Can Rob and his ex-lover Detective Jo Maguire work together to stop the murderer before someone else pays the ultimate price?

Katie Wells goes missing on her way to school. Her pink backpack is found weighed down with stones in a local reservoir. Time is running out to find her, and every second counts. Acting DCI Rob Miller leads a nationwide search, but no trace of the little girl is found. Meanwhile, Detective Jo Maguire from the National Crime Agency notices striking similarities to her own sister’s disappearance twenty years ago. Maybe Jo’s sister was the killer’s first victim. And maybe he never stopped. Now, a body is discovered and the public holds its breath. Is it Katie? Rob and Jo might just have a serial killer on their hands . . .

This is simply a terrific set of three crime thriller books that you must not miss.

Deranged Justice
I enjoyed reading all the books in this box set. Each book is suspenseful and aptly portrays the psyche of the killers and police procedures involved in apprehending them. The Surrey Stalker has grievances against engaged women and stalks and kills them. The Revenge Killer finds innovative ways to kill violently abusive men. And is the child killer really saving the children from predators by ending their lives? A must read set of books.

Loved the books. The characters were well developed and the plots were well thought out. The Author, unfortunately, succumbed to the current trend of mixing up 'forbidding and foreboding' so far as I'm aware something or someone may have a forbidding appearance but the word foreboding can only be used to describe a feeling of impending evil or disaster! When describing the appearance of the River Thames you cannot say "(it) looked foreboding".

what a book
What a box set of books.
I would highly recommend these to anyone who enjoys crime thriller’s.
Was on the edge of my seat, had a job to put the book down and didn’t know or couldn’t hazard a guess who the killer was until the very end. Brilliant book. Are there any more in the DI Miller series

Exceptional fast pace mystery series
You won't be sorry you picked this 3 part under mystery. I've read hundreds of the like and these books are written unlike any other. I know it's hard to compare although you just know a good read within the first few pages and these have it all. I would like to think that there will be more adventures to come for Detective Rob.

Really enjoyed these first three novels in the series. Rob Miller is a great detective who gets what needs - mostly - from his boss. Gritty storylines and with great team members, whose careers also develop through the books. Strong romantic interest too. Now waiting to read nos. 4 - 6.

Excellent read

Thank you for writing these books Biba. I have found them so informative, sad, happy in the end and the solving of the mysteries surrounding the deaths. I can recommend these books to anyone who likes a Police based mystery murders.

Very twisty
Just about the time I think I know who did it, the plot changes. These 3 books were enjoyable to read and I would recommend them. I just wonder if all of the stories will involve a serial killer.

three great reads

Fantastic Series
Pearce is an amazing author. I stumbled on one of her books and have been hooked ever since! Highly recommend any of her books and of course this series.

Riveting
I believe that anyone who likes Crime stories in police procedures would really enjoy these books Especially if you like surprise Endings.. The twists and turns in all the stories make you keep guessing. All in all excellent stories
