This is a classic reference book to get a first course in analysing networks with R. It covers a large landscape of SNA with insight. The slight doubt is that the authors use their own tailor-made R package for the book rather than more standard SNA packages such as igraph or network. It is thus unclear how much the practitioner should invest in this specific package, given maintenance etc. issues in the long run. But overall, a must read book to learn about social network analysis.
