leveled out with a smooth landing. Ms. Hump is an assassin working for many of the Directions, but mainly with The Archangel. Ms. Hump is also working to end sex trafficking of children from Central America and that has put her in the crosshairs of Beauty Kurtzwilde. Beauty has decided to traffic Hump to a client who collects women for sexual servitude. Hump reaches out to Karli to activate the SE technicians. And of course, they show up and show out. Elden Thomas, the technicians' doctor, and Hump's sometimes hookup, wants more from Hump. When she is gravely injured during the trafficking debacle, Elden shows up to care for Hump while the technicians take care of the threat against Hump and save the trafficked children. Then Yunior shows up. THAT YUNIOR!! Elden and Hump get a new life together and loose ends are clipped or terminated. Hump, now Carol, thanks to the Archangel, gets her unexpected new beginning and HEA. I LOVE Olivia Gaines and her Technicians Series is addictive. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book and the WHOLE series. Thank you for these gifts of inspiration and redemption.
Holy crap the background on the circumstances that brought about Ms. Hump was so not what I expected, like WHOA🤯😱. There are scenes that is triggering which leads her into the path.
Lizzy endured some deeply humiliating, emotionally and physically damaging abuse by Trey McAllister who’s an absolutely disgusting man😖😤😡. Lizzy becoming Ms. Hump certainly gave her purpose not just to heal some of her own wound but to avenge other woman who’d experienced a similar circumstance👍🏽. When she’s injured helping a young boy from being trafficked all she can muster is her internal voice to call out for help and luckily one person heard her🥰. I love that Dr Elden came to her rescue to help in her physical recovery as well as her mental and emotional health❤️😊. He is exactly what she needed and her decision to change her name and settling down was perfect😘
It was enlightening to learn about Ms. Hump and to get more info on what happened with Mr. Yield. As always I loved see some of the technicians make their appearance. I’m looking forward to the next book.
You wonder what moves people who have moved from being controlled to being in control to cross the boundary into betrayal and then you stumble on Beauty Kurtzwilde! This time though she set out to harm a technician so connected that one call brought an end to all of her dreams! That Ms. Hump almost lost her life rescuing trafficked children endeared her to some very powerful South American problem solvers who took it seriously what was being done to those children!! You had to know heads were going to roll all across this nation and around the globe. In the end some lives were dispensed with, others enjoyed a new beginning and still some got a glimpse of their life to come. I so enjoyed reading Blind Side i.e. Ms. Hump's story and a snippet into the future life of Mr. Slow which I believe like this story will be a best seller! You Olivia Gaines, have done it once again thank you so much this story was well worth the wait!!!!!
The book was short and wasn’t solely focused on Ms Stump’s story. The amount of action was also minimal, actually others had action more than Ms Stump. We never got to know why she sliced Brody’s face, and I didn’t like how she didn’t explain to him what was going on with her in the end. He deserved an explanation given their history and after he went to retrieve her necklace for her. All the others, even after they settle down carry on helping in some capacity but not her, why? My main issue with this book is her lack of accountability. She blamed everyone (especially old white men) for how she basically turned into a prostitute, but she never acknowledged her bad choices. She’s the one who was greedy and wanted a life a luxury and she’s also the one who accepted to sleep with people for Trey. She encountered sick men but at the beginning she agreed . How she thought Trey would marry her after using her is a mystery. Her accepting all these gifts in exchange for sex also made her complicit.
I read almost all written by Ms. Olivia Gaines, therefore I am familiar with multiple series and the characters thereof. Blind side was unexpected and surprising in a number of ways. Blind Side is book 9 in The Technicians series, therefore characters from earlier books appear and figure prominently. Ms. Hump, Lizzie kept jogging my mind until I remembered the character she was from the Blakemore Files! It was thrilling to connect her to that beloved series. Learning Lizzie's history was painful and sad, but made her anger so clear. the It was a fantastic reunion of characters from other times and places and how they connected and resolved. If you have not read other Ms. Gaines books, this isn't the one to start with. But if you know and love the ride, this will be a good treat for a super fan. Blind Side is a good story with meaning , history and resolution, and importantly, hope.
Never too broken to love and be loved. Cotton panties can be comfortable, breathable, strong and long lasting. I liked 'Carol's' thought process on the cotton panties. The doctor was all about the gift (Lizzie) not the wrapping. I love Olivia's books. Her stories make you laugh, cry and can be also thought provoking. Thank you for sharing your gift and also helping us realize that human trafficking is very much real. Young women (and men) be careful and parents keep you children close.
… but its been a minute since Ive read her earlier books. It would have helped to have had more detailed reminders of the older characters earlier on in this book. Great story telling! Ms. Gaines does it again! Needless to say it helps to have read all the way through this series from the beginning, as well as other titles in her collection for the best experience. Start at the beginning of her books and work your way through. You wont be disappointed!
You have done it again Ms Gaines! This book was worth the wait. The twists were very unexpected, Yunior was a treat. Yunior got a chance to kill not as much as he wanted to but it was great to read. Lizzy found love and the love story between Elden and Lizzy was sweet. I highly recommend this book to my fellow romance readers you will not be disappointed it is truly worth reading!
Lizzie really deserved the life she received in the end. Everyone wants happiness, peace, love and she ended up with all those things and more. I am glad she formed a bond with Karli because her ending would have been much different. I truly enjoy when the other characters are involved because it makes the stories that more interesting. I love when Yunior is around.
Good read! But it seems as if the story was rushed.
Seems as if the story is shorter than the other stories. I like fast paced stories but it seems that too much is going on but time wasn't taken to tell it all clearly. Slow's story was supposed to be next but this was pushed out.
Slightly different from the other Technician books. I'd say it was more serious because of Hump's (Lizzie) back story. Either was it was still enjoyable and of course I loved the interaction from some of the other signs along with Yunior (love the Delgado men). Carol, Bud and The Doctor got their happily ever after.
Once again your storyline is awesome. Love this series, well written and worth the purchase. Surgeries are always asking would you recommend to others. I answer yes because you want to read the whole book not skip to the . Storylines moves right along. Loved brining characters from other stories within this book.
Another great adventure in the world of The Technicians! I am so glad that Hump found love to heal all of the pain and suffering she endured. The Doctor was just the man to heal her body and soul. It's always nice to catch up with the other Technicians. Now on to the next adventure.
It just was not good, plot was rushed. I kept waiting for something else to happen. I had to go back and read several chapters over in case I miss something. This one should’ve been done or rewritten or something. I will hesitate before I read the next technicians series.
I waited to the wrong book. I thought I was getting a book about Mr. Slow and Cherry. Instead of that, I got boring Mrs. Hump. This one made me want to skip a lot of the story, it was so boring. I did like how she decided to marry him. Are we really getting Slow story this time? Are you teasing us again?😠are him
Ms. Gaines ~ really gave us insight into a horrible world of sex trafficking of women and children. Ms. Hump was beautiful, yet her beauty was an asset, and a danger that shaped her into the weapon that she became. Well done, Ms. Gaines ! Onward to Blind Spot, Slow has his own little speed bump to deal with ! 🤣🤣❤
I have enjoyed each of the Technician stories; it was good to see Ms. Hump as someone other than the friend to Falling Rock and Slow. Her history was a bit dramatic for me, but it helped me understand her walk. The Doctor proved he was more than another handsome face!
Hump went thru so much. I loved this story that showcased the femme Fatale Ms. Hump. She lived a hard life full of men who used and let her down, but she used the anger to get revenge and rescue women and children. Loved the appearance of characters from other books. Can't wait for the next technician story.
Loved it, now we know why Lizzie (Hump) acted the way she did. Thanks for the back story. Was very happy to have Yunior Delgado show up and do what he does best. Also was happy to see a snippet of the Blakemores’. It brought back so many great memories. This book is full of surprises. Loved it
Amazingly written story as is in all The Technicians set! I was so engaged I couldn't do anything else! I don't enjoy sharing parts of the story cause it's best for a person to read on their own! Just know that this book is a must read! Can't wait for the next one in the series!
Ur series r the bomb can't wait until the winter if u haven't read these series u need to because they will keep u in suspense not only does it has drama, violence and sex the story lines are out of this world I love this woman
I have been waiting for Lizzie story since Mr Yield book and also her appearance in The Blakemore book that had the white tiger. I am not disappointed in her story. Now I am looking forward to Slow book Blind Spot.
It was only 69% of the content. I appreciate the preview of Blind Spot but the price should reflect the amount of content OR buyers should be alerted to the brevity of the story.
I 💜 the Technicians!!! This series is captivating, funny, intriguing, vengeful, deadly, resourceful, dedicated and very entertaining!! Olivia Gaines knocked it out of the park again as usual. 10/10 💃🏽👏🏽💃🏽
This series gets better and better!! Background and info on how the Signs became who they are. Got to visit with characters from previous books. Loved It!! Ms Gaines continues to out do herself.
I love all the technicians books. However this one seemed to be all over the place for the first 1/4 of the story. There were way too many characters and the timeline was choppy. However one of my favorites was called out to help out!! Love Yunior!! He’s so cool.

Whew boy, this was something, especially going into MS Hump's backstory. I like her and her resilience. I hope we find out a little more about Doc too. Looking forward to the next one.
Reading this series and I'm not disappointed. The characters are very good and they flow together. Have enjoyed all of them. Recommend you buy this series. Adding to my collection.
