Jack Gold has done the impossible: he has penetrated the China’s Control Center and broadcast a message of both personal and economic freedom to the country’s 1.4 billion citizens. With a new president and an opening of the information that citizens have access to, Jack hopes that China will transform into the country he has always known it can be.

But change does not come easily and Jack finds his newfound fame difficult to deal with, especially when his main focus now is on trying to repair the damage to his relationship with Jojo.

China isn’t done with Jack yet, though, and Jojo’s father, Wang Yang, the new head of state in China, needs Jack’s help in carving out a new trade deal that is acceptable to both China and the United States. It’s a staggeringly tall order, but it is just the sort of challenge Jack could never turn down, no matter the cost to his personal well-being.

Yet his involvement stokes angers no one had anticipated, putting both Jack’s life and his relationship with Jojo in danger. From Beijing to DC, from Vegas to Cabo, Jack is up against a myriad of forces that want nothing more than to see him fail and will go to extreme lengths to ensure that happens.

A political thriller and fascinating romance – entertaining and informative!

Texas author Jack Good earned his degrees in business administration and in East Asia Studies from the University of Chicago as well as his BA form University of California, Berkeley and worked in the People’s Republic of China, garnering information about Chinese political, social, and cultural issues. His experience is evident in his series of novels, THE CHINA AFFAIRS, of which THE TRADE EXPEIMENT is the second volume.

Rarely has an author been able to compose a novel about China with the insights and direct observations Good provides. The story is an action packed thriller, the writing is razor sharp, and the characters and situations encountered by the primary person Jack Gold become cinematically visual. ‘Jack Gold has done the impossible: he has penetrated the China’s Control Center and broadcast a message of both personal and economic freedom to the country’s 1.4 billion citizens. With a new president and an opening of the information that citizens have access to, Jack hopes that China will transform into the country he has always known it can be. But change does not come easily and Jack finds his newfound fame difficult to deal with, especially when his main focus now is on trying to repair the damage to his relationship with Jojo…’ In that terse outline the mixture of intrigue, political insights, and romance are suggested. For every reader who enjoys immersion in rapid paced action thrillers, this book will satisfy – not only as entertainment, but also as an opportunity to review China’s position in the world. Very highly recommended.

The Trade Experiment by Brad Good is second installment in The China Affairs. Jack Gold has done it; he has infiltrated the China's Control Center and successfully broadcasted the message of both personal and economic freedom. Jack's relationship with Jojo is in dire need of understanding now but the new head of state Wang Yang, demands his help with a new trade deal which Jack could never down. With Jack target of anger, he is yet to maneuver out of another life-threatening situation. Having read the first book, I can gladly say the second one is just as entertaining and amazing. I have come to love Jack's character; he is always trying to do the best he can. The author has done a commendable job on beautifully displaying the cultural aspects again. I got the full impact of action, drama, thrill, and fast paced adventure which kept me absorbed till the last page. Must read, I highly recommend it.

The challenges continue.

The Trade Experiment: THE CHINA AFFAIRS is the second book of the series written by Brad Good. Jack Gold, after having managed a successful mission in the first book, should concentrate on fixing the damage that it caused to his personal life, but he finds a new challenge that he can't refuse.
Although this new installment doesn't lose the portion of information and real knowledge about China that characterazes it, it is more concentrated on the characters' life. It is a novel with a lot of action and adventures, and this time the author added romance.
I think I liked the first book because it is different from other novels and it surprised me. This time, I already knew the plot, but I still enjoyed it a lot.

The Trade Experiment is the second book of a series called The China Affairs and it was written by Brad Good.
In this case, the readers will follow up with Jack Gold, the main character and hero of the first book, where he managed to complete his first mission, penetrating China's Control Center. But nothing comes easy for our guy when Wang Yang, the new head of state in China, demands his help with a trade deal that Jack could never turn down.
This story gets better and better! It is filled with action, drama, and bits of mystery that really highlight this reading! Good's knowledge of the Asian country really sparks up the story with all the cultural details and scenes. I can't wait for the next book!
Highly recommended.

After reading The Control Center and loving it, I needed to find out how the story continues after Jack Gold's triumph.

The Trade Experiment continues the China Affairs series, and finds Jack in a difficult position, trying to balance his life in the new Republic of China, and dealing with his fame and relationships in this new world. To secure that his efforts were not in vain, he puts his life over the line to install trade between China and the United States.

I love how Brad Good uses these books to show his affection for China, he writes with passion while keeping the story interesting. Recommended for people who are into Chinese culture and looking for a middle ground.

“The Trade Experiment” is the second book in the series “THE CHINA AFFAIRS” and it presents itself as a book with a strong political, cultural and social content about contemporary China and its relationships with the rest of the world. This second book follows up the tension of the beginning of the story and kept me hooked until its last page. The protagonist of this story has achieved a great goal and has entered the Control Center of China to transmit a controversial message.
Brad Good is a great author who portrays along the story his vast knowledge and experiences in this country. I recommend reading this second book in this story, it is interesting and entertaining.

great

“The trade Experiment: the China affairs” by Brad Good is an amazing novel that offers various contents of very different qualities. Including a lot of knowledge on the contemporary Chinese political, social and cultural issues as well as associated international affairs. I personally really enjoyed reading this second novel of the series of four as it now really has a plot twist. Jojo and Jack Gold have to enter a new phase of their relationship. Surrounded by various difficulties, they now have to fight the odds in order to stay together. It’s amazing how you can combine entertainment with some actual knowledge and actually really learn something out of a novel.

“The Trade Experiment: THE CHINA AFFAIRS” is the second book in the series written by author Brad Good. This is very good as the first installment. I knew the story already so I was not so surprised or engaged as in the previous one; but once again the author showed his talent for writing and describing scenes. I really recommend reading book 1 and book 2.

This is definitely very reminiscent of James Bond types of books. I don't feel like I was the audience for this book however I feel that many men will enjoy a story where the guy gets the girl and he's really good at everything he does. Such an American dream to single handly smooth over relations between two nations.
