Who doesn’t have a celebrity crush?

Maybe it’s just one person or maybe it’s a list of people who you’d jump at the opportunity to sleep with if given half a chance. It’s a game we play with our other half knowing this encounter will never happen.

But what if it did…

What if the object of your every fantasy did want you? Would you risk the life you’ve built to be with them?

If one word could describe Allison Dell’s life, it would be perfect.

Two words? Annoyingly Perfect.

She has unwittingly had everything she ever wanted served on a silver platter, so when tragedy strikes her family, she has no idea how to cope – her grief threatens to consume her and everyone who loves her.
After months of living in a sort of limbo she plans a trip alone, to London, to experience life outside of the shelter of her family. It’s there that she must decide her own fate. Will she choose the man who promised to always choose her? Or is the fantasy worth going back on her own promises?

Like Crazy features some strong language and sex scenes as well as scenes involving miscarriage that can be upsetting or triggering to some.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I had never heard of this author or this book, so other than reading the blurb, I went in blind. Since I am being honest, a few pages in, I didn't think I was going to like it. But, with each turn of turn of a page, I became more and more invested in the characters and the story and did not want to put it down. It has the perfect balance of reality anda bit of fantasy. There were a few things that prevented me from giving this a 5 star rating. I felt that the author did a lot of telling and not as much showing with her words. I also struggled with Allie's choices and her immaturity throughout parts of the book, but I am sure there are a lot of women who can and will relate. I found Allie and Ben's relationship to be intriguing because unlike other romances I have read, it was all very real, especially the struggles they faced. I also loved the side characters, especially the dynamics between the Dell Sisters (and Jen). I am very much looking forward to the rest of this series!

At first I was not so sure about this book, but once I got into it I could not put it down! It was a really good read. It has it all. I could even see a bit of my own life in her. I recommend this book to all who love true love.

This story was compelling. Allie falls in love at a young age but as the years go by; you realize that you are not the same person you were years earlier...how do you sustain love when you change. Does your love change? Do you love that person deeper when you grow does your partner come along with you? The struggles of Allie and Ben are relatable to those of a lot of couples. Lynzie Allen's writing is crisp and I've never been to London but after reading her book I feel like my passport has been stamped.
Sometimes you need to realize that the life you already have is the one worth living, not the one you earn for.... onto the sequel.

Couldn't put this down!

This book took me on a journey that seemed so personal. Obviously not exactly, but the feelings of being lost in your marriage and the struggles to keep it are on point. I loved this story and loved how Allie's family and friends were so close. Relationships are hard work and this story does an excellent job demonstrating it!
