She’s everything he doesn’t want. Honorable. Beautiful. Strong… wait, what?

Reece lost everything. Twice. Now, he finally has a chance to earn back his place with the Hawks. There’s only one problem: he has to work with Daena. He doesn’t trust her. He doesn’t even like her. And if his beast would just shut up about how perfect she is, that would really help.

If there’s one kind of man Daena’s learned to stay well away from, it’s a handsome liar. But the more Reece reveals—the more she glimpses the vulnerable soul he’s hidden for so long—the closer she wants to get.

But now is not a good time to get close to anyone. Reece and Daena are undercover on a dangerous mission. They’re surrounded by enemies and one wrong move could mean catastrophe.

Can they let go of the past and find a future, standing strong together? Or will they fall, and take the kingdom down with them?

Reece, the final book in The Hawks series, is a sexy, enemies to lovers, adult fantasy romance full of swords, shifters (kind of), and tons of action. But fair warning: This book is intended only for readers who love fast-paced adventure, soul mates and found family—and characters who curse when they fight for survival. If that’s you, happy reading.

Jennie Lynn Roberts believes that every kickass heroine should have control of her own story, a swoony hero to fight beside her, and a guaranteed happily ever after. Because that doesn’t always happen in real life, she began creating her own worlds that work just the way they should. And she hasn’t looked back since.

Jennie would rather be writing than doing anything else—except for spending time with her gorgeous family, of course. But when she isn’t building vibrant new worlds, she can be found nattering with friends, baking up a storm, or strolling in the woods around her home in England.

If you want to talk books, romance, movies, reluctant heroes, or just about anything else with Jennie, feel free to contact her on Facebook or Instagram But be prepared to settle in for a long chat if you bring up shifters, vampires, Star Wars, or The Princess Bride….

REECE is the fifth and final book in The Hawks series, and I'm not emotionally ready for this series to be over. It just can't be! 😭 There is still so much I want to know. And I love the world they have built/are building. It simply can't be over!!!

Okay, so moving past my emotional breakdown, what can I say about this book? Reece has been a character that has tugged on my heartstrings from the very beginning, but I only knew part of his story. Now I know it all and yep, it broke my heart. Ms Roberts has a way of transferring emotions onto the page (or screen) that is second-to-none. I love how she draws me into the characters, learning what makes them tick, their foibles, and their quirks. Daena is strong, certainly stronger than she thought she was. She had a harsh lesson to learn, but learn it she did, and she won't make the same mistakes twice.

This book is full of action and suspense. Andred is clever, but will Daena and Reece figure out his game plan before hundreds die? I won't say as I don't want to inadvertently give anything away. I will say I couldn't put the book down, completely hooked on the story.

This whole series has been a fantastic world to visit, full of love, loyalty, and found family. I'm just not ready for it to be over. It's not, is it? Please tell me there's more to come! I may just have to return to the beginning and read it all again, just to tide me over.

Do I recommend it? Oh, hell yes!!! But do yourself a favour, and start at the beginning! Tristan will thank you for it! Or maybe Kaden will if you go right back. Personally, I'd start with Kaden to get the full experience.

Independent reviewer for Book Sirens, I was gifted my copy of this book.

This is the last book in The Hawks series, and it really cannot be read as a stand alone book. I mean, it could, but to get the full picture of Reece, you need to have read the other books: Tristan, val, Mathos and Tor, before this one.

Reece is hurting, but he can find his redemption in this one last task for the Hawks. But to do it, he has to work with Daena, a truth seeker, and she can read him like a book. But when reece discovers that daena is hurting equally as much as he is, he begins to see her too. They might not make it out alive, but they can at least atone for their sins.

Oh I'm so flipping sad!! This last book, right?? Has to be, for ME, the most painful reading. I mean Val was hard, given the level of violence, but this one is a different sort of hard, and I cried, both for Reece and for Daena, a lot.

They are both trying to atone for their perceived sins, neither of them actually did what they were accused of, bot they still feel the need to give back to the people they did not hurt. Daena, to the Queen and Reece to the Hawks.

Both make startling discoveries about the other and them selves here, and when they do finally really see each other?? Oh it's beautiful. I said in another review: these guys love hard and fight hard and Reece does that here. He fights for Daena, even if he thinks she doesn't want him.

The kingdom is now at peace. Those trying to out Lucilla off the throne have been captured or disposed of, and now the Hawks can really love hard the women who caotured their hearts. It was great to catch up with them all here.

What I loved best, though?? This book comes full circle. There is an epilogue from Tristan, whose book was book one. As Tristan weds Nim, his beast says: all is well, all is well. And it really is.

But!

I don't want this to end, and there are guys who did not get a book yet!

I'll wait, impatiently, to see who pops up!

Reece is the fifth and final installment of the Hawks, and I’m honestly in love with this world, and so sorry to see it end.
Reece has had a spot in my heart since book one, when something tragic and accidental on his part happens, setting a chain of events into motion he had no control over. His self deprecation, self hatred, and loathing of everything could have painted him as a bit of a dickhead, but with his beast there to constantly temper him, he was so lovable.
Daena, instantly lovable for me. Even though parts of her body are broken, she herself is far from it. Her continuous path of self discovery throughout this book was refreshing. Being able to tell a lie from taste was interesting and I enjoyed the descriptions of it because it really put into focus how hard she had to cover up her body’s sometimes very visceral reactions.

I really enjoyed the way this book ended. She gives us HEAs and good ones.
This series just kinda popped up outta nowhere for me at a time I didn’t know I needed it. Read these all on my kindle and will be buying physical copies so I can go back and read them for some mental TLC.

Basically it’s all the good stuff - hot, possessive, feminist men. Hot, strong, bad ass women. Enemies to lovers sometimes, friends to lovers, really good build up and well written spicy scenes. Excellent plot, good action scenes, characters that you’re supposed to hate that are easy to hate because they’re deplorable. And, my favorite part - founded family. A group of people who decide they are family, together.

I loved this book! Reece and Deana were both flawed but strong in the best ways. Of the two, I really liked Deana, because she was really strong - and it was so nice to see a female lead who was morally and mentally strong, instead of just physically strong. No matter what is thrown at Deana, she perseveres. I love it.

And I also really liked that she is shown as needing to practice getting stronger, which I feel is not touched on enough when it comes to fantasy.

Reece was a little frustrating, lol, because I was with his 'beast' (his shifter/animal side) when it came to most things. I honestly find this a mark of good writing, though, because it means the author was able to make us CARE about the characters so much!

I absolutely loathed the villain. We all know entitled guys like these, men who think they can do no wrong just because they're good-looking and rich. I was so glad when he gets what's coming to him.

I really enjoyed this book, definitely going to check out the rest in this series!

Wow... Jennie Lynn Roberts has done it again.
I love this book. Finally, we get to know Reece. We get to understand why he acted as he did in the previous books. We get to follow him through his internal struggle, while he slowly falls in love with a very strong woman.

Daena is truly a very strong woman. Yes, she was very naïve at one point, but after everything she has been through, she still keeps fighting to make everything right.

There are so many twists and turns in this book that it is difficult to put down. I can definitely recommend this entire series. I just hope that it is not the last we hear about The Hawks.

Romance and action is well balanced in this fifth installment of "The Hawks" and even the sword fighting is not overly detailed or exhaustingly long. Two highly loveable MC's and all the well-known and beloved characters from previous books plus some villainous villains.
My only problem was how Daena managed to hold an elaborate speech while having a broken clavicle and a blade to her throat. Seems everything is solved, but maybe there'll be a sixth book?

Reece is book number 5 in The Hawks series by Jennie Lynn Roberts.
This is Reece and Daena's story.
This book is a perfect combination of action and romance.
Well, it is impossible to not like a protective hero and a strong heroine.
So much inspirations and moral values you can learn in this one.
And the world building.. It is my kind of book.
Not forgetting the thrilling adventure, I feel all the excitements while reading Reece.

This book had the kind of main characters that I love. Reece and Deana are flawed, but that doesn’t make them weak or in any way lesser. They’re both strong and determined, not just physically but emotionally and mentally, too. They persevere and they overcome. I love that so much! The romance and action are perfectly balanced, never too much emphasis on one over the other. There are twists and turns, and plenty of intrigue. And the world-building is amazing. It was easy to fall into their world, to feel a part of it.

This was so much fun! The chemistry between Diana and Reece was so palpable. I was hooked from the beginning. Once again I loved the family bond of all the Hawks. They really are all just one big family and I find myself always rooting for them. I have to say that Andred was the best villain of the series. Overall this was such a satisfying conclusion to the series. But I hope that we get to read about the remaining Hawks that didn't get their own book. Jeremiel, Garet, Jos and Rafe also deserve their own happy ending and if Miss Roberts decides to write it, I will definitely read it.

Another strong entry in The Hawks series, I've enjoyed the previous four book. This entry was really well done and had what I enjoyed from the type of book, the characters were great and I was invested in what was happening to them. I can't wait to read more from this series and author.

This is a well written, very good book that got my attention right from the beginning and held it until the end. Although it is part of a series it read as a standalone novel without loads of words explaining the past events. Very well done.

The Hawks series is one of my ultimate favorites, and the beautiful covers say it. Jennie Lynn Roberts is an amazing author, and never disappoints with a release.

Reece continues after everything that happened in Tor…

Reece is out on an important mission that could save or destroy the kingdom. He wants to prove himself and earn his place back in The Hawks

Daena is going with him, and he has to find a way to trust her; otherwise, the whole mission will fail. They will enter enemy grounds. They have to be careful with every move they make, and there are some difficult decisions for both of them.

The setting, characters, and emotions in the book are incredible. The whole series is a page-turner. Reece is the fifth and final book in the series. I’m heartbroken that the series has ended, but I know Jennie has more surprises and books in the works. Thank you for this amazing journey.

The series is for all Adult Fantasy Romance lovers.

A Must Read !!!!
