This may be Sharp’s best art of his entire career. I love what he did with Batman: Reptilian, but I think this is my favorite of his work so far. His art just keeps getting better every time I see it.
I’m not going to act like the story is blowing my mind or anything, but I’m having a damn good time with this.
Liam also gave his daughter, Matylda McCormack-Sharp, 3 pages of art this issue, and they were pretty great. Perfect match for the story being told on those pages. Loving this book and I’d recommend it to any fans of Sharp’s.
I think this builds quite nicely on the first issue and it helps that it isn't setting as many threads up. This time it concentrates on the 'present' and the 'past' parts of the storyline. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes next.
Issue 2 is even more thrilling and full of more great art. The transition in styles of art is awesome and the backgrounds are fun and make me wonder if I'm seeing easter eggs that's be foreshadowing events down the road. More more more!
