Growing up in the foster care system, West Hammond was shuffled from family to family, never feeling as though he belonged. Until he became friends with Logan Fields in the Marine Corps. As Logan and West became tight, West spent every leave and every holiday with Logan and his parents. Now, forty and retired, West and Logan can't be closer. Or, at least, that's what West thinks until he makes a poor choice of a bet and the two men take part in a foursome. West never expects to find himself attracted to Logan. Where did these feelings come from? With a newly launched career and a fifteen-year friendship on the line, West is afraid that following his heart might ruin the best relationship he's ever had.
This book follows Logan and West after the novel Wanna Bet.
Truly loved this full-length story with Logan and West. We get more in-depth on their relationship. How they finally deal with their feelings over the foursome bet. How that started the change in West .
Logan has to deal with a former girlfriend of West's and also some bad news regarding his mother.
Through it all, they learn together how to navigate this new aspect of their relationship.
We finally get to see West and Logan sort themselves out. This had the heavy topic of dealing with Logan's mom being ill, and the characters really supported each other well. I liked how there wasn't a ton of relationship angst here. The first prequel story gave us a lot of the background so we were able to jump right into them acknowledging and acting on their feelings relatively early on. I'm enjoying this series.
I really enjoyed All Bets are Off by Rebecca James. I was so excited for it after I read the series prequel, Wanna Bet! is a great friends to lovers story about a couple of former Marines turned Security Experts. Super steamy from beginning to end, and fun with the Balls & Brawn Security guys as well. Romance - ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Steam - 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Humor - 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Angst - 😭😭😭 Writing - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I read the prequel and immediately jumped into this book. I needed to know more. And this book did not disappoint. There was so much going on but it all played out really nicely. This should've been book one. I'm not sure why it wasn't. I'll go back and read book one however.
Older 40 something late in life bi. Best friends for 15 years discover they want to be more than friends. A few editing issues but it didn’t take away from the story.
