Jordan Ford is one of the best YA authors writing today. This is a collection containing six of her wonderful books. If you want to escape and relive the heartache and exaltation of first love this is the collection for you. The Box Set includes:

The Playmaker- Tori's Senior Year Plan: Get Colt, the school's star football player to fall in love with her. Simple. Except they haven't talked in years. This is a John Hughes' teen romance in a book. Sweet and full of teenage angst. It sends a strong message to think for yourself and follow your heart without being preachy.

Curveball - The Barlow Sisters have a great life in Columbus. Twins Maddie and Max, and younger, by a year, sister Chloe are not only sisters, but best friends. They are gorgeous, kick-ass baseball players. Maddie is the tough sister, protective and strong. Max is easy going, focused on her baseball. Chloe is sweet beyond words. Everything changes in the blink of an eye when their dad takes a promotion as sheriff in the little town of Armitage, California across the country moving them to a school without a girl's program and a boy's team unwilling to allow the girls a chance. The team captain, Holden immediately stars in more than one of the girls' lives. This is a book of false images. Everyone is putting up a front, hiding secrets. There is unnecessary pain because of all the secrets. So much insecurity, uncertainty, and false assumptions. Maddie with her forthright honesty could not have been placed in a less fitting environment. Holden is the king of false fronts. He has the Carter image to maintaining and keeping secrets is his family specialty. Can he let his guard down and show the real Holden? He and Maddie could have something deep and meaningful. Or will he keep his image as golden boy and settle for something light with her sweetest sister Chloe?

Over the Falls- One surfer girl from the south side. A hot, rich boy from the north side. Ryder Bay may be a small place but north and south are worlds apart. Harley has learned that she can only depend on herself in this world. Everyone else will eventually disappoint her, hurt her or leave. The water is her haven, the waves have saved her. Aidan lives a charmed life, a loving family, wealth, and good school. But he's hit a rough patch and can't see all of his blessings. His girlfriend broke up with him, he's lost his edge as a swimmer, and he seems to be a disappointment to his parents. The water brings them together. These characters, their conversations, fights, feelings were so believable. They are weak, they make mistakes. They pick themselves up, they face their fears. It made them easy to love, easy to root for.

See No Evil-Christiana/Ana/Chris is a Miami beach girl, pretty, flirty. She enjoys her life. All that changes when she witnesses her uncle kill her maybe boyfriend. Ana goes to the police willing to testify against him. She's placed into witness protection at an all-boys school posing as Chris. At Eton, she's no longer her pretty, popular self, but a wimpy boy, the target of a bully, and attracted to the hot guy Trey in the room next door. Trey, Riley, and Kade are a self-made family, brothers. The boys make the book for me. The attraction that Trey feels for Chris is one of my favorite parts. His confusion over the feelings he has for another guy when he's always been really into girls is hysterical. The kiss cracked me up. I also love the bond the 3 boys share; their friendship and their inclusion of Chris. The author does a wonderful job with the characters, their relationships, and the school setting. Suspense and risk build as the book progresses. Chris's life is threatened from several different fronts; she has entered into a family/mob war that she knew nothing about. It's a fast-paced, enjoyable read. Definitely keeps you on edge.

The Runaway-Michael is on the run, again. He hasn't been the man his grandfather expected him to be over the last few years but if he can get away this time, he has a chance. He can return to the only place he was ever happy and face the ghosts of his past. And stay alive. Driving through a small town glancing at a diner, he sees a pretty waitress with a smile full of sunshine. Needing rest and food Michael decides this is a good place to stop. Little does he know that this stop, the waitress Annie and her young brother will be the first step to living up to his grandfather's words. Barrett men live justly.
This book worked because of Michael. It could have been so easy to dismiss him as a low-level thug but he was so much more. He made bad choices, some due to his youth, some due to desperate circumstances but he wanted to be better. He realized he could be better. He took steps to be better. He stopped taking the easy way and chose the just way. Annie and Jackson gave him the final push to become the Michael we all knew was there all along. The three of them together made a family you couldn't help but love.

City Girl vs Country Boy-Harper believes in the power of a plan. Her plan is to go to uni with her best friends, study business, and enjoy her life. But a horrible car accident leaves her, her siblings, and her pseudo-cousins orphaned. Their parents' best friend is assigned guardianship over the entire lot of them and they all head to his rural cattle farm. There Beck and his stepson Tane do their best to welcome and comfort the grieving kids. These characters face a real-life tragedy. Their worst fears are realized and they don't always respond in the best ways. They lash out, they act selfishly, they search for means to escape the pain, they let fear rule them. They are 100% authentic. I couldn't have loved them more than I did.

I just love everything Jordan Ford writes, and this box includes the first books in her fantastic series.

The Playmaker (Big Play, #1)
I loved this book and I found myself laughing in various parts with Tori, she's a really weird girl, but in a good way. And Colt's a great kid too, facing his problems in school and chasing his dream of playing football. They are a really special couple!
Colt partners on the football team and Tori's best friend are also very interesting and well-developed characters.

Curveball (Barlow Sisters, #1)
I'm suspicious to talk because I love this author's stories. And, again, Jordan Ford presents us with a wonderful story.
Maddie is used to being in control of things, and when she is forced to move to the small town of Armitage, things don't go exactly as she planned. And when her father interferes so that she and her sisters are on the baseball team, things get a bit ugly.
Holden is accustomed to being the center of attention at school, and having everything he ever wants. But when he and Maddie get to know each other better, a totally different side of him is shown, and it's very interesting to see how it affects Maddie and makes her even more interested in him.
Throughout the story we see how their relationship can affect her whole family, and when the mystery of the robberies was revealed, I was really surprised to know who it was.
I loved the story.

Over the Falls (Ryder Bay #1)
This is the start of another great series by Jordan Ford. The story has romance, drama and a bit of suspense and gets your attention from the beginning.
Harley lives her life practically alone, having only one friend at school and dividing her time between work and her passion, surfing. But when she finds "Rich Boy" Aidan on her side of the beach, she can't stop thinking about him and how sad he looked.
When Harley offered to give surfing lessons to Aidan, neither of them expected the feelings between them to grow and the attraction getting so strong.
While they have to deal with adolescence's problems, they also have to face the fact that they are from different worlds and even face the rejection of some friends and family, as is the case of Skylar, Aidan's cousin .
The story is very interesting and the characters are great. I'm anxious to find out what really happened to Skylar.
I highly recommend the reading.

See No Evil (Brotherhood, #1)
Another great story of Jordan Ford that really surprised me.
OMG, everything Chris/Christiana has to face when entering the school for boys is almost as bad as escape to testify against the murderer of her friend. It's really hard for Chris to fit in with the other students in the school, but gradually she can be part of the small group of Trey and things between them begin to get very interesting.
When new events threaten Chris's safety, Trey and his friends will do anything to protect her.
The end of this book left me eager to learn what will happen to these characters. I loved it!

The Runaway (Barrett Boys #1)
I almost have no words to express how much I loved this story.
Michael and Annie are fantastic characters.
We already had a brief introduction to the Barrett Boys in "I Dare You", but being able to to meet one of those boys in this story was great.
After their grandfather death, the Barrett Boys ended up breaking up and Michael didn't make the best decisions in his life. When he decides to leave this wrong life behind, he ends up stealing money from Marlo Sloan and running away, but not before getting shot.
On his escape, he ends up at the restaurant where Annie works and which belongs to her family. The connection between them is immediate, but they both have bigger problems in their lives before they think about any kind of relationship.
While Michael needs to find a way to move on without putting Annie and her younger brother at risk, Annie is struggling to get rid of this miserable life with her stepfather.
Will they be able to move on when the whole truth comes out?
I loved this story and I'm already looking forward to meeting the other Barrett Boys.

City Girl vs Country Boy (Forever Love #1)
This is the beginning of another fantastic Jordan Ford's series.
When a traffic accident leaves Harper, Willow, Oscar, Stacey and Bianca orphaned, they are sent to live with Becket Connell, a man their fathers called brother, in the New Zealand countryside.
As they try to adjust to the new reality of their lives, Tane, who has decided to continue living with Beckett after his mother's betrayal, also needs to adapt to the new reality.
Harper wants to stick to her plans, but things don't go exactly as expected, while Stacey and Bianca need to work so their relationship doesn't collapse. Oscar must learn to deal with his frustrations, and Willow must learn to express herself again.
Over time they will adjust to their new life, but when it comes the time for Harper and her brothers leave for their old home, they will have a difficult decision to make.
I loved the story, the characters and everything they faced in their relationships and their personal pursuit. I'm anxious to know what will happen to these characters.

Maverick Loves Londyn (Misfits Remix #1)
We had already met Maverick in “Just a Little White Lie” and now we have the opportunity to get to know him better.
Maverick has been trying to control his anger, but Ronan keeps taunting him whenever he gets the opportunity.
Londyn is part of the school's elite and her friends doesn't mix with the Haven Misfits.
But when Londyn is attacked and Maverick finds her, the two form a connection neither of them expected. While they have to deal with the feelings that arise between them, they also have to deal with the events that could cause Maverick to lose everything he's been fighting for.
I loved the story and the new characters.
I highly recommend the reading.
