The only fun parts about these books now is the little epilouge and the end of every book.
Tiger rock was stupid. Not only is the whole AR, VR thing completly drawn out by now but its also not subtle at all that its the mimic thats behind it. This story also makes the mimic look more supernaturel which I personally dont like. I like the mimic bc it was atleast a bit interesting that it manipulates the Pizzaplex bc its A.I was inserted into it, but the ending made it felt like the mimic has some sort of supernaturel superpowers, which is stupid.
The Monty within was so boring, it felt like nothing happened at all but not only that but the ending came so out of nowhere and was so stupid. It had a interesting idea but fell down the second it started to execute the idea.
Bleeding heart was the worce one. I even guessed the ending pretty early on in the story. I hate to repeat myself like these books repeat the whole VR thing but those Minibots were really really stupid. I know the feeling of having a crush on somebody but if there literally TINY ROBOTS PIERCING THROUGH YOUR SKIN THEN YOU SHOULD PROBABLY TRY TO GET THEM OUT. Also I know this sounds disgusting but why was only his skin, heart and what I think was some muscle mass at the end? What about every other organ? Or his whole skeleton? Just something I wanted to point out.
Blah Blah Blah im slowly losing my mind.

this was actually my least favorite one yet and that's saying something lmao
Tiger Rock: this one is honest to god hilarious to me because what do you mean the mimic created a whole vr experience where the glamrocks are just giant furries and tiger rock is basically his fursona. what even is happening. see this is the type of mind-numbing substance you can only experience via these books 😭 I simultaneously could tell you everything that happened here but also nothing at all.
The Monty Within: first of all the title kills me aksldsjdkj... but this one was just dumb like idk what else to say
Bleeding Heart: this story had potential but like many of the others it lost its spark due to the boring writing style and the exaggeration on body horror. highlight of this was the fact that they dressed the pizzaplex up for christmas 💀
it's a shame that the majority of these stories are either poorly written, don't hold a lot of relevance to the games, or barely feature the characters we desperately need more answers on. some of the stories like GGY and The Mimic were awesome because they directly tied in to the current game lore. I wish we got more of that. honestly I just want to finish this series so that I can be caught up and be (temporarily) free
I get how the other books have taken some dark tones but something about that last story “bleeding heart” literally made my skin crawl and stomach drop while I read through it, how sad and visceral. The main tiger rock story did end up being a tad too confusing on how it ties in but the epilogue and the weird Frankenstein/monty story were both solid in this one as well. Only one more book to go in the series!
You know, every time i pick up one of these FNAF anthology books, i believe that maybe once they won't be awful. and almost every single time i'm disappointed. To the shock of absolutely no-one, all three of these stories are terrible.
Story 1: A kid for no reason gets hunted down by a new animatronic called tiger rock that wants to rip off his arms for absolutely no reason. yep. that's the entire plot. they never really explain WHY this tiger wants to rip off his arms, he just kind of does. This is definitely the most of the "the guy doesn't deserve the bad stuff that happens to him" of the three stories. he literally does nothing to deserve this. it's not even a morality tale. it's a "sometimes children get murdered for no reason" story. which i GUESS could be scary...if every once in a while a kid made it out alive so i didn't know whether this would be a "they survive" or not. it leaves no tension or mystery when you know every character that's in these are screwed.
Story 2: Half of teen's brain gets monty gator stuck in it and it's trying to take over. This one spends like 10 pages with the MC describing the scientific logistics of this plot and it's exactly as boring as it sounds. it's like the author's trying to justify or explain how or why this situation can even happen. The second half is him after being stupid at fazbear's losing his mind and his friend, and, i mean these aren't really spoilers because it's in every one of these stories, has a horrible ending. It's also terrible.
Story 3: Okay, while the first two were AWFUL at least they had something to DO with The pizzaplex. Story one is about an animatronic hunting him, story 2 is about the mind of one of the animatronics taking over his brain. Story 3 BARELY has anything to do with FNAF. Like, the MC goes to the pizzaplex in the beginning for like 4 pages, and then they never go back and deal with these tiny robots that carve out his skin because a girl he likes, likes tattoos and wants to impress her and somehow the tiny robots know exactly what design he wants carved on him. how? i have no idea. this is by far the stupidest one too. He keeps getting cut and not once goes "hmmm i should probably go to a doctor or something" he just...you know..doesn't. because otherwise the story wouldn't happen. If you can't tell, i felt like this one in particular was really stupid.
All three of the MC's in this are all generic. Some make worse decisions than others, and weirdly enough, all three are boys in this one. This isn't usually the case as they normally switch it up between girls and guys, but for some reason, this one's only guys. why? i don't know. This is especially cringy in the 3rd one when the kid is super simpy for the girl and it's very very stupid.
The only saving grace in this one is that it read very very fast.
I think the problem with these are, there's 2 ways to do these stories.
1. The person earns their horrible fate through actions 2. oh well, bad stuff happens to good people.
For the first one, nobody here really deserved their awful fate, especially the first kid. So that kind of throws that one out the window.
for the second one, if you do this, like i said before, every once in a while, you need one of these kids to escape and live, because if you don't, there's no tension, because you know every single one will die, so you don't care about stakes since there are none.
All in all, these stories were just bad. Whoever writes these really needs to go back to the drawing board. They're not unnerving, scary, or deserved for the MC's. even for the younger audience it's made for. Honestly, the best story i read out of ALL of these was "Into the pit" (the first of the 3 in that one) and that wasn't from THIS series of the pizzaplex. that was from the other fnaf series. the rest have all been downhill from there.
I found this to be a very middle of the road volume, about on par with volumes 3 and 5. I think the characters are really strong in this one, but the actual plots are pretty weak, and the ending of each story felt very out of left field. Like, there's surprise twists and then there's whatever was going on here.
I like the cover art. The forced perspective is a little janky, but I can vibe with it.
- "Tiger Rock" gets a 3 star rating from me. I liked Kai and Tiger Rock, our protagonist and antagonist of the story, but the story itself just sort of meandered around and often didn't make a lot of sense. The ending especially didn't make sense, with no build up and no payoff. I understand what the writing team was trying to do with this story (trying to show the readers that two characters we've seen are actually the same character), but A) I think it was unnecessary -- we already knew they were both the same character, and B) I just don't think this story even succeeds at that. All in all, a fun idea, but ultimately a letdown.
- "The Monty Within" gets a 3 star rating from me. We have to sit through a character's entire nonsensical thesis paper and presentation, and that's just not what I signed up for. The ending also feels extremely random and ends abruptly, not really following through on itself. But again, I loved the characters, and I would have loved to have seen more interactions with Kane and Monty. (I almost gave this one 4 stars just because Monty Gator was in it so much and I think he's a lot of fun, but I finally had to be honest with myself and knock it down a star.)
- "Bleeding Heart" also gets a 3 star rating from me. On the one hand, there are no recognizable animatronics in this one, and it's barely related to the Pizzaplex as a whole, but on the other hand I really liked the idea of the tiny robots, and I thought they were a fun addition. Characters were kind of annoying, though. And, while the ending feels random and is largely caused by characters being petty and stupid, I kinda like the creative extremism of it. (Don't read this one if you have a weak stomach. Nothing actually happens on-page, but the aftermath is pretty gory.)
And I thought the epilogue was actually pretty good! Definitely one of the better ones, anyway. Very interested in seeing how that story eventually wraps up.
- story 1 (Tiger Rock) - 7.5/10 - the actual story was good, and the twist was also really nice and kinda unexpected. However, this story was kind of boring and I found myself dozing off a couple of times. Idk, it may have just been me, but I thought it was more mid. Like I said, the story was okay, the twist was good, but the ending also kind of sucked. Like it was good, but it left me with some unanswered questions. Normally when books do this, it would be fine because it’s meant to be like that, but like I genuinely have questions lmao. As previously stated, I just thought it was mid
Story 2 (the Monty Within) - 8/10 - once again, this story was just not that exciting. It’s exactly like the last story. The plot was good, and the development was good, but the actual story in retrospect was just…. Boring. Idk, I felt like it wasn’t played out as much as it could have been. There was potential though. And though the ending was good, it just felt cut off, and the last line sucks, but whatever. Like I said, the plot was good, but the overall story was okay.
Story 3 (bleeding heart) - 8/10 - this story was really good. The plot was good, the twist that happened with the boys was really good, and the story kept being interesting the whole time while reading it. I also really really liked how the main character, Danny, just kept getting more and more manipulated / obsessive throughout the story. The ONLY thing I didn’t like that much, was how Danny’s love interest, Daisy, was like a pick me. With her one stupid star tattoo and getting tattoo magazines and like getting a cat or hummingbird. Idk it just seemed so pick me, that I ended up not liking her at all. The other thing I didn’t like was the ending. It was really good- the last line, but the way Daisy followed the trail was weird lmao.
Tiger Rock genuinely frightened me. The ending mostly. It reminded me a lot of that one story in a previous FNAF book where the girl broke into the VR machine before it was functional, then the whole world got cancer. The idea of not knowing whether or not this kid was in the real world or still in the machine was unsettling.
The Monty Within only served to make me dislike Monty more as a character. I cringed a lot at this story, I never felt scared, just really embarrassed. Markiplier was right to laugh at Monty during Ruin, what a stupid character.
Bleeding Heart wasn't what I was expecting - the synopsis on Audible was of a totally different story - but the body horror was impeccable.
The epilogue is still spooky AF. The Mimic is fascinating.
I still don't know what age group this is designed for.
Y no me gusta nada.
Themes: 4/5 Romance: NA Spice Factor: 0 Enjoyment Factor: 4/5
Audiobook: 4/5 Review: The first two stories had all the creepy factors I want and love in these novellas. They kept me interested, and the audiobook added a whole new level of creepiness to the stories. They also tied into other stories from previous books. The final story never really caught my attention, and while this one had the mimic in it, I felt like it was really random, and I wanted to be in the others.
Tiger Rock - Not as cool as the cover, unfortunately. Under Construction did the AR concept more inventively. The future of the pizzaplex looked wild, though.
The Monty Within - A silly story with a high-brow concept. Highly enjoyed the sci-fi-ness of it. It especially was a blast when Monty went full Monty, or, should I say, half Monty.
Bleeding Heart - A good story with a solid emotional backbone and a dark, symbolic undercurrent. I do wish the self-harm theme was more developed, but I appreciate the effort.
This one rocks, rawr.

Ngl I think this particular collection of stories really cements the Mimic as a terrifying villain moving forward in FNAF. It just saddens me that its introduction in the games wasn't handled with the same complexity because it has just the same amount of tragic derailment into horror that the Afton family had.
All of these are mid. As much as I love the series, they are not improving. Tiger rock was a mix of step closer and drowning (both stories in previous books). The Monty within wasn’t to bad original enough. Bleeding heart was definitely the best (not including the after story) nice and romantically twisted.
I’m fine with graphic content but why was this one so wildly violent? Pizzaplex is mostly a step up from Frights but I can’t say I’m impressed with low quality prose for 50 pages then 5 pages of violence against children
I feel like the first and second stories were wack, but the last one, Bleeding Heart, was dope. I paid attention from beginning till end because it was so interesting and I like the gore that it included!

Overused cliches, poor writing and dumber then rocks charcters. There was no saving grace to this novel. I havent read a book that ive disliked more then this one
