She was only an infant… …when a sorcerer killed her parents. Will she find what the murderer could not? The madman sought an ancient artifact. Esmé sought a safe, normal life. Neither one will get what they want... ...or will they?
It was an item of unbelievable power. Her aunt and uncle didn’t know it existed or that the talisman was the reason Esmé’s parents were killed. Her protective spirit, though, knew the story, but that was to be kept a secret until she turned 18, for her own good.
Esmé's life was about to change.
She wanted to learn magic…
…but had no idea what danger her future held.
At Fae Rebel Academy, the students were known to be creative, the TAs were resourceful, and the headmaster had a past that he would like to keep a secret. Esmé knows what he did.
Was he still looking for the talisman?
Does he know who she is?
What’s her next move?
You’ll love this paranormal academy fantasy because the adventure is exciting, the quest might get her killed, and the ending is worth the wait.
Fae Rebel Faerie Lightning is a paranormal, reverse harem, why choose romance intended for mature readers. This is book one of the Fae Rebel Academy trilogy.
Samaire Wynne grew up in a lot of different places, and now happily resides on the East Coast of America, laboring away at writing stories every day. She is an animal lover with far too many pets, yet she still muses how she’d like to add even more. A lover of all things night and gothic, she also loves to read and reread her favorite books. Owned by a cat named Tyrion, she can be found haunting the shadows and mists that hang low over the hills of southern Virginia.
Samaire allows us to enter the compelling world of her making. Likable characters, some spicy scenes and lots of suspense mixed with fae magic is the perfect recipe for a wonderful fantasy read! I highly suggest that everyone read this series! I cannot wait to read the next part of Esme’s journey.
What a wild ride that was! I was settling into the story, getting to know the characters, when boom chicka wow wow happened. Whew! >fans self< that was so hot! The story is fantastic and the sports are unique and creative. I really enjoyed this fantastical romp, reading it in two evenings time. I highly recommend it and look forward to the next installment.
DNF after the fourth chapter. I tried my best to see if the storyline would pick up, but it didn’t.
I am not sure what age group the author was attempting to engage, but it comes across a bit juvenile. The separation between flashbacks and present tense are difficult to follow and the FMC comes across as rather dense.
The premise of the description is a great plot idea, but I think perhaps it could be tweaked a bit more to fit the mold and the audience.
As always, this is my opinion. Please read and form your own.
This book is a mess, the past, the present and the future are all streamlined into one. If the author was trying to mind boggle, well done. The conservatives are rudimentary and coasting on annoying. A pet hate of mine is asking questions by repeating the same information back.
I DNF only managing 38% and in that time her parents murder is outlined in great detail 3 times yet each time the heroine acts like it's new information. I just couldn't.
I loved this book. It has magic faes and evil villans. Teenage girl orphan as a baby but an evil group. Learn about who she and her parents were. Now she has to rely on new friends to save herself. Can't wait for book 2.
