Beth is a single mother of two, who has worked in a custom cabinet shop since she was young. She always has so many ideas flowing in her head, but never thought that writing was a reality until some other amazing authors pointed out that she could. She loves all things paranormal, and has a very unhealthy obsession with chocolate and doughnuts. She can usually be found chasing after her kids, typing like a mad woman or lost in a book.

Please edit

Intrigued in the beginning yet became bored and indifferent as the story tugged along. I'm a little surprised at all the high ratings, I honestly almost didn't finish it seeing there was a major last edit issue. Now I'm not one of those ppl who gets upset about words missing, or something spelled wrong, I can pretty much carry on, yet the issue that I'm taking about is at page 51 ( 21%) there is a half spelled word then the next page makes a no sense! Somehow we are either missing something, or the author rewrote this screen and both are in the book together side by side. I had to go back and flip forward in confusion seeing as no one with all these high 5 star ratings even bothers to mention the quality issue? This isn't a small thing, it throws the whole reader off and I was scrambling to make sense of what was going on. Moving on I decided to continue since again, the ratings were high, thought I'd miss out, I wasnt, and found the same of same, jerk mates, I'm special and I'm going to save the world, and sex at the strangest moments

This was one of the dumbest most convoluted things i’ve ever had the misfortune to read.

This was one of the dumbest most convoluted things i’ve ever had the misfortune to read.
No clue how old this idiotic TSTL chick is but sure,y she was at least in her early 20’s but she acted like 5 going 12.
We start with her supposedly running from the “wolves” . Literally. Only one shows up at that moment but instead of being prepared, At. All.shes seeking shelter on foot ,after dark when she knows it’s deeply unsafe for her.
You wanna give credit. I mean these things happen ? Right?
Aaaaaaaaaaa, well you’d think not when someone knows their life is on the line when supposedly she’s been running from them her entire life and supposedly doing it the last ten years on her own alone. Soo yeah, you’d think this idiot had a plan in play, but she doesn’t. I know. I know. I sound horribly harsh but sadly I know things you don’t if you haven’t read this. Things I know I’ll happily forget once this is over.
Soo many things about our TSTL don’t make sense . Supposedly she was kicked out by her “loving” foster mom at a orphanage for asking too many questions about her birth mother. Huh? Girl acts soo young ,your thinking how old is she? She’s supposedly very bitter about being on the run alone for the last ten years/decade. Soo when was she kicked out? Age ten ? Eight? Later mother figure jokes about teaching her to drive. So what,15 ? 16? This chicks mental and emotional growth is too stunted for 25/26 years of age. Any way, She’s bit by the wolf. He huffs and puffs and finally crashes thru a window. Stupid B finds out two things that night , one she’s this dumb A sounding thing called a “morphling”. Created by a “god” in a battle w/Artemis,the supposed creator of shifters. Artemis is evil and only the wolves are still loyal to her. They supposedly just roam around killing other paranormals waiting for her return. K.
She’s supposed to have multiple mates and the wolf that hates her is one of them. You try to feel bad for her on this because guy is a straight up D nugget but she’s a bitter Betty making fun of all the ppl and places around her. The waitress at a diner,an out the way motel, the mechanic coming to fix her flat. She’s self pity one minute and clueless compliance the next. She’s supposedly memorized the letter her mother left for her but she forgets any information from it when it’s convenient. They meet snake shifters . Of course the leader is her mate and she excepts it immediately. Agrees to mating ceremony the next day. Goes off to search out the meaning right after . Meets owl shifters. They are the smartest of all shifters. Keepers of knowledge. Why ? Because their owls,of course. Didn’t you know that ? It’s what Winnie the Pooh taught us . Then lots of whining and complaining about hiking ,which for a girl that doesn’t own a car and has been on the run for 10 years seemed odd. No clues on what she did those ten years but some how it didn’t involve a lot of walking . Deep sigh. They end up at a cave, because only she can save the world. This world 🌍 is F’ed then. It’s like “ Indiana Jones” now between the lava and booby traps and puzzles and lava.
TLDR : Just convulsed crazy BS. No world building . Embittered selfish, self pitying TSTL h who whines like a spoiled teen one minute and easily accepts and complies the next.
Please skip . I know I wish I had.

***Pretty good book***

I want to dive straight to book 2 and I hope it's available now. It's fast paced and fast burn with a lot of drama and action.

Not what I expected...

1) Perhaps I didn't read the blurb well enough, but I don't recall there being any indication that this would be reverse harem type situation. Maybe i just had the preconceived notion that a "rejected mates" trope would be a m/f situation, not an RH situation. I love Reserve Harem so I was pleasantly surprised when she learned she was destined for multiple mates. However, it feels like there should have been a note in the blurb to alert wary readers to the RH aspect (as RH isn't for everyone) as I've often seen other authors do.

2) The title is misleading. This is marketed as a rejected mates story - I assumed there would be some sort of major rejection happening early on in the story - but no. So far none of the mates she's come across have "rejected" her, so I'm not sure WHY this being labeled a rejected mate trope.

Sure, her first mate had difficulty wrapping his head around being mated to the enemy and wasn't exactly pleased with the situation but he never rejects her. In fact, he does a complete 180 and comes around to the idea of protecting her instead of killing her fairly quickly.

Perhaps the rejection comes into play later on 🤷

3) So far the story has been mediocre, not exactly thrilling or page turning. Perhaps I just wasn't feeling it at the time of reading. There wasn't really any connection between the main character and her love interests. I didn't see/feel any sparks between the characters. It was lacking in that department in my opinion. However, I kept reading to see if it would get better... I'm currently reserving judgement. It wasn't horrible or anything, just a little lack luster for my tastes.

I was definitely interested in the enemies to lovers angle that seemed to be happening in the beginning. I was invested in the situation and wanted to see how that conflict played out, but it seems like the author (s) just swept the conflict under the rug without explanation. Then, immediately, the other mates are being introduced before she really has a chance to connect or worked anything out with the first mate! It felt like mate after mate was suddenly thrown at us with time to get to know the character. I was so not digging how every new mate introduced had an instalove vibe going on. She meets them and *poof* they're mates and everyone is okay with the situation and gets along peachy with each other. No inner conflict or tension with adding in other mates. No other woman or existing relationship drama trying to prevent them being mates. It's a hard sell for me... for a harem that is being created as they go along and doesn't already have an established history with each other to have no inner conflict.

Again, it's wasn't bad... but with some revisions there is a high potential for it to be better.

Promising start

This for me is a 3.5* rating.. I just wish we could do half ratings!

Firstly I just want to say that I enjoyed the story, I don’t want to go into too much detail about the mates but I really enjoyed that there were different.. flavours shall we say? No one is the same and actually by the end of this book we don’t know if there will be any more, that alone will make you want to wait for book 2! All that being said though, this to me isn’t a “Rejected Mates” story. Sure there is a bit of angst between a couple of them but there is also PLENTY of heat.

I like that all the characters are different in this story, many personalities that all compliment each other. Caring, reliable, HOT (no guesses for which one is my favourite, hint, it’s the sworn enemy!), Godly. And then we have Nova who after being on the run and alone her whole life, suddenly starts finding mates and realising that there is more to her destiny than she thought.

Overall good story and I look forward to seeing where book 2 goes with it.

I really liked this book overall. I stayed up too late reading it (my eyes were starting to blur) and didn't get enough sleep for work, but it was because I couldn't put it down. There were spots in the book where I wish we would have gotten a little more detail into things, but overall, I think it is a good book to read. I usually listen to audiobooks but read this one, and it was worth it. The book starts off with Nova learning about who she is and a bit of where she comes from. Along the way she meets some of her new mates and learns more about her history. Fair warning, this book ends kind of short with a cliff hanger so if you are not into that kind of stuff, just a heads up!

Enemies and Lovers

Seriously I could not put this down. Beth and Alexis caught my attention from the very beginning. Not knowing who is out to kill you or love you. Learning who you really are through a note from your mom just about sums up Nova’s life. Having Mates who hate being bonded to you vs ones who absolutely adore you.

“All this time, he’d known the wolves’ plan. He’d known what happened to my people, what his true mission was, and he hadn’t said a damn word”

This is one of my all-time favorite paranormal harems so far. But be prepared it ends in a cliffhanger.

A book worth reading

Nova is a Morphling. She can morph into different bodies. She is being hunted by wolfs. When she is attacked by a wolf she finds out he is one of her mates. Merrick doesn't know how to feel about his mate. It's in his nature to hunt and kill her kind but he knows he can not let anything to happen to her. Then there is Mekhi the snake shifter, Sam the owl shifter and Alpeus the god. Together Nova and her four mates must bring the different shifters together to fight a power hungry goddess.

Fabulous!! I love the unique twist on shifters in this book! Nova is a tough FMC that has to survive on her own learning who she is and what her destiny entails. She is not just a shifter but a morphling that is very rare in her world. Lots of ups and downs as Nova has to navigate her new life with her new mates as they appear. Very well written that keeps you engaged until the very end!! Cannot wait to see what happens next!! 💜🖤

Nova is new to the shifter world and she has so much to learn about herself, her mates and one mate who appears to hate her just because that is all he knows and on top of that she now needs to deal with a potentially pissed off Goddess? No Thank you! She is a tough cookie though and I can't wait for book 2 to find out what happens next and how many mates is she going to end up with and will her distrust of Merrick come around, will he come around and stop being a d-bag?

Wow! Great storyline and characters! Nova is such a great female character! Her whole life running from wolves that are trying to kill her for her skin, finding out who and what she really is, and how important she is to the world! Then comes the fated mates...I love them, even the alphaholes, Merrick and Alpheus (I’m not a big fan of her nickname Alf), and I wasn’t sure if an owl shifter would work for me, but I love sweet Sam...and Mekhi is so hot! I definitely need the next book!

Amazing! I couldn’t put it down! I stayed up all night to finish this book. Nova is a strong heroine. And I absolutely love her. What I liked most about it is how nova and merrick didn’t immediately get along just because they are mates. Many books mates just automatically love each other but theirs is a different story to me that was refreshing. Yea he is a bit of a jerk but I can’t wait to see their relationship progress

Wow!!

So I had started this in Twisted Rejection one and two, and well it just gets better!! I love this story about the Morphlings! Artemis and Actaeon having a rivalry, it’s just awesome. Oh and I just love Artemis as a villain. She is a great villain. I wonder if we will see any other gods/goddesses along the way. This is a great story and definitely a good “I want her but I wouldn’t if not for this mate bond” story. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Not your normal mate story

Finding your mates that you didn't even know you had isn't easy. What makes it harder is that it doesn't happen like it does in the books....there may be some tension happening.

The story moves fast and we discover some mates with possibly more to come. Though the story seems like it moves fast there is still so much that's set to happen.

All of the mates have destinct personality and I like that it's not instalove but the protection is there.

Beth and Alexis have you drawn in right from the start. You meet Nova and her story has you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. It is a fabulous story and great character and story development. Nova's relationship with her shifter mates was like nothing I have read before.

Would definitely recommend this book 100% and was fabulous. I can't wait to see what will happen next with these characters.

The rollercoaster of emotional issues she has to deal with from not knowing anything about her family and being raised in a sort of foster care, and having something hunt her every full moon is crazy. She then comes face to face with one of those who hunt her only to be slapped in the face with a mate who hates her. She then has to embark on a quest to find if there are truly others like her out there. It was definitely a page turner and has me waiting on what happens next.

You did it again!

Shifters, God's, Goddesses and let's not forget a morphing.... What! I loved this book. It has angst, sexy times, romance, probably love in its early stages. I love that it's not all inclusive. There are a lot of loose ends, that leave you wanting more. The characters each have their own stories which and such different and strong personalities. I truly enjoyed this book and want more!

I enjoyed this story it was really good! I liked novas fire and how she adapted to each situation she was thrown into.

The writing flowed well, and the scenes were described well so the reader could visualise what was happening. The storyline was pretty unique, i liked the mix or greek god and shifter lore, it deffinatly kept me interested.

Im looking forward to book 2!

New author for me. Sooo good

This is one of the first books I have read by these authors and I am so glad I did. Their writing style is so original and their imaginations are vast.

You never knew what was coming next and the twist were a much appreciated treat. I can’t wait to read more books from them.

Omg this story has you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The characters are amazing and very detailed, my favorite is Merrick with his grumpy and broody demeanor. Nova is very cautious and really brave, she is destined for great things. The detail of the book sucks you in so much that you feel like you're apart of the story. I highly recommend this book.

We meet Nova who as a morphing is running from wolves who hunt her skin. But when her safety is breeched, she runs to the orphanage she once felt safe in. When fate plays some cruel cards, Nova ends up with 4 mates. Each of a different species and each meant to protect her. But Nova and her mates are in for a tough battle when Mother Panther comes out to play. Definitely waiting for the next part

This is not a rejected mate book in my opinion. I felt like it was false advertising to pitch it that way. They did not want to be together but he never once said he rejected her. He also immediately acknowledged the need to protect her from now on and that they were going to be together forever. Were they happy about being mates? No. That’s not rejection.

This was a surprisingly good book. This is the first book I’ve ever read from either authors. Beth Hendrix and Alexis Taylor come together to write this book about a girl who always had to hide! She is finally living her life and then bam everything changes all over again! It took a little bit for me to get into it but once I did, I really enjoyed it! This is an RH book!

I was so excited to read this! I love a RH with a rejected or reluctant mate. It makes it so much more amazing when they come together. This book immediately started off with some action and didn’t stop. The unexpected twists in this story were shocking. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I love Nova so much. The pain she has went through over the years. When I started the read I didn't want to stop. Her alpha men made me mad but I loved all her men. The drama through this book was outstanding and it just makes you want to jump in the book.

Loved this book. Beth and Alexis left me wanting more. Nova, with everything that she went through, but how she still strong enough to try to stop the goddess from killing every shifter and human that doesn't bow down to her. What a cliffhanger. I really want the next book already.
