Her paradise is collapsing, and she’ll do just about anything to salvage what remains. Following Eden’s mass migration to a new haven ruled by an old friend, Eve struggles with her loss of power and is driven by an insatiable thirst to gain control over this new paradise. Meanwhile, Gabriel attempts to cope with the ghosts of his past and becomes too unstable to live among the others. During all of this, Lucy finds herself enchanted by all that this new place has to offer and becomes intrigued by a charming new boy. What she doesn’t know, however, is that she is about to uncover a devastating secret that will change everything. Eden Collapsing, the suspenseful third book in The Dark Sanctuary series, delivers on its promise to keep readers on the edge of their seats.
I am seriously addicted to this series! These books have me staying up way too late and reading until my eyes are grainy and barely staying open. LOL! If that doesn't make you want to read them, I don't know what will!
Eden is in trouble. Resources are in short supply and there's a virus spreading at an alarming rate. If something doesn't change soon, the population of Eden is in trouble and Eve will lose everything she has built. But Gabriel, Freyda, and a group of talented women from Eden make the trek to Area 82, or Elysium as it's now known where they find the utopia of utopias in this new apocalyptic United States of America. As almost everyone from Eden is transported to a new life in Elysium, Eve is starting to truly lose it, Lucy finds out a horrible secret, and the utopia isn't as wonderful and peaceful as it seems. This book ends on a cliffhanger, just like the others, so of course, I had to move right into book 4!
As with the previous books in this series, I absolutely love the story, characters, and world-building. I'm still on the edge of my seat and can't wait to find out what happens! Will Eve get the adoration and worship that she wants? What will Lucy do? Ugh! I need to find out!!!
I received a digital review copy of this book for free from the author and BookSirens, and I am leaving this review voluntarily as a courtesy.
CW: Mentions of rape & sexual assault, general violence, violence against women, and war. Not for readers younger than 16!
I don't know what it is with me and these books. They're dumb. They are so dumb. Eve is pure evil. Gabriel is a saint (glad homie got laid though) and of course the special dog is a pitbull. That's really in right now. Leading to more breeding of the dogs and blah blah. Cliche. I do love Lucy though. I am like low key addicted to this little series. In this one they leave Eden right as a pandemic is ready to wipe them out. Of course this all thanks to Saint Gabe and his new girlfriend. They go a literal Utopia with a library and technology and running water and everything a utopia needs. And Eve messes it all up because she needs to be worshipped. The ending was so much fun! I think maybe in the next one Lucy will take down Eve. Maybe. I have to go see if I can get the ARC for that one too. Oh yeah I got an ARC for this. Thanks!
Best of the series so far. Author really made a better attempt at delineating the main characters and giving reasons for what they did. Enjoyed this one best of all.
Eden Collapsing is the third book in The Dark Sanctuary series. I fell in love with this series with the first book Eden Rising. Each book just gets better and better. Each one is unique in its own way. I love the world that has been created for The Dark Sanctuary series. I can’t seem to get enough of it.
The moment I opened Eden Collapsing and read that first page I was unable to lay it down until the last page had been read and even then I had a hard time doing so as a matter of fact, I am not sure that I have laid it down as it is still swirling around in my head.
The Dark Sanctuary series is a story about men and women being divided. When things kept getting worse between men and women with the men wanting to be in full control over the women and do as they wish with them even without their consent the women decided to leave the men and form their own community where men were not allowed to enter ever.
In Eden Collapsing the flu is making its way throughout the community and taking with it the lives of many. When they start to run out of the medicine needed to help them get better and they start to die chaos sets in and everyone starts to turn on each other even Eve their leader.
Eden Collapsing is filled with secrets that it likes to hold on to only releasing them slowly one by one. Eden Collapsing is a thrilling read that kept me on the edge of my seat just waiting and watching to see what was going to happen next. I can’t wait to read more about this world to see what is next. I can’t wait to see what these characters are going to do next.
I highly recommend Eden Collapsing to all dystopian and suspense fans! Grab your copy of Eden Collapsing today!
To say that I was excited to be chosen to read books 3 and 4 in this series might be a bit of an understatement. I literally could not get the books downloaded fast enough. I just finished Eden Collapsing and ... Wow! I could not put it down! The world building is incredible, the new characters are amazing and Eve is, well, Eve. She's the protagonist that we all love to hate. It's really interesting to see her mental illness progress the way it has and I think the authors did a wonderful job of showcasing how someone with bipolar disorder might act. I am ashamed at how many times I hit my Kindle to turn the page when I got to the end of the book. THAT is what I call a cliffhanger! This series is so amazing and it really makes the reader pause and consider the consequences of actions, both big and small. This review may seem hurried but I'm just that excited to get to book 4! I'm also a little ashamed that I put aside all of my other in progress books so that I can finish the series. THAT'S how much I love this world and this cast of characters!

Eden Collapsing is the third book in this series by Shade Owens and it's another knock out. This book left me screaming with outrage by the end and I'm loving every moment of this series.
Our women of Eden have finally arrived in a place where they can begin to thrive again. This new home has so much to offer including electricity, safety and much needed medical treatment. A true paradise at last. However this new home comes with a new leader and something else Eve cannot bare to live with… MEN!
If you've been following this series you'll be shocked to find what Eve will do to maintain her control. My pulse is still racing and I can't wait a moment longer to finish this wonderful series. One more book to go!
I happily received a free ARC from BookSirens and I'm leaving this review voluntarily.
Third book set in the near future, the war in the US between men and women is now years in the past, survival is the new priority. Again following Eve, ruler of Eden where a virus is taking hold and the women are restless due to lack of medical resources. Lucy starts to realize that Eve, her godmother is dangerous and not good for Eden. Gabriel has been allowed into in Eden, kept isolated and then tasked to find his old stomping ground Area 82, led by Freyda.
This book pulled me in, as did the others, more in depth characters about the central three. The words flow so well that suddenly I was at the last page!! Now I need the next and final book!!

For me, this was the strongest book in the series so far. When the women of Eden move in with the much more advanced (and inclusive) gang of Elysium, we get some very enjoyable world-building and culture clashes, as well as some much-needed real relationships between the characters.
The character of Eve is still, to me, implausibly nuts for a person who is supposed to be functional and nominally a leader in her community. Then again, our recent history suggests that perhaps I'm wrong thinking this.
The book is a quick read with lots of action, and the ending really launches itself into the finale of the series.
Full disclosure: I received an advance review copy of this book for free, but all opinions expressed in this review are my own, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The women of Eden think that they are safe but resources are becoming scarce. They turn to their leader, Eve but all she can do is hope for a miracle until one turns up in the shape of a man, Gabriel.
This story is one about the struggle for survival after loss. The loss of security, trust and love.
I like the way that it has been written from the point of view of several of the main characters with them having their own chapters.
This is an engaging series that I would recommend to those who enjoy a well written story but you must begin with book 1, Eden Rising, to fully understand what’s going on.
I’m enjoying this series, and will read the 4th book as well, but this one let me down a bit. The characters are interesting and I like that each chapter comes from their point of view. I’ve growth weary of the Eve character though. She obviously has some severe issues that others in the story have noticed and have become concerned. I think that’s why the ending was so implausible to me. I’m hoping it’s quickly resolved in the next installment.

Book 3 of the Dark Sanctuary series continues the Saga of Eve and her followers as they migrate to a new home. Eve is losing her control and struggling to hang on desperate to keep her lead.Meanwhile Lucy is embarking on a new relationship and with it come dark secrets that could destroy everything . This is such a well written series and I actually love the fact that Eve is so unlikable. It's an interesting twist forme to feel this way about the leaf character. A great read for lovers of dystopian stories. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
There are definitely some writing quirks and plot holes (how was Eve friends, as a teenager, with a woman old enough to have a child, and friendly enough to be that child’s godmother? How did Lucas serve in the Black Marines if he’s a teen during the current story? He wouldn’t have been old enough while the Black Marines still existed.) but the story is still good and I’ll finish the series even if I cringe every time I see the word “smirk”.
Book 3 is a game changer! The group leaves Eden and moves to Elysium….which may not be the paradise everyone is hoping for. New alliances are made and new battle lines are drawn. But life goes on: teen crushes and new relationships. And the ending…😳😳😳
Loved this book and cannot wait to start reading book 4!

On the last sentence of this book my reaction was one word…
Wow! This really surpassed my expectations. Read this one in one night( yeah I'm tired I need to sleep). This was totally worth losing sleep. Once again a big resounding wow! Note: I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Eden’s women are now transported to the slick and technically advanced ‘Elysium’ where a new utopia awaits them. However, this new land is shared with men and Eve wants to regain her power and to banish the men. Her madness and hatred lead to a terrifying ending. Really want to know how this finishes in book 4.
Another great installment in the Dark Sanctuary series. All I can say is dang. That ending though! This dystopian series is so good. Lots of action and drama, the thrills are non stop. I swear my blood pressure is going crazy reading this series. I can’t wait to see what happens in the final book!
Eden Collapsing by Shade Owen is an amazing third book in The Dark Sanctuary series. I loved how the story keeps getting more intense. Eve’s struggle for power, Gabriel’s inner battles, and Lucy’s discoveries make it hard to put down. The new setting adds mystery and drama. I’m hooked on this series and can’t wait to read the final book!
An excellent follow on from Eden falling. A good, well thought out plot, full of action intrigue, murder and deceit. The clif hanger at the end will leave you in suspense and wanting to find out what happens next.
