Alone is a third story about Alex Hale the Prairie Orphan. Alex left the friendly confines of Billie Long’s ranch around Adobe, New Mexico. His trip west is a rush to escape the person who is trying to kill him and get his horse, Freedom. He is chased toward his family in California as he tries to escape the chaser. He does arrive home and is welcomed.
