Shattered Star
Shattered Star is the second book in the broken series, written from the first point of view by both main characters. This new adult romance is sweet, spicy and everything in between.
A year has passed and so much has changed. Diana is no longer the invisible girl she once was in high school. Shattered Star is the second book in The Broken Trilogy and I absolutely loved it!
Ace and Diana, two people who were in so much pain after the events of Breakable Moon and I felt all of their emotions. This beautifully written novel has both Ace and Diana’s POVs so we get to see and feel things from both of their perspectives.
Diana has been through so much, but she has so much support from her mom and her friends. Diana is stronger this time around and she takes a leap of courage as she pursues a fresh start in a new city. I loved the growth and healing Diana has experienced in this book.
Ace has grown as well and he realizes he’s messed things up with Diana. He’s determined to get Diana back. He loves Diana and knows that she’s his end game.
There are so many unexpected things and some heavy topics that are handled well.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I love Ace and Diana together so much. They’re meant for each other and I can’t wait to see what happens in book three after that cliffhanger.

I loved this story!!
After reading the last book, I was gonna cry from the pain Ace and Diana was suffering from. They love each other but the pain and hurt Diana is feeling is too much. She wants him but too much has happened.
The majority of the book was Diana trying to heal and grow, and we see that a lot. When Ace and Diana do get back together, their love for each other is everything. They are not perfect but they are still growing.
I really hated Veronica and Ace's mother. They were a constant hurdle in Ace and Diana's relationship, I was so proud of Ace when he fought against anyone who hurt Diana!

Thank you Maris for sharing Shattered Star! I NEED to know what happens to Diana and Ace after Breakable Moon😫 I finished the book in less than a day because it is so bloody good and I can’t put it down. It is beautifully written and this time you get POVs from both Diana and Ace. I think it is really important that readers get to see things from Ace’s eyes and understand what he goes through as well. He may have screwed things up at prom and a few times after, he is determined to fix things with Diana and get her back💪🏻
Diana has been put through the wringer, but fortunately, she has the most loving mother and supportive besties to help her put herself back together and heal. When Diana decides to start fresh in a new city, we are introduced to several new characters - Elisa, Kai, Lorena, Anthony and Gigi to name a few. Elisa and Kai play such an important role in Diana’s new life and they have been instrumental in her journey to recovery. She opens up to them, learns to overcome her past and embraces her flaws. I would love to know more about Kai and his story 💕
There are unanswered questions towards the end of the book and once again ends on a cliffhanger. Are things finally looking up for Diana and Ace? I hope we will get all the answers in the final book 🙏🏻 The biggest takeaway from Shattered Star for me:
Rule 1 - love yourself
Rule 2 - put yourself first
Rule 3 - don’t give a fuck what anyone else thinks
Shattered Star is an absolute 5 ⭐️ read and you won’t be disappointed.

Ahhh I’ve been so excited to read the second in the Broken series for so long! I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen with Diana and Ace after the cliff hanger from the first book!
Maris did not disappoint one bit with this follow up! I was hooked from the get go. I couldn’t get enough of the back and forth of their relationship and was just dying for them to fix things!
Diana has grown so much since the first book, she is so strong in this and really knows her self worth and is growing to love herself, I loved reading her development and how she just became stronger and stronger as the book went on.
Ace has also grown a lot, he’s now working for the Navy and has become a mature, level headed man. His love for Diana is so swoon worthy and I just loved how even after all the time that had passed he was holding out for her.
Their relationship is far from perfect but that’s what makes it so relatable and real! They both love each other but recognise they need to work on themselves as individuals too! Love this series. This comes out on August 20th but the first one Breakable Moon is out now! 💗

Shattered Star
This is the second installment of the Broken Series and it was aaaamazing! I just love Diana & Ace's story- their relationship faces so many challenges & road blocks, but they are made for each other. They grow up so much in this book. Plus, Ace is so dreamy...he's the perfect book boyfriend.
There were lots of unexpected moments throughout the book that I was not expecting & lots of tough topics (miscarriage, sexual assault, abuse). Of course, we are left with another killer cliffhanger! I'm dying to read Book 3!

Wow. So I started my Arc copy this morning and I’ve literally not put it down! I missed Moon and Ace so much when the first book ended but bit what a ride the second instalment is! It’s got the real will they won’t they vibe and without giving too much away, Our two lead characters find that fate would constantly throw them together! I am a try believer in the red string of fate and the timing of Ace taking a hallowe’en trip to a strip club that his Moon works at…FATE! such a beautiful story and I can’t wait to see where the third part takes us!

OMG my heart 🖤 I finished this book in one day. I absolutely adore Ace and Diana and just had to see what happened next in their story. I don't want to give anything away but every single part of this book, from beginning to end is just amazing. Diana meeting her roommate at school, to her new job and the friends she makes, to how fate steps in and bring Moon and her Star back into each other’s lives, to the end when....well, you'll have to read it to find out!! Maris Ella is a rock star writing this series. Again she had me falling in love with some new characters and I'm hoping to learn more about Elle and her brother Kai, in the future. I'd also like to see Casey & Skylar get their HEA but I'll take whatever Maris gives us because I know it'll be incredible. I thought Breakable Moon and Shattered Star was a duet but was so surprised and extremely happy to find out that there is a third installment to this series. I cannot wait!! If you haven't read the first 2 books yet, grab them now!! You won't regret it. Happy reading!!

After reading Breakable Moon, I was desperate for Shattered Star. I had to know what happened next. I needed to find out what direction Diana’s journey would take. It could have went so many different directions. After finishing the story, I think that Ella handled this delicate situation perfectly.
Diana’s life has been a whirlwind of crazy. And it’s taken even more unexpected turns as of late. I loved the way our leading lady handed things. I respected her and admired that she had so much strength in this hard spot. I saw so much growth in her character from the first book. The biggest takeaway from Shattered Star for me is love yourself and always put yourself first.💖
Any spoilers for this story would be such an injustice to anyone who is wanting to read it, so that’s why I’m being so tight lipped about the actual story. It’s one you’ll want to go into without knowing how it’s going to go.
Shattered Star is a captivatingly beautiful story that gripped me from the very beginning. It has a fantastic heroine, a wonderful hero and the writing is superb.
Once again, Maris Ella has left me emotional in the best way. I’d like to say that the beauty of Ella’s writing is something powerful. This book gutted me. Made me happy. Made me laugh. Yes. There are lots of those laugh out loud moments. You will cry. Happy and sad tears. The writing will strip you bare and truly make you feel every. God. Damn. Emotion. The feels, guys. You will feel it. Everywhere.
If you have not read this book, or this series, you truly must. This is one of those books that will just make you feel everything. One you won’t forget. I cannot recommend this series enough, it is definitely one of my favorite reads of 2021.

This book gave me all the feels. From making me sit at the edge of my seat to making me smile with tears in my eyes.
Diana has matured and suffered a lot and had started to put herself first. She has accepted herselves just the way she is in this book. And that is admirable. This books showed how much Ace loves Diana. I loved the pov change! Ace finally showed Veronica to whom does he belongs to...like finally Ace. Even though I felt like they jumped back in their relationship pretty fast but I was glad to read the way Ace showed Veronica her place. The writing is way way way better than the first book! The emotions, the scenarios were just on point! Especially the concept of the broken vase! I loved that. Period.
You need to read it ASAP! And give me the third book already

I was gifted an ARC for this book for an honest review. The continuation of Ace and Diana's story was not a disappointment! I actually enjoyed this book more than the first one. The characters matured, the story grew, worlds collided, and then I was left hanging for the next book. Quick read. Would definitely recommend!
