After a recent breakup, Camryn Southern is coerced into attending a singles' cruise to shake back and dive back into the dating pool. She expected nothing more from the trip than relaxing in the crystal blue, wide-open ocean.

A brief encounter with Sylvester Cameron, her much older and still very handsome former professor who she had a crush on years ago, shows Camryn that he sees her for the thirty-year-old woman she is now, and not the barely-legal adult he taught years before, giving her the impression that her fantasies could turn into a reality.

When you’re on a cruise for vacation, it’s only fair that you read a vacation romance that takes place on a cruise ship right? Well, that’s exactly what I did. I absolutely loved Silver Lining! What I really loved about this book it is that it, somewhat, paralleled the cruise I was on. So, that made reading it ten times more enjoyable. After calling off her engagement to her toxic azz ex, Camryn’s cousin/bestie strong arms her into going on a singles cruise to forget about Victor's controlling azz. While begrudgingly enjoying some fun in the sun, Camryn runs into her former English Literature Professor. The same professor who had a starring role in her x-rated fantasies back in the day. Sly the Silver Fox (Professor Cameron to y’all) is still sexy as ever and ready to let Camry know she may be young but, she’s ready for everything he has to offer. Professor Zaddy was exactly what Camryn needed to let go of her heartache and start embracing new possibilities. Silver Lining was the grown and sexy read I didn't know I needed. It was the perfect age gap romance that will have you booking a singles cruise to find your own seasoned professor. I loved how the story flowed and, although it takes place in a short amount of time, the attraction and romance between Camryn and Sly still built up organically and was completely believable. The author’s attention to details were spot on. I could easily picture everything happening in real time. This was such a great vacation romance. I loved every part of Camryn and Sly’s cruise ship journey and was ecstatic she was able to find love again . I just hate we have to wait until 2023 before we find out what’s going on with Gia and Grant. I already know those two are comin’ with all the drama.

I Truly Enjoyed This Story…

Man, this was a really good story….this is actually my first read from this author and I really enjoyed this…I can’t wait to see what happens with Cousin Gia & Grant….in the mean time, I’m going to get check out her catalog….

My second read was the new audiobook release narrated by Wesleigh & Myles….still a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Star Review….In fact, the audiobook really makes me anticipate Gia’s story.

I have been too busy to read for fun, so when my friend Sil recommended this to her followers I HAD to get it! And basically devoured it, haha. Age gap teacher/(former) student romance and they meet up again on a singles cruise?? GIMME.

This was very spicy 🔥🔥🔥 and Sly and Cammy have such sweet chemistry. Despite the miscommunication trope, I am happy there was a HFN ending 😌

This was such a fun story and I LOVED LOVED LOVED it soooooooo much!!!! This was my first read by Chassilyn and will not be my last.

Camryn has recently turned 30 and thought she had life all figured out. Well after ending a 3 year relationship that lasted 3 years too long, she allows her cousin to convince her to join her on a singles cruise on some “how Stella got her groove back” ish!

Sylvester wasn’t looking for love at all and instead was focused on getting his boy back in the game after his 12 year marriage ended in heartbreak! He had no idea that he would be the one finding love! Heyyyyy Professor 🥰🥰🥰

The professor was a woman’s dream! He was so in tune with Camryn and her wants, needs and desires. He’s in the right profession that’s for sure because he can teach a thing or two about how to treat a woman!! Take note men! This is how it’s done!!! If this how they coming on the singles cruises I need to leave the husband and kids at home and pack a bag asap 🤣🤣🤣 jk! But for real this was such a lighthearted, hilariously funny story! I can’t wait for Gia and Grants story because they were the highlight of Silver Lining! In the meantime let me jump into this Halloween update!

Unexpected love

Heyyyyyy Professor!!😝

Camryn almost a decade ago had a huge crush on Professor Cameron aka Sylvester. The professor didn't play those type games, so her crush went nowhere. Fast forward to the present and they find themselves on a singles cruise with a new dynamic. The titles of Professor and Student no longer apply. The attraction however is very much still there for Camryn. Professor is now able to look at her like the grown woman she is, and he is feeling what he sees. These two build a connection quickly, the sexual tension is high, and the age gap isn't a thought. Once they cross that line they are insatiable. Good lawd Professor was everything, that age/experience came in handy. Listen, a bald black man with that salt and pepper beard is my weakness!!! Please judge yaself. He was everything. Although Camryn was a little wishy washy for my taste, I gave her a pass because she was in fact young. I enjoyed their evolution. I loved that he made her feel empowered to be herself. She was unguarded and free and THAT is what love feels like.

Camryn is fresh out of an engagement and her friend Gia has the perfect recovery idea… A singles cruise. What better way to forget a terrible relationship than by having some fun in the sun. While enjoying all the amenities that a cruise provides, Camryn runs into her former professor. Professor Cameron, still looks as intellectual and hot as ever. Camryn had it bad for her professor back in the day, but she tried to pass it off as a silly crush. That is until she sees just how fine the man REALLY is. What was just supposed to be a little flirting and ego boosting, turns into so much more. Well… it actually turns into 7 days and 6 nights of fun in the sun and lots of hunching on a seasoned zaddy.

This was an age gap romance that will have you looking for your own seasoned zaddy. The characters were fun and likable, and the author added a splash of humor in to give her book the perfect balance. And when I say balance… I mean to make you not focus on the erotic scenes that are included. Great read! I hope we can get a spin off so readers can see how Gia’s situation ends.

You want a fun summer-y romance novella that has so much steam and romance? GET THIS ASAPPPP. Silver Lining follows Cam who just got to this single's cruise with her cousin/bestie to forget about her awful ex-fiancé. She isn't really feeling it at the beginning but that soon changes when she reunites with her college professor, Sylvester. It has been so many years since she last saw him, but seeing him again reminds her of the crush she once harbored for him. Sylvester is tall, tattooed, sexy as hell, and so amazing! You'll fall madly in love with him from the very first time you see him on page.

ALSOOOO he loves spending money on Cam. I love to see it. YES GET IT GIRL! She sees something and holds it? He buys it. He wants to teach her to play at the casino? He buys the sits next to her, so no one sits as their table. He makes a SPA APPOINTMENT FOR HER AND HER BESTIE BECAUSE HE KNOWS SHE'S STRESSED. Excuse meee? Where is my Sly!!!

I highly recommend everyone to get it. It's short, smutty, and full of awesome, joyful moments. I loved every moments I spent reading it and I want to thank Taima for talking about it on her social media because that's the way I found it!

I'm excited about the sequel because it's going to be about Gia, Cam's bestie/cousin, and Grant, Sylvester's best friend. AN ACCIDENTAL PREGNANCY ROMANCE??? You know I'm already there. It's supposed to come out late this year or early next year, so I'm super excited for it!

Cam x Sly

These things never happen on any previous cruises I've gone on…not that I was ever looking, but just saying, it could've been nice…

But this was such an enjoyable read. It had a tasteful amount of drama, lots of laughter, lots of love and lots of well written bedroom fun😉. This is my third book by this author and I love her style. She definitely hasn't disappointed me.

There's nothing like reconnecting with the older professor you lusted after in college to set the mood right!

Cammy is dragged on a singles' cruise by her best friend after ending her engagement. Cammy is dreading the cruise but tries to be a good sport. That becomes even easier when she spots Professor Sylvester (Sly is his nickname) with his bestie too. Cammy had a crush on him in college but he was off-limits then. Now that she's grown and he's her former professor, Professor Sly is ready to teach his old student a few things.

I had too much fun reading this. The chemistry between Cammy and Sly was immediate and electric. Age didn't matter, because the good professor was in shape like a man who was half his age, and I was here for it. Sly was everything Cammy was missing in her last relationship, and it was sweet to see her spoiled and embraced for who she was.

The audio had me BLUSHING. Definitely recommend if you prefer listening that way.

Yes! ❤ First, I must say how much I loved Gia! She is the best friend that every woman needs! Ready to turn up at a moments notice, that comforting shoulder to lean on, your hype woman and ready to slap the Vaseline on her face if necessary! 🤣 Camryn needed a break after dealing with that 🤡 Victor! However, she was a bit reluctant about this cruise, as she felt it was for desperate folks! Bumping into Professor Cameron, was everything she didn't know she needed! The very man she used to fantasize about was right before her eyes, and giving her a smoldering glare! 😍 These two were fun, sexy and nasty as hell! I was here for it all! Now, that almost plot twist stopped my heart, you hear me? Whew........ that would have been some messy ish! Loved this couple, and hope to see them again. Miss Gia and Grant huh? Silver Lining was worth the 4.8 stars

The rating I gave this story was worth all 4.8 stars. I took off points for Camryn being a big baby. The Silver lining was about an older man falling for a younger lady. Please quit whining! Sly was in his 40s, and Cam was 30. So they were both Adults. Although he was her former professor, that was many years ago. The couple met again on a singles cruise and hit it off quickly. After the 7-day cruise, a seed of happily ever after was planted. The relationship was in a great place at the end of the story.

I ate this upppppppp! This book had me hooked from the moment they crossed paths again. Camryn (30) & Sylvester (47) chemistry was so felt! Sylvester had me flustered lol There were some minor grammatical errors so that’s why it wasn’t five stars.

And now that their ages are less taboo she gets to know him in every way she wanted to in college. And as a professor of course Sly is going to teach her everything she needs to know

Woo.. talk about GROWN and sexy. I love romance books with older characters. From what I remember Sly was in his late 40's and Cam in her mid thirties? Yeah these two together had flames coming off my damn kindle. I loved their dynamic, and the adventures they had together. They also had great communication and the cruise setting wasn't lost in the story. I also really enjoyed the boundary sly made clear as far as how he remained professional when he was her professor. And was not folding on that. I enjoyed it, it was short but definitely a book I want physically and not just on my kindle.
Nice cover as well. Highly recommend.

Laugh out loud good!

First, everyone should have a ride or die buddy like Gia! She made a boring cruise so much fun for Cammy after her broken engagement.

I loved the irony that Cammy's supposedly, young ex-boyfriend, acted more like an old "fuddy-duddy" than the Professor. Cammy and Sly's journey was captivating to watch, until the knock on the door revealed two people Cammy and Sly never, ever wanted to see again.

Awesome story, except for the overuse of the word "saliva".

4 Stars! This was a cute story! I enjoyed Camryn and Sylvester! Falling for a professor seems like the move if he’s fine! I enjoyed seeing their relationship grow while they were on the singles cruise. Everything just felt good! The story takes a twist at about 80% where we hit a bump in the road for Sylvester and Camryn. My mouth dropped at the possible demise of the relationship 😩. Only hint I’ll give is that it dealt with both their exes 🥴. This story was good and I’m also intrigued to read the follow up on her cousin Gia! 👀 this is my first time reading this author but I’m definitely here to read more of her catalog in the future.

For one, the way the author described everything had me feeling like I was in the cruise with them. I loved the chemistry between Camryn and Sly. I also enjoyed the relationship Camryn and Gia had. There were laughs, steamy sex, and a smidge of drama. I didn't want to put the book down even though I had things to do. I would recommend this book.
