Re-published with the title "Chosen by the Billionaire".

Her billionaire romances are the perfect escape, offering a taste of luxury and adventure. Maxine introduces heroes who may have a dark past, but are always balanced by a lighter side. And her leading ladies? They're strong, independent women who may be a little broken, but always find their way to love.

Art is trying to keep Violet safe. The less she knows, the safer she'll be, right? WRONG! A series of events unfold that Art didn't see coming and changes things between them.
Entertaining read, but I wanted to know more about David. His exit was too tidy. There had to be some dirt there and I so wanted to know what it was! 🤔
I thought Henri's Merged series the best in Billionaire romance books but her Untamed Billionaire series is just as good. There is the required hot rich guy but each is a different man with different characteristic. I'm especially fond of the way Henri keeps me invested in the main character's love story. You hope the HEA but worry it won't happen. These are books I will read more than once!
I was disappointed with these characters, I wanted a big love story, but I didn't get it!! They were really annoying at time and I'm so gutted because I could have really fallen for Art-Thor!!!
Violet just sold her business, as she is due to become the wife of a wealthy man. Her fiancé says she doesn’t need to work. However, she’s now seeing things differently, and noticing the cracks in their relationship, so now she’s looking for a way out.
Arthur is a tech genius and socially inept. He’s working a case he’s not really wanting to, the pay off just means it needs to be done.
These two meet when Arthur saves Violet from a mugging, then meet again at her friends café. I like how the author deals with their angsty start to their relationship. You can clearly feel Arthurs lack of social expectations, and Violets frustration with him.
I liked this book, and how it shows the maturing of these two into the people they wanted or needed to become. Sometimes thing get a bit convoluted and not easy to follow hence the four stars.
Beguiling: This was an outstanding debut novel and an exciting start to what looks like will be a fabulous series. It was exciting and captured my attention from the beginning. I enjoyed all of the secrets and layers of mystery and intrigue. Their relationship was a tumultuous one especially as Art had such a difficult time opening up and sharing things with Vi. However I fell in love with them both and was rooting for them all the way. I really look forward to seeing what this talented new author comes up with next. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a good read that kept me interested. The plot was a little different and the storyline flowed smoothly throughout. There was a lot of drama with twist and turns. Art was sweet considering his lack of relationship experience. I loved when he just started spilling generic facts to help calm himself down. I like Violet as well. This was a 3.5 star for me. Not quite a 3 but not a 4 either. I look forward to reading other books by this author.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book.
★ “he’d never felt like this. It was a foreign feeling. A variable.” ★
—>>> This storyline did not flow that smoothly for me, but I did find that Art’s obsession with Vi was what kept driving the story, along with his “interesting facts” verbal spewing caused by his social ineptness. Vi’s character left a bit much to be desired for me, so I did not really connect with her beyond her challenges.
This story is heartfelt and kept me glued to Art and Vi. They are drawn to each other but don't act upon their feelings at first. He saves her from a mugging and their relationship takes off but there are a few twists and turns in the way before they get what they want from each other. It is a well written story that had me in their corner from start to finish.

This book has everything I look for in a good romance book. The main characters are flawed, but they have that spark that makes for hot romance. Hackers, sexy times, mobsters, kidnapping, and pastries kept me busy reading until I finished. I think it was well written and I really enjoyed this book. Can’t wait to read more from this new author!
1 Star 2024 This book is just so messy. It’s a bit of a hot mess that I can’t stop ready, like a train wreck that I can’t look away from. The h was still like sorta with her fiancé because she doesn’t have the balls for the clean break up when she met the H. The H is still freaking married while sleeping with the h so yeah it’s so messy and the plot is all over the place.

Not a cliffhanger. Art was a sweet socially awkward character, that made it different yet endearing and I loved that aspect of it. Violet was just Violet, she really did nothing for me at all. It was a decent read all in all.
I enjoyed this story. The lack of communication between the lovebirds became tiresome with all the back and forth. By the last one, I honestly didn't know if they should be together!
I liked the characters, but didn't care for the rough sex. People say they love another and yet hurt them. Then the person says they like being roughed up. Not something I care to read about.
I couldn't stop reading once I started, it sucked me in. Art is so quirky, the author really nailed it when she created him. Loved their love story. Can't wait to read the next.
Excellent read from beginning to the end. The characters and the story plots allow the reader to become a part of the story in a small way. Looking forward to the next book by the author
Loved the complexity of the characters and the humor
Interesting storyline and, as a geek with several creative artistic friends, I found the interplay of Art's and Vi's personalities amusing. Well done and looking forward to the next in the series.
So, this is the first book I've read that was in the third person. I tried to like it, but it's just not for me. The story line was good, but I think the POV kinda took away from the book.
