The M & M Chronicles
The Married Men Chronicles Vol. 1

What happens when four best friend venture into business together? The unimaginable.
Donovan, Jamal, Marquis and Demitrius are the proud owners of the exclusive men’s club The Phoenix. From the outside the club looks like your regular men’s only social club, but inside it’s a different story. If you are so lucky to qualify for the exclusive membership that goes for a whopping $50,000 per year, you are treated to the experience of a lifetime.
The Phoenix is the brainchild of Donovan James, a married successful business owner with a young family. You would think that Donovan would be happy living the life he always dreamt of. But that wasn’t enough for him or his boys. After years of habitual cheating, side chick drama and one-night stands, Donovan created the ultimate men’s fantasy, The Phoenix. The Phoenix is the playground for distinguished men on the hunt for any and everything other than their wives. It is the gateway to unspeakable pleasures, a place for men to be men, without the worry of phone cameras, invasion of privacy, side chicks playing games, and most importantly no wives.

The Phoenix provided Donovan, Jamal, Demitrius and Marquis the place to be free. Yeah, they were married, but they were men first. And just like when they were young, they kept each other’s secrets and had each other’s back. Except now, they had a place to just let it all hang out.

With the membership growing, and the constant flow of money coming in from The Phoenix, what could go wrong? A lot! Find out what happens when you create the ultimate playground for adultery, secrets, lies and lust. The M & M Chronicles takes you on the journey of the secret lives of married men.

I liked the ending

The story was not one of my favorite subjects as a married woman. The men were just foul. And I hope the wives are the culprits. That would serve the cheating husbands right. I was smiling like a fool with the ending. See what you think...

Whew, the men in this book are...A LOT. It was very interesting to hear the way they justified the way they carried on and treated their wives. I wanted to give this book four stars just off of how entertaining it was but I wished we got more of the aftermath of their bad behavior. I know this book is the first in a series with part two picking up where this book left off but somehow it still left me a little unfulfilled.

I can't wait to find out what happens next with this bunch.

These men...

Omg, I wasn't ready for this story. We have four married friends who lived like they wasn't. These men started a club for men to be able to relax with friends. Now, the things these gentlemen got into was an entire mess and I was here for all of it. These men had me clutching my pearls at the mess they was in. I couldn't get enough and was wondering when was they going to stop. That ending got me waiting to see what was going to happen next!!! This author is new to me and she has a new fan!!!

Let’s Set the Mood Right Quick:

The M & M Chronicles: The Married Men Chronicles Vol. 1 by A. A. Lewis

Drink: Phoenix Cocktail
Music: Don’t Gotta Go Home by Monica ft DMX

Audiobook: Darryl Lewis, A. A. Lewis: This was our first story by Darryl Lewis, and he understood the assignment. He didn’t come to play games with the way he narrated this story. He truly became four different men. A. A. Lewis also played her role well. She only popped up here and there, but she always left an impression. We loved the touch of duet and the way this audiobook was assembled. The audiobook is a must.

Donovan: If, “thinks of everything,” was a person it would be Donovan. With him no stone is left on unturned.

Jamal: If, “doing the most,” was a person it would be Jamal. He’s just reckless wit it.

Marquis: If, “f*ck your feelings,” was a person it would be Marquis. He’s only got one thing for you.

Demitrius: If, “having your cake and eating it too,” was a person it would be Demitrius. He’s always wanting more.

The M & M Chronicles Vol. 1 was an urban spin on the “good ol’ boys.” This story took you on an unprecedented tour through the secret life of rich men. The way A. A. Lewis constructed this story was so brilliant. The mystery, the drama, the steam, and the cliffhanger. Child pleases. A. A. Lewis these sisters are coming for you until you give us a part two. This was an epic read that must not be missed.

This is the second book I've read from this author and unfortunately, I need to be sure it's the last. The covers are beautiful but the stories inside are poorly written and full of errors. It was like no editing or proofreading was done whatsoever. The four main characters aren't terribly distinguishable, the story was underdeveloped, and the ending was abrupt. I made myself finish it but I won't br reading the next one in this series.

I don't enjoy leaving these kinds of reviews but hopefully the author sees it as the constructive criticism it's intended to be.

If you’re into men violating every vow of marriage in the interest of self, this is definitely your book. I didn’t start reading it with any expectations but I thought it would be a drama filled book at least. It wasn’t. It gave a lot of background on characters and really set the stage for who they are. Unfortunately, when it started getting good it ended…on a cliffhanger. That sucked a lot. I thought maybe I might hear the wives pov but no just the raggedy husbands. The writing style or grammar wasn’t terrible. I’d read more by the author. It gave spice though!

Good story but...

The story was good. The drama moved along. The dudes were trash in this story. She did a good job painting them in a negative light because I hated every single one. Now, onto the bad. The grammar mistakes were hard to ignore. The misspellings of words like trans, instead of trance, or sorted instead of sordid. It was a lot. If you're a grammar nazi, this book is not for you. If you can ignore it and be able to just focus on the story, then read it. It's really good.

Whew this was a dirty juicy hot mess and I was here for it. This is a Maury show on the playboy channel read. The fact that theyre married means its not gonna sit right for everyone so know your tolerance level before you start. These four Bros before Hos aint shyt! I feel like a girlgang would do this dirt better BUT we got these married men with too much money. It ends on a cliffhanger so.
Narrator wasnt bad but the range was stretched to the limits. I struggled with it in parts.

Ooh wee The M&M Chronicles was something else. I knew men could be Dogs but dang, these men were off the hook and the wives were ... you just have to read or listen for yourself. These four men had a great idea and it made them a lot of money but I felt like they should have left them selves out of the equation.

The overall story line was good and I really hope there is a second book, the male reading this in my opinion sounded very monotone with no enthusiasm at all and to me it took away from the story a little bit but it did not deter me from the story. This author is new to me and I.look forward to reading some more of her work.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
