I know I'm destined for a fairy tale romance and I'm done kissing frogs.
Believe me, I've dated enough of them to know they never turn into Prince Charming.
Wayne makes my heart race. And even though I almost screwed everything up between us, I think we have a chance at the fantasy romance I've always dreamed of.
That's if my creepy stalker ex doesn't ruin everything first.
But Wayne's got one heck of a trick up his sleeve. Turns out I've traded in my frogs for a fire-breathing dragon, and he wants to claim me as his mate.

Wow i loved Bianca & Wayne story. It made me laugh hard and it also made me cry🙈 damn dragon boys with their temper 🤣😏🙈 great worldbuilding lovely characterS easy to read romantic
*Rating: 3.5 - 4 stars** I’m always up for some paranormal fiction and enjoyed the plot of this story. The story sees alpha dragons finding their fated mates but traditionally it has always been dragon mates, but fate has thrown a spanner in the works and now they are finding themselves fated to human females. Humans don’t know their kind exist and they don’t feel a bond so revealing themselves can only be done if they are sure they are the one fate intended. As the women learn there is an entirely new world out there, and what fated means the story is rich with tension. But it’s not just the dragons’ stories each woman also has a problem that comes to light that their men will do anything to keep them safe. Emotions run high as the characters confront their circumstances, dealing with conflicting feelings of fear, hope, and longing. The presence of strong alpha males adds another layer of complexity to the tale. Amidst these challenges, there is also an undercurrent of playful interactions. Overall, it’s an interesting blend of love, action, and adventure that keeps you engaged from beginning to end.
I don't understand the stupid, trivial problems these MC'S face. They aren't even a good enough reason to be the main traumatic event, that every book requires. The stories are cute until the "problems" come in. Then it's lame and all the stories are hella rushed. No arcs happening and no climax.
Every gurl is sooo hurt the dragon shifter "lied" and didn't reveal he was a dragon upon first meeting 🙄. Yeah, perfectly legitimate reason to be mad. Then every dragon shifter has to disappear and that makes the girl so mad and doubtful that the magical mate bond got it wrong and dude doesn't love her🙄.
There are so many inconsistencies that it's annoying as hell. Porters mom shows up to the hospital. COOL, a ghost is there? She died. How did she rush over? Also, these stories take place in Maine, she rushed right over and was there in time for the birth from California? 🙄 I find things like this distracting and beyond annoying. Like get it together plot wise.
There are very soft core adult scenes. Where some parts are written in depth and explored, others are skimmed right over. Like the oral scenes, those are described in great detail and then bam orgasim jump to something else. IDK, it feels lacking.
This dragon's got a chance...he just has to make sure not to screw it up. I don't know what it is about this season but a lot of the books I have been reading have had characters that are aware that they aren't perfect, that they're flawed and do everything in their ability to better themselves to be worthy of the one they love. This is another book that is like that. It was honestly really sweet to read and relatable to some level. If you want to read my full thoughts on the book, check out the blog post that I did for this book!

My first major thing is Porter's mom could not be driving down the highway because we find out in the last book and the book before it that she's dead.....so I find it pretty amazing that she's shows up for the birth of their child! I think that's a pretty big forget on the author's part don't you? This story was pretty basic and never really grabbed my attention....it definitely needed something more. I really hope the next one is more!
Double standards and one sided. It’s sad when you feel like the guy deserves better, is looked down upon, and treated un fairly. They both have a temper and say something mean, but he’s the one that has a problem and needs therapy? What about her? She’s a brat with a temper, has double standards, and needs to be working to improve and be worthy of him just as much as he is working to get improve and be a better partner. It should be a partnership not a “queen” and her servant.
Delightful Addition to the Bluewater Coast Dragon Stories
Anyone who has ever read my reviews of books by Roxie Ray knows that I love her writing. This 4th book in the Bluewater Coast dragon stories is no exception and it’s a delightful addition to the series. This story is about Wayne, a dragon shifter chef, and Bianca, a human make-up influencer. The Bluewater Coast dragons have discovered that they can successfully mate with humans, which opens up many possibilities for finding mates.
Although Wayne is very much attracted to Bianca, or Bee as she likes to be called, he feels like he inherited anger management issues from his father and is reluctant to subject Bee to any of those unwanted feelings. As a consequence, he plays it cool whenever he’s around Bee. For her part, Bee is also extremely attracted to Wayne, but is trying to play it cool right back at him. Wayne was hired by her father to cook meals for her since she can barely cook anything. Every time he comes over, she has to force herself to play like she’s not interested in him. And as Wayne’s tattoo develops on his arm, he keeps it covered so Bee won’t see it and wonder if he’s in some sort of cult. Also, he doesn’t want his mother to see it so that she won’t pester him about his fated mate and try to set a wedding date for him.
It wouldn’t be a Roxie Ray book if there wasn’t an antagonist somewhere in the mix. In this case, one of Bee’s old boyfriends can’t seem to get the message that she’s over him and doesn’t want anything to do with him. But how far will he take things in his quest to recapture her interest?
I really enjoyed Sammie, the clan witch, in this book and how she unexpectedly pops in and out of a scene. I also loved the way the relationship between Wayne and Bee developed and the fact that they got to know each other before they became intimate. The world building relied on previous books for the most part and was pretty basic. I liked the way the revelation that Wayne was a dragon shifter was handled. (Until you read the book, you won’t know if she freaked out or took it calmly or somewhere in between.)
Altogether, this was a great addition to the series and I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves dragon shifter stories. Roxie hit a home run again with this one!

Roxie Ray has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Bee and Wayne. Wayne is a dragon shifter and a chef. He has a job supplying meals for Bee and the first time he sees her, he knows that she is his mate. He is not in a good place to claim a mate. He has to get control over his anger problem. Bee and Wayne are friends and seem to get along until Wayne sticks his foot in his mouth and said something to Bee that makes her mad. He makes her mad again and this time he quits working for her. They have not seen each other for three months and Bee is hosting a meet and greet for her job. Bee has the party catered by Miss Olivia but it is Wayne who shows up. Wayne tries to talk to Bee but she is still upset with him. Bee is the last one at the meet and greet and she turns around and sees Andre, a guy she had dated and broke up with. She doesn't know why he is there but she walks towards him keeping a table between them. She asks "What are you doing here? We broke up a very long time ago." He tells her that he knows but he was just giving her time to get herself straight. Bee tells him that if he came there expecting for her to have a change of heart, he was wrong. They were done. Andre calls her flaky and then calls her some nasty names. Wayne comes up and slams Andre up against the wall and tells him to apologize to Bee. Andre asks "Who are you?" He looks over at Bee and said "You've got a bodyguard now?" Wayne tells Andre that he is a chef and he could cut him up better than any surgeon. Wayne can see that Bee is upset so he offers to take her home. Once there, he tells her what he has been doing in the last three months. He gets a call from Bri, Bee's sister and she wants him to bring Bee to her house. When they get to Bri's house, every one of their friends is there and they talk about Andre. Wayne tells them all that he will stay with Bee until something is done about Andre. During the time that Wayne is with Bee at her house, they get together as a couple. Everything is going fine until Bee and Wayne go to Jace and Bri's house for a cookout. Andre somehow found out where she was and went to see her. This makes Wayne mad and he thinks it is time to let Bee know who and what he is. Will Bee get mad at Wayne and walk away from him not that she knows he is a dragon? Will Wayne be able to have Bee in his life? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Wayne is a dragon shifter and Bianca is a human whose father hired Wayne as her chef. Right from the start, the two had a very strong attraction to each other. Wayne has his own reasons for acting cool toward her, so he doesn’t make any moves. She decides to act the same way toward him. Because they are actually fated mates, a tattoo starts to appear on his arm, so he has to hide it. He doesn’t want Bianca to see it and think he’s strange. And he certainly doesn’t want his mother to start pushing him to mate.
We have the added suspense of Bianca’s stalker, her ex-boyfriend who won’t take no for an answer. To what extent will he go to force her to come back? He has no idea about his competition, but he might want to wear flame-retardant clothing if he’s going to pester Bianca.
I adore these dragon books and the best part is Bianca’s finding out about her wonderful mate’s abilities! It’s worth the wait! Grab your copy and enjoy this well-written story. The characters are likable and the pacing is just right to keep you in the zone! You won’t want to miss this one!
I was expecting a normal RR book. But Bianca the fmc was just spoiled and ignorant. And the editing errors and story errors were heavy.
Why is it that she had a chance to have a poc fmc and she made Bianca to be this vapid, shallow SM influencer???
She could have been a makeup artist (sure keep the rich dad angle) who loved doing makeup tutorials for poc and it just took off. Something where she had a job of value. Not a job as a spoiled black princess.
I feel like this character had a movie from the 90’s with one of the Wayans brothers playing her. BAP.
Yeah. It is THAT bad. At times I felt uncomfortable even reading bc it felt that awkward. ⬆️⬆️⬆️
It came across as weird to me. I couldn’t feel for her. I have to love the fmc and mc enough to continue reading. Maybe she has an arc of growth? Who knows.
Horrible story.
Loved Wayne. Poor guy. I was hoping these two would NOT make it to the end. First time I have ever wished a couple wouldn’t work out. And I read romance BC it ALWAYS works out. 😤
Book 4 of 5 in Bluewater Coast Dragon Stories. This is about Wayne the chef that we have met in previous books and about Roxie, a YouTube makeup influencer. Wayne is a Dragon shifter that has some serious anger management issues that he doesn't want anyone to have to deal with. Even with Roxie his fated mate, he does not want her to have to deal with his mess of a life. Roxie can not cook for herself, so her father hires Wayne to cook for her. They both feel the pull but fight it. Samantha has also returned to this story. She is the witch of the Dragon Clan. She has her input into this love story as well. Can she help these two fulfill their fated mate bond? Or will Roxie and Wayne fight the mate pull? Will the same thing happen to Wayne as it has to the other Dragon shifter with fighting the mate pull?

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. The Dragon's Chance by Roxie Ray is the fourth book in the Blue Water Dragons series. Now here is a book of yummy goodness! I love when you can get into a series read and the characters make appearances through the series despite the fact that the each of the books follows a different couple. Roxie Ray is successful in enticing you with old friends made in previous stories and new characters that have been clamoring to have their story told. Wayne and Bianca's story is sweet, steamy and tons of fun! A great addition to the series that I highly recommend. You can't go wrong with a Roxie Ray read!

Each book follows a pattern. Male dragon shifter, female human heroine, the heroines ex-relationship antagonist, dragon reveal, relationship challenge, mating. The differences lie in the character development and the antagonists attempts at disruption. The hooks for these stories are the characters are interesting and for the most part likable. Wayne struggles with his temper and issues relating to Daddy. Bianca is flexing her adult muscles and at times is not responsible or understanding. Toby is adorable and Liza is trying to overcome and survive in spite of poor parenting. The formula makes the books predictable but the unique characters are interesting.
Book 4 of the Bluewater Dragon's series. Wayne is another friend of Jace's who works as a personal chef. Bianca is younger sister to Briana who is fated mates with Jace's half brother Porter. Although I like Wayne's character I struggled to warm to Bianca who comes across as spoilt to begin with. Also as she has a stalker too the female storylines are getting too similar. This also contains the 5th instalment. Porter's best friend from his previous clan Toby comes to visit & ends up getting a job as nutritionist at the hospital Anthony works at. He realises nursing student Liza is his fated mate. Liza has just become friends with Bianca. Liza is focused on passing her training & has no time for men having split from her fiancé a while ago.
This series is becoming pretty formulaic. Girl meets boy. Boy realizes she's his fated mate. Girl has psycho stalker. Boy protects girl and they get their happily ever after. Seriously, every single book in the series has the exact same storyline. I will say the characters are interesting and slightly different so that helps. The town and interactions of the characters is good. There is witty banter and lots of spice so it's still entertaining. Even the author knows it's a thing as the characters even bring it up in the book so it's interesting to see her poking fun at her own storyline trope. I've already got the next book in the series downloaded so I'll read it for fun, but if it's the same old thing then I'm out as it is getting monotonous.
Wayne meets his fated mate but holds back from he while her works on his temper. Dragon shifter Wayne Parsons is surprised to finds his fated mate was human and was Bianca the sister of his friend Jace's mate. Having watched as his father thrown bouts of temper and become verbally abusive he knew that he needed to get his temper under control before he made any move towards Bianca. After upsetting Bianca he decides to take yoga classes and start seeing an anger management therapist. An unusual shifter romance with the main male character sees he has a problem and takes steps to cure his behavior.

I really enjoyed this story on several levels. Yes it was a sweet romance and enjoyable story, as has been something I have come to expect when I pick up a book by this author. But I particularly love how she approached the topic of men and mental health, and getting therapy. This topic is near and dear to me, as I'm an advocate for mental health awareness, end the stigma type messages, and trying to get those who need it to seek help. I love when popular fiction incorporates these positive messages into their work. It gives me hope that there is change. Beautifully done. Thank you!

Let me tell you. Someone who recognizes they need help and gets it before getting into a serious relationship is absolutely perfect to me. Most (guys especially) can’t recognize they have an issue with their temper and end up being the worst type to end up with. There are women who are the same, and many who learn to control their issues. Maybe not before it’s too late in some cases, but they get help. This is the perfect example of the perfect man. Forget the shifter part, the man in general. Granted the shifter part is hot, but the type of person he is doesn’t come from the shifter gene, it’s just him.
I love the books... well I want to but I can't get over how poorly edited it is. Huge chunks are just taken away like wtf. Literally the main guy from the PREVIOUS book -his mom is dead- so why the fuck and HOW THE FUCK did he visit when Kaylee had her baby? I hate myself because I want to keep reading the series because I keep reading this series -it's a good series- but damn they just aren't edited worth shit. And did the author go over any of it in-between breaks or just read the last sentence to continue? Why not explain why Wayne took 3 months to himself and when he went off again with his family. THAT SHIT COULD HAVE BEEN EXPANDED ON!!
There are two story’s in the book. Bee and Wayne. Wayne is a personal chef and has been hired to make meals for bee and that’s when he knows she his fated mate but they seam to do nothing but knock heads so he quits to try to get himself together.enjoy a see if it works out for them. The next book is about Liza and Toby. While touring the hospital Toby smells something that makes his dragon come alert and his arm start to burn, that’s the sign of a fated mate now he needs to find out just who she is and convince her to date him. So enjoy both of these good reads!!
I do love this series and Roxie Ray books in general but the storyline inconsistency is too obvious. In the first book it explained how Anthony viewed the changes in Jace’s bar since he took over the bar from his dad and then later the storyline changes to Jace’s dad having abandoned him and his mom when he was young. Then later we meet Porter who comes to find his long lost brother after his mom dies but in this book his mom had to drive super fast to get to the delivery of his premature daughter. I wish they had better editors or something because it ruins it for me when they don’t stick to the backstory.
I haven't read the others in this series but I really liked this one. The fact that the hero, Wayne, wasn't perfect and that he was trying to sort himself out before claiming his mate but there was no quick-fix magic cure for him. Bianca or Bee, was great too in that she was trying to find her own way and stood up for herself when she needed to and took a step back for herself. Fabulous characters and I am looking forward to the next one!

I do love a good dragon story when they find their fated mate. Roxie Ray always gets it right. Wayne knew when he saw Bianca for the first time that she was his mate, but he didn't think he was ready. He had anger issues, he didn't want kids and she didn't know dragons existed. I loved that he was a chef and cooked extra special food for her and didn't understand that she was trying to flirt with him. We got to visit with friends from the previous books and make new ones too. Very good read

I realize these are dragon stories, but I love how the author makes the story more about the real life issues than the dragon "surprise". Wayne struggles with some anger issues and Bianca has to decide how to forgive. And both of them had to make some changes in their careers to get to their happy place and that was on their own, minus romance. Not to say we don't get a good romantic story, because not only is it steamy, but we see the relationship grow. Great addition to this series.

The Dragons Chance is book 4 in a series called Bluewater Dragons. This is a very well-written, well-paced and standalone book that will keep you entertained from start to finish. These interesting characters are very well-crafted that grow throughout the story. There is action, adventure, drama, danger, twist, turns, romance, passion and love. This story was a great addition to the series and I recommend this book to anyone who loves dragon shifter stories.

I loved Wayne’s and Bianca’s story. Wayne is a chef he owns his own business he mostly cooks his clients food at home now he’s going to meet a new client at her house and when he meets Bianca his dragon nearly goes crazy because Bianca is his mate. Wayne is too busy to worry about finding his mate he’s just so unsure about the whole mate thing but if it’s his fate to have a mate then he will take it real slow like a snail slow. I loved this fantastic story and there is so much more going on and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
He's a chef that is trying to find his niche in business. He's currently working as a personal chef to several clients and finding it difficult to keep his temper with some of his clients until her!! He knows he needs to figure out how to control it. She's a young lady that has finally found her calling and is trying to get it off the ground. Her father hired him as her personal chef since she can't really cook. Fireworks happen between these two. Are they good or bad?
